Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Democrats to Biden: Drop DeadDemocrats claimed for years that Joe Biden ran the most successful presidency in history. But, for some reason, the Democrats are now demanding Biden disappear, and stop reminding people of the most successful presidency in history. I don't understand. If it's the most successful presidency in history, wouldn't you want to advertise?Joe Biden's return to the spotlight this week is igniting anger among Democrats who wish the former president would ride off into retirement and stay there. In a wide-ranging interview on "The View" with former First Lady Jill Biden on Thursday, Biden owned up to his role in Donald Trump's return to power even as he defended his decision to stay in the race as long as he did last year. But if he was expecting a warm reception, he's not getting it. Many in his party are desperate to turn the page on Biden's presidency, craving new leaders and fresh faces as Democrats look to find a way out of the political wilderness.Below, two videos. In the first, a Biden insider reveals that Biden was always lying about only serving a single term. He says from the first moment they usurped the White House, the Biden team was fixated on winning -- "winning" -- a second term. The second video is a compilation of headlines telling Biden to just die already. I mean, they don't say that, but that's what they mean.

For years, the Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) insisted that the border could not be sealed without granting amnesty and a path to citizenship to the 30 million illegals already here.
That reminds me of how global warming can only be solved by giving rich people and NGOs a ton of money to fly private jets to the top tourism destinations in the world to have very important conferences. Posted by: 18-1 at May 12, 2025 04:45 PM (t0Rmr) 14

When I asked my orthopedic surgeon what my hip would cost if I had no insurance, he said it would be exactly the same. He thought it wrong to charge different prices for the same procedure depending on who paid.
Drugs should be the same. I'm not wild about the Fed dictating prices, but I do like the idea of Medicare/Medicaid insisting upon being treated fairly. Here is what your surgeon didn't tell you. Insurance companies only pay 1/6th of what the "official" price of a procedure is. Offer to pay the surgeon what the insurance company would pay; he is just counting on you not knowing how things work and ripping you off for full list price. Sean Spicer and Dan Turrentine are partisans, but call balls and strikes more regularly than the shills that are featured on the Sunday talk show circuit. Takes me back to Halperin's daily emails that he'd send out when he was with ABC News. I knew he reported things from a left-center perspective even then, but it was great news that gave you an idea what DC was like (the 500, IIRC).
I wasn't a fan of his rehab tour after he got 86'd from Morning Schmoe, but, very much like Megyn Kelly, I've warmed up to following them again. Still at arms-length, however, but still. Posted by: Darrell Harris at May 12, 2025 05:12 PM (cVZg4) 174

What happens if the current administration takes the plunge and instead of just ridiculing Biden, starts holding him accountable for the various immoral illegalities that he's piled up?
Ole' Joe has no allegiance to anyone but Ole' Joe. He'd rat out his own mother if it benefited himself personally. At the same time, all the parties trying to get him to go away at present would have to do a 180 degree turn and start laying accolades upon him or risk being snitched upon. This is where I part ways with Trump. First term he failed to put "heads on pikes outside the Capitol Gates." There were no deterrents, and it continued. Biden was asked on “The View” if he felt responsible for Trump’s victory. “Yes, I do, because, look, I was in charge and he won, so I take responsibility,” Biden said...“I think, you know, the greatest alliance in the history of the world is NATO, not a joke, and he’s blown it up,” he said. “He’s had the worst 100 days any president has ever had.”
Joe looked & sounded good on The View. Way more coherent than Trump. The American Public bears more responsibility, for being gullible and dumb AF. Just as in 2016, THEY GOT CONNED. Too many of the Pelosi Dems are going to read into Biden's self-blame. Why that question? Why is he responsible? That doesn't make sense to me considering the media hit job. I guess this is the equivalent of "do you think you would have done things differently?" or "do you have any regrets?". Because Biden is a real leader. He took the responsibility for things that occurred while he is in charge. He is very much a Harry Truman and not a Trump. If history remains recorded, it will recall Joe Biden as a great man. He fought against a stacked deck nobly and tirelessly. Posted by: Intercepted DU Transmissions brought by the Intrepid AoS Liaison at May 12, 2025 05:25 PM (ycI94) 258

"That the Dems thought that pitiful record would translate into national appeal is even nuttier than their usual squirrel-shit norm."
Biden was a laughingstock in the Beltway for *decades*. One of the dumbest, nastiest, least liked people there. His presidential runs were short-lived farces, as he is dumb, and had no appeal of any kind. He wasn't even at the "also ran" level. In 2020 he had no campaign, was video'd yelling at voters during rare in-person interaction - and got 81M votes. With an electorate as variously lazy, misinformed, batshit crazy, bigoted, and ignorant as that - and an election system that is farcically insecure - anything is possible. The thing about the Seinfeld theme is it was very catchy and you instantly identify it as the Seinfeld theme.
Then they used little riffs and themes throughout the episode for transitions. The episode starts out slow, with long scenes between characters. As the story advances, the scenes get shorter and more humorous as the hijinks start blowing up in everyone’s faces. By the end the scenes are very short, with lots of rapid cuts between characters. The music drives those transitions and ties it all together. Watch it sometime and imagine the theme song riffs aren’t there. It really impacts the show. Gonna need more than a papal conclave to save your asses in '28, Dems. Posted by: mrp at May 12, 2025 05:42 PM (rj6Yv) 354
That said clown used to sit next to John Murtha behind a card table in the Capitol building keeping track of and handing out Earmarks.

reate housing “controlled by tenants and not by landlords."
I own my home. Means I don't have a landlord to mow the lawn or fix the toilet. I or my wife have to do it ourselves. So are these "tenants" (how can they be "tenants" if they don't have "landlords?"), gonna mow the lawns and fix the toilets, too? Posted by: Bulg at May 12, 2025 05:42 PM (77rzZ) 356

346 What the hell does “ reparative public good”even mean??? Makes no sense at all.
Posted by: tubal ____ When you have to sacrifice time and money for something you need, like shelter, its harmful. You need the healing power of just taking what you need from the people who have it. Posted by: Chuck Martel at May 12, 2025 05:43 PM (Dv3i1) 359
Maybe go find a Green Acres rerun in Bulg's honor.

Yeah, but I don't see how you can get a good estimate of how many are still just walking across the border through some farmer's ranchland where there is no wall.
Posted by: Biff Pocoroba at May 12, 2025 04:58 PM (UBKzV) Count the skeletons when the snow melts. These aren't good lands to walk. They also leave debris behind. There aren't that many routes you need to arrange pickups. Posted by: Oldcat ===== They do amazing things with satellite and other imagery nowadays. Leftist Hannah Appel says she wants to “abolish rent” and create housing “controlled by tenants and not by landlords. Housing as a reparative public good.”
https://tinyurl.com/mucjjuzu Posted by: redridinghood at May 12, 2025 05:35 PM (NpAcC) — I hate to break it to Hannah, but once you go that route you won’t have housing because the residents will have trashed it all within a year and gangs will be running the joint by the next year. After that it will have fallen apart and been condemned as a public safety hazard. Everybody but Hannah, and her comrades, have seen this movie before. For TV openers, "The Great Adventure" had one of most stirring musical themes, ever. Composed by Richard Rogers.

As much as I enjoy watching the left burn themselves, they will only get worse. I just don't see sanity returning and clearer heads prevailing.
-------- Their psyches are too damaged to accept anything that contradicts the narrative that has been installed in their heads. Contradictory facts, data, or evidence literally do not make it past their eyes or ears. They are driven by idealogy, to the exclusion of all rational reason. Ever heard of IR? They can count how many are where anywhere along the border, north or south, day or night. If you think they aren’t, then you’re the naïf. Under Biden, they just didn’t care.
