ABC News reported today 5/8:
"President Donald Trump is strongly considering installing Fox News host and former prosecutor Jeanine Pirro as interim U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News. The potential selection comes as Trump told reporters in the Oval Office Thursday that Ed Martin, who is currently serving as D.C.’s interim top prosecutor, would not be taking the position permanently after losing support among top Republicans in the Senate. An announcement about a new interim U.S. attorney could come as soon as Thursday, sources said. Sources caution that plans could always change and a decision is never final until publicly announced by the president." Posted by: whig at May 08, 2025 05:21 PM (ctrM5) 61

The Texas house has about 25-30 rinos that will vote dem to kill conservative legislation. Fifteen years ago it was the senate doing the jig and Dan Patrick did yoemans work to clean them out. These rinos will rotate enough to try to hide but all it takes is 18 of them to joint the dems to control the house. My hunch is Cornyn always funds a repub candidate in the primary to dilute the vote and then counts on dems to carry him across the line on election day. They got a grand to investigate him and told the county it would take about $30k to convict him. 3 years and $430k+ later they had not even nailed down charges. Colin County refused to pay them. They tried to revive the case in Harris County (Houston) once the county flipped to dems. That was in 2017. Hurricane Harvey destroyed the county courts. That bought them more time. So 'tritium' sights don't have real tritium?
Posted by: Itinerant Alley Butcher at May 08, 2025 06:12 PM (/lPRQ) Maybe for 30 years, the half life of Tritium is 12.3 years. Posted by: Oldcat ----- Yep. I had a National Semiconductor watch about '78. The clock portion of it ran for more than 30 years, but the tritium "light" died to the point of uselessness in about 10 years. At the point that it stopped keeping time, you could still see the glow (but couldn't read the numbers) in a very dark room. I will be retiring next year and will spend all that extra time working to get Thom Turkey Tillis out.
He was a RINO in the legislature. He is a RINO now. If he wins the primary I will work for whatever Dem is running against him. No more supporting RINO's. Posted by: jimmymcnulty at May 08, 2025 08:33 PM (Oq0A7) 262
I hope Tillis get primaried and loses. I don't want to vote for a democrat, but given the choice between Tillis and democrat, the D is going to get my vote.

"I'm aware that someone uses a twitter account in his name, but most of what is attributed to him is him retweeting a fellow bishop."
His account, his words. If he doesn't know what is being posted in his name, he shows an astounding lack of judgement. Posted by: TC at May 08, 2025 10:18 PM (szqEY) Processing 0.04, elapsed 0.0502 seconds. |
