I missed you guys, too.
Baseball is a mixed bag.
Little's started strong, then nobody can seem to field, and although he is doing alright, his hitting could be stronger. Oldest's has been pretty steadily competitive, and he has been starting to block as catcher, which is getting to be next level and is attracting attention from people commenting on his skills (only about 1 season). He got a walkoff 2 RBI double last week, then he was stopping mostly everything in last night's game, he had another opportunity to tie it up/walkoff, but he popped out with two outs.

Its like the surprise cucumbers. Cats find anything new repellent at first, and foil on the counter makes a noise and is slippery.

I always watch that.
I remember once the doctor got to zealous and had like 9 draws and the tech used the jumbo sized one. I caught a fever almost at once, which starts my hacking cough which if i don't stop it can get even worse side effects. I was so mad I told the doctor to ration his blood draws.

Part of his last hospital visit was due to a cat scratch. Due to his blood thinners, there was excessive bleeding. Also might have contributed to sepsis. I was joking about depriving it, I don't expect he would turn out a pet for acting like an animal.

This video is longer and gives more information. That robot is strong, and can pick up heavy loads. It could, quite accidentally, kill a man when flailing like that. The techs running it screwed up, big time, and are lucky they didn’t get hit. Not letting anything more than a wind up toy robot near me any time in the immediate future.

That's the first thing I gave my cat when she was a kitten (I had forgotten to bring any toys when I received her) and they're still her favorite toy to this day, six years later. Every day, I find one or two in her food bowl.

I look at the Moon rising in the eastern sky, and its North Pole is my left, and the South on my right, as are the poles of Earth. At the zenith, its North pole is at the top of the orb, and its South pole at the bottom. Now I move to the Southern Hemisphere, and look at the Moon rising in the East. Its North pole is still on my left, as is the North pole of Earth, and its South pole is on my right, as is the the South pole of Earth. When it reaches the zenith, and I look northward to see it, its South pole is at the top of the orb, and my back is facing South on Earth.

Or, a thought experiment. Imagine looking straight at a clock, and doing a cartwheel. When you're standing up, you're "at the north pole" and 12 o'clock is on top. When you're halfway through the cartwheel, you're "at the south pole" and 6 o'clock is on top. All the numbers get their turn as the "top" of the clock as you rotate.
That's why there won't be a video of the moon suddenly flipping as you cross the equator; your view of it slowly rotates as you change latitude. At the equator, it rises on it's "left side", flies directly overhead, and sets on its "right side," relative to a northern-hemisphere view.

Pencil shavings also work, you can bring along a small pencil sharpener and shave off bits of dry sticks.
The best fire starter is vaseline on cotton balls, but they are really sticky to carry in your pocket.
I like pitch soaked scraps of cotton cloth since they burn hotter than vaseline, and I am not tempted to eat them. I have also used wax soaked string, and wax soaked cloth rolled up into little "cigarettes" as well.

In the southern hemisphere, it's the other way, with the sun lighting it up from left to right, and the waxing crescent is like this (
At the equator, it lights up from the bottom to the top. Or the top to the bottom, depending on whether you look at it as it's rising or setting.
And the crescent moon occasionally looks tilted and bowl-like even when you're away from the equator, since the moon's path isn't directly over the equator, and the earth is tilted on its axis.

The "flipping" and upside down and left right and all that is entirely due to you local reference frame.
For example, imagine watching the Moon rise and set over the course of a night. First imagine using an alt-az mount scope tracking it. In that, the Moon or any object will appear to rotate.
With an equatorial mount, rotating along an axis parallel with the earth's, there is no rotation. That makes a big difference for tracking with long exposures.

Take two globes. Earth and moon would be exact, but two earth globes shows how it works.
Put a camera on the "north pole" of one and take a picture of the other. (With the bottom of the camera against the globe, as though you were standing there holding it.) You get a rightside-up globe picture.
Put the camera on the "south pole" and do the same. Upside-down globe picture.
