What would be almost as nice would be some more body and interior colors. Some greens, some reds, some different blues in the body paint, and some more cream and light gray and even light blue interiors. Everything now is black or white or grey or silver, maybe a red or dark blue here and there, maybe a gold; interiors, black and gray, once in a while a beige. And that's all.

We mentioned the '62 through '66 T-Birds in the last thread. They had some sharp colors. German carmakers understand that a contrast between body color and interior color is sharp, but not domestic manufacturers.

My dream: Buick goes back to making cars, revives the LaCrosse, and offers a two-door and a convertible: "Wildcat, by LaCrosse." Available with metallic blue and metallic green colors, a pale being interior, and a white convertible top. I am guaranteed at least four hugs a week -- two each from gSon and gDaughter. Usually there are many more in the offing.

gDaughter and I watched some videos of her from earlier times last week. She was able to explain to me to what she was referring at age three or four when she had asked me if I knew what a "Freeze Pony Girl" was. She had gotten so exasperated with me back then because I had no idea to what she was referring. It turned out to be some weird cross between My Little Pony and a young girl. I still did not understand it, but she assured me that she had dropped her interest in that subject because "it was kind of silly." Good to know, gDaughter!

Fabio, an Argentine blogger wrote an article "survival manual for Europeans without electricity" where he runs down the advantages South Americans have for dealing with blackouts.
He points out that South Americans have lots of experiences with general blackouts, in ways that the Europeans have forgotten about due to their prosperous present.
Any South American household has candles and matches, and the more advanced ones have kerosene lamps, money in his pocket, provisions for hauling water for drinking and flushing, and most cook on gas stoves, and there is always barbecue, all of which is necessary for their accustomed power outages of minutes or hours, with little warning or explanation afterwards

93 DH went golfing to day with his buddies, the sun is out and it's about 60 degrees, which makes it hot. I took the dogs to the doggie park to mingle, and they are done for a while, so it's off to the garden to clean out the rest of the strawberry beds and start on the sunflower planter. Meeting DH at the clubhouse for dinner when the get finished. It really could not be a more perfect day.

I speak for most grandmothers that it is THE BEST. Way better than being a parent for the obvious reasons. However, no one told me I'd love them as much as my own sons...and seeing how the DNA for generations works is also awesome. They bring total joy and fun and keep you young.

Mine love me but may love their grandfather more. Which is ok as I am now used to it and think it is sweet, as he is. We waited over a decade, as they married right out of college after meeting in HS. The other guy finally married a year ago, so we wait on him now, and I hope not long.

Glad you are ok, as I read about your pain last night. I'm a retired nurse and the worst patient on earth.
