The Morning Report — 5/ 13 /25

Hogg-Tied.jpg

Good morning kids. So, President Trump is supposedly in hot water because he accepted the gift of a jumbo jet fromQatar. To be fair, does he as a private citizen who via the Trump Organization owns at least one if not more private jets, jumbo and otherwise, and as POTUS has access to Air Force One and the entire damned Air Force at his disposal really need this? Also, why give your/his enemies a way to attack you in the first place? Surely he and his advisers could've handled this more artfully. Or what am I missing.

On a positive note, after a year and a half being held captive by the subhuman bestial Hamas terrorists, Edan Alexander, the last American hostage was released thanks to the efforts spearheaded by the President, and of course to say nothing of the IDF's latest push to plough Gaza into the Mediterranean.

Unfortunately, the Democrats are looking to remove the DNC vice chair David Camera/Hogg from his position? I guess shoving Bernie Sanders, Titty-Caca Ocasio and Jasmine Crockett in front of the cameras is not the best strategy for winning over the American electorate.

This item on the immigration front jumped out at me, for obvious reasons:

Forty-nine Afrikaners — whose lives are threatened in South Africa — landed in Dulles Airport, Va., on May 12. Another 70,000 mostly poor, rural, white South Africans have applied to join the refugee program. The arrival of the legitimate refugees was greeted with hate and disdain by pro-migration groups and media.

“My read of this is that the administration is trolling the left,” Mark Krikorian, director of the Center for Immigration Studies, told Breitbart News. He added: “Admitting these few dozen Afrikaners is kind of trolling to get the left to find one immigrant, one refugee group that they don’t want. The numbers are small, but the Episcopal migration service dropped out of the refugee business rather than help these guys. So [Trump’s trolling] is  already working.”

Many South Africans have already migrated to Australia, amid the Australian government’s invited inflows of Indians, Arabs, and Chinese to the country. “Australia wants them … Let them go there,” Krikoran said.

Donald Trump has frozen the U.S. refugee program, which was scheduled to import another 125,000 migrants in 2025. His administration is instead promoting policies to force more wealth-generating, wage-boosting investment in workplace productivity.

I can't wait for the usual gaggle of racialists, America-haters and others to trip all over themselves and expose themselves to the American people for their hypocrisy in shrieking about this while defending Hamas terrorists and the Tren de Aragua Illegal alien criminals as victims of President Trump's Hitlerite deportation orders.

And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know.

Have a great day.

That the media reports are flat-out lies.

Check the post by Insty yesterday evening, quoting Buzz Patterson.
The plane goes to the Dept. of Defense, not the Office of President and absolutely not to Trump.

Bottom line: The same people that cheered when Biden left billions of dollars in equipment and dozens of lives littering the ground when he ran from Afghanistan are now pretending to be upset that Trump saved America $400 million on a interim upgrade for AF1.

Posted by: runner at May 13, 2025 07:53 AM (g47mK)

48 There's a complicated reason behind the Qatari jet being "gifted" to the administration. It boils down to a multi-year delay in delivery of two, newer 747's that are being converted to Air Force 1's. The contract was originally set to deliver at least one jet last year, IIRC... but now won't deliver it until after Trump leaves office. He's unhappy with that. The existing AF-1's are pretty outdated, requiring extensive maintenance before and after each flight too.

I think the Qatari jet's already tricked out for VIP's so that part's done... unless Trump has it gutted. But the "cost savings" here is that this plane isn't costing the taxpayers anything. And the installation of all the comms, defensive systems, etc. will still end up costing hundreds of millions and take considerable time.

I think in the end it will be the security services that have some say in how this plays out.

Why?

Also, why does AF1 need to be a gigantic plane?

It needs to be big enough for the President to, literally, live aboard for an extended period with family, staff, and media included. It has, I believe, the capability for in-flight refueling, massive secure communications and military countermeasures.

It's not just transport.

79 On the 747 controversy that has turned last week's due process experts into this week's aeronautical engineering experts: One thing that hasn't been remarked upon is part of the delay in Boeing's delivery of the next Air Force 1 (using airframes which were originally built for Russia!) is the FAA.

Under FAA regulations, those aircraft... even before they have even flown ... will need to be completely taken apart and reassembled as part of scheduled maintenance. The schedule for which is based on when the airframes were constructed, whether they've been flown or not. Boeing tried to get a waiver on the very logical basis that the planes haven't been flown yet, but was denied.

The realistic date for first flight is not 2029, but no earlier than 2032.

85 It needs to be big enough for the President to, literally, live aboard for an extended period with family, staff, and media included.

Meh ... on this, I agree with the original question. If the President is airborne, and suddenly can't land anywhere in four to eight hours ?

Then I don't give a shit. He's just a man. Shit has become bad enough on the ground that The Preezy up in the air no longer matters in the big scheme.

Some cultures take great offense at refusing gifts. Not sure if that's part of the calculus in all of this.

Whatever though. The Smithsonian has an entire exhibit and archive of gifts sent to the Presidents over the years. This one doesn't bug me all that much. If the Qataris are trying to curry favor then they are bribing the wrong guy.

The communications gear alone just staggers the imagination. The defensive measures that are not classified do too.

A buddy of mine flew AF-2 (used by VP and cabinet members) some decades ago. These are not by any means, "normal" aircraft.

110 Hogg wants to take the money from the DNC then stab it in the back with his PAC. he should do the honorable thing and resign to go run his special interest group.

It is a volunteer position. He's not taking anything from the DNC. He’s also not doing anything against the DNC rules. He’s not even doing anything other vice chairs haven’t done.

Systems resist change and will resort to ratfuckery if necessary. This isn't going to end well for anyone. Hopefully cooler heads prevail.

it was ratfuckery that helped Hogg get elected. Glad to see the DNC might do the right thing and hold another fair election.

The election was rightly challenged, and wrongly ignored. DNC broke its rules on gender diversity in party officer elections, invalidating the election of Hogg and a second vice chair, Malcolm Kenyatta.

If he hadn't rocked the boat, there would be no talk of a new election.

The Headline needs to be re-written: DNC tired of shooting itself in the electoral foot and is now targeting more vital organs.

This is one cynical mfer.

There have been numerous massacres of white South African farmers on their own property over the last few decades.

If any group on the planet deserves an asylum claim for being threatened, and persecuted it’s white South Africans.

Why in the world shouldn’t we take some when they’ve only been offered asylum by the Aussies and the Russians.

We are going to continue receiving some immigrants every year for the foreseeable future for all kinds of reasons.

Are we allowed to pick and choose who will assimilate the best in this country or do we just let anybody in based on melatonin content and political fashion statements?

Boeing can’t get their act together and won’t deliver the one on order until something crazy like 2029. Qatar isn’t giving Trump anything, they are loaning it to the US. The next president gets to use it, too, until Boeing delivers the plane they should be making but are doing other things. We should ask why Boeing after the space debacle, but my guess is that the plane is paid for already. By the way, when Vance is on the plane, it will be AF2.

- Air Force is aging, and it can't be replaced for 8-10 years.
- This plane is smaller - gives him a reason to keep most of the press off it.
- Most importantly - as a gift to HIM, he can decide who maintains/pilots it. I've long been suspicious The Deep State would LOVE to arrange an "accident" on AF1. With this plane, HE is in control of who has access.
- ALL donations to a president or his family, above a certain value, go to the government. He can USE it, but he cannot take it with him. So, he is not profiting from accepting it.

These are legal immigrants invited in and facilitated by our government.

The “refugees” she’s trying to compare them to come in illegally, and are then called refugees after the fact, so the Dems can fast track them into voting Dem for the rest of their subsidized lives.

And they’re not even refugees.
They’re economic migrants who are fleeing the shithole countries they helped to create by voting socialist at every opportunity.

I don't want to scandalize anyone by not kneeling, even though there are no rubrics for the faithful in the TLM. I figure the Mystical Body of Christ can do the kneeling for me. In return, I always wear a coat and tie so none of the other guys have to.

The two AF-1s Trump had on order his first term, and renegotiated to get a better deal from Boeing, are still not finished. Qatar is making a massive purchase of new Boeings to upgrade their fleet and probably replace the 747.

If government prints fewer dollars - by spending less or taxing more - you'll get less inflation.

240 Hello. Yesterday I read that this plane is on loan until Boeing gets their shit together. A new plane was ordered during the Obama years. The plane currently in use for presidential travel is 40 years old and needs to be retired.

Secondly, I wish Trump would stop with the BS for pro football. I don't care about shit like that.

Thirdly my retirement deposit from DFAS went poof in April. No news on that yet.

Sorry not sorry.

Have a good one.

Yes, where it will be decommissioned.
It’s not like Trump is going to use it personally.

And there’s no guarantee it will end up at his library. That’s just Trump’s wish. The Air Force doesn’t have to go along with it, and I’m sure Congress will have to get involved for a final decision anyhow.

What are the Qataris going to get with their influence peddling? All they sell is oil and time share condos on the Persian Gulf.

Is Trump going to build a golf course and hotel in Doha or something?

They are trying to curry favor, like a lot of governments around the world are doing with Trump right now. Some give him an invitation to a State Dinner with the King and others gift a 747.

If there’s no proof of some kind of quid pro quo then I don’t see the problem with a gift from one country to another.

310 The plane is a distraction. Keep your eye on the trade “deal” with China. We had a chance to crush China and reshore a lot of critical manufacturing. That’s not how this current agreement is shaping up based on the reports. There is also no information how they will stop the transshipment of Chinese goods through third countries, and their overall cheating. The current agreement actually allows them to start shipping goods again, albeit at a higher tariff of +30%. That’s not enough to meet all the goals the president set and basically a higher margin of the goods coming in. I would say the jury is still out on this and we’ll see where we are in 90 days.

Whether it ends up at his library or not probably doesn't matter one way or the other.

I'd rather he doesn't make decisions based on what will be said by his deceptive enemies. It will all be said anyway.

It's not about whether it's a mistake or not. As long as he's fighting and trying to do the stuff he promised, I don't care. Plus details always emerge later which significantly change every one of these stories.

320 JJ, Trump isn't accepting the plane from Qatar. The US Military is - because Boeing can't pull its head out of its ass.

The existing AF1 (I believe there are two of them) are relics from the 80's and are in dire need of replacement.

The 747-800 thats being sent over by Qatar is practically brand new and will be retrofitted by a contractor to become AF1 and is expected to enter service in 2029 - after Trump is out of office.

This is exactly the kind of news distortion that the left likes to play up as controversy when there is literally no controversy.

Politics is an unforgiving taskmaster. It forces your hand in order to get anything done on a very short timeline. Will we be better off in the end? Heck, yes but it is nowhere near the goals that were outlined. I understand negotiating as much as the next guy. But a lot of that is whittling down numbers, not completely giving up on objectives like reshoring critical industries. We’ve also been lectured on how the Chinese threat is being funded with our own money. We had a chance to smoke them if we only kept our balls a little longer. Again, we will see what happens in 90 days but this isn’t a good start if we are really trying to achieve all those goals.

That's so fucking dumb. I don't agree with anyone all of the time least of all nic changers but there is a large contingent here that criticizes Trump non-stop and accuses anyone who doesn't agree with them of being in a cult because that's super childish and just pisses people off.

There is no deal yet with China so criticizing it is also stupid. There is a trade framework with details still being worked on. People who insisted from the jump the tariffs wouldn't work were obviously wrong, they are working as intended. Will we get everything we would like out of the new global reset on trade. Of course not. Will it be demonstrably better than where we were which was headed toward insolvency? Likely.

The cult is the people who are still trying to fight the last election and the cult is getting smaller by the day.

Obama changed the numbers to make it look like he deported a lot of people. Because he counted someone caught at the border and sent back as a “deportation”. And I think that never changed.

That 616k doesn’t mean ice agents found 616k people and deported them.

387 >>But Trump *isn't* doing that. The US military is accepting the plane. It won't even be Trump's plane!!! It *MAY* be JD Vance's plane but it certainly will not be Trump's AF1.

Ah, but 15 years from now all anyone will remember was "Trump accepted a jet from Qatar" and HBO will include it as a known bribe as part of their OrangeManBad docuseries that ensures that whatever the generation that follows Gen Z is fully indoctrinated in all of their lies while never consciously experiencing his presidency themselves.

389 Minnesota cracks me up. They didn't support the North Stars, so Norm Green made a deal to move them south and bring hockey to Texas. Minnesotans got pissed and demanded a team, which they got, in the Wild. Now, there's this supposed 'rivalry' between the two teams.

Uh, if you'd have supported the team in the first place as you do now, they never would've left.

-----------------

The problem is, though, Minnesota is home to a couple of the best college hockey teams in America. Kids grow up playing hockey, outside in sub zero weather. High school hockey is huge. People in MN have access to great hockey on a lot of levels. The North Stars, under Norm Green, in a lot of ways, fell short by comparison. Heck, the Stars didn't become a great team until the people who induced Green to move the team to Dallas forced him out.

390 re: Alzheimer's article

Neware sensationalized headlines, especially in the New York Post.

"Our results suggest that taking these drugs could prevent approximately 1 million new cases of Alzheimer’s disease every year.”"

Count the weasel words.

There is a whole industry of publishing splashy headlines touting miracle breakthrough life-changing cures that don't pan out. Approach with a reasonable degree of skepticism.

394 There is no deal yet with China so criticizing it is also stupid. There is a trade framework with details still being worked on. People who insisted from the jump the tariffs wouldn't work were obviously wrong, they are working as intended.

Look at the market reaction. The deal is real and it’s spectacular. And by that I mean the deal is Trump has backed down from trying to fuck China.

Will there be a few crumbs in it for the US? Probably. A few pound of extra American beef will be allowed into China. Things like that.

But in the grand scheme of things, we’re back to status quo.

I don't give a shit about the daily up and downs of the inside traders on Wall Street. The deal is not done and no matter how many times you say it is it won't become true until the deal is done.

Trump isn't getting bribed by qatar with a plane, he isn't a Putin stooge, he didn't threaten Ukraine on a phone call and just about everything else the media reports is a lie. It's only been a decade of this shit so far, how long are people going to keep falling for the left's lies instead of watching what actually happens?

400 The Democratic National Convention voted to void its election of David Hogg as vice chair of the Democratic Party on Monday. The vote comes after mounting internal criticism of Hogg, though party officials say the vote was based on a procedural challenge made in February claiming Hogg and another official were improperly elected. The DNC will vote later this year on whether to remove Hogg.

Loose bolts in some of those it is intended to carry, as well as the airframe -- the CTHARRIS/19 coup begins, Kaine, Hegseth and Gabbard are the only ones who can stop it at this point, unless they're in on it.

402 Good morning, all. Thanks, J.J.

Sean W. Rowe, the presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, letter included: "I am saddened and ashamed that many of the refugees who are being denied entrance to the United States are brave people who worked alongside our military in Iraq and Afghanistan."

What a nasty political stunt. Episcopal News Service (ENS), 'Support for USAID needed now,' Feb. 6, 2025

USCIS has not "quit" the Afghan nationals who've been paroled into the US, or those applying for humanitarian parole from outside the US. Further, the Episcopal Church should consider the snail's pace of the specific program under the Biden administration & that the current administration has been in place less than 4 months.

The church maintains an Afghan Refugee Fund. Work with the US government to aid entry into the US under legitimate/legal REFUGEE status.

In addition to Afghans, some other White people the Episcopal church has supported : ENS, '7 times Episcopal and Anglican leaders spoke against Russia’s aggression toward Ukraine,' By ENS Staff, Posted Feb 19, 2025

BTW nearly 50% of all refugees in the US from 2011 to 2023 came from Myanmar, the DR of Congo or Iraq.

403 "Illegal Immigrant Youth Gang Members Released After Assaulting NYPD Officers"

Never word if the youthful gang members have been some of the many unaccompanied children, "foster" children, trafficked, or otherwise wards of the state. Cutting off sanctuary city, county or state funding is entirely different than having the right to access records for payments to private hotels, etc. for sheltering the 'poor' and good fiscal management.

If nothing else, forensic accounts and auditing the crap out of those paying and those being paid.

Good day 😊
