DEI in a fire (or as history shows, a crematorium)

Report: Thanks To DEI, Most Medical Schools Now Teach Doctors To Damage Patients

Speech First has uncovered records from more than 50 public medical schools across 46 states, revealing that these institutions are training left-wing advocates who prioritize race in treatment, promote gender identities contrary to biology, and downplay obesity’s health risks. As its report shows, under the guise of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), medical schools enforce conformity to leftist ideologies, such as labeling all white men as racists or disconnecting gender from biological sex. It also shows that free speech is on life support, with dissenters of these ideas and practices facing far-reaching consequences.

Speech First reviewed hundreds of documented reports, including the case of Dr. Norman Wang, who lost his teaching duties for criticizing affirmative action — which the left uses to admit less qualified minorities to meet racial quotas. Speech First’s report also detailed the case of Dr. Allan Josephson, who was fired for questioning pediatric transgender procedures — which the left champions as necessary for affirming so-called “gender identities.”

We've seen this movie before my friends. Between 1933 and 1945 in Germany, it was the doctors and medical professionals that were on the cutting edge of first the T-4 Euthanasia program that did away with thousands of "useless mouths to feed," primarily the mentally and physically handicapped. Thousands were put to death and many en masse in the first gas chambers. Which later became the model for the genocide of Europe's Jews and other racial and political undesirables.

Considering that the American Left have dehumanized and vilified those of us who reject their worldview on every issue under the sun to the point where political violence aimed at us is justified as necessary and noble in order to preserve "our precious democracy." Trump and all of us who support him and his policies are equated with Nazis and an existential threat not only to them but even to the planet itself.

And speaking of Euthanasia:

The New York State Senate is quietly considering a bill to allow euthanasia, which may be brought to a vote as early as this week. The bill would allow patients with a terminal illness or condition to request lethal medication if their doctors expect they have less than six months to live. (It is euphemistically called “medical aid in dying,” and the bill specifies that it is not to be considered euthanasia or suicide, but I will refer to it in those terms because that’s what it is.) . . When euthanasia is an available option, it becomes possible for hospitals to “eliminate” inconvenient and expensive patients—without going to such lengths. There are all sorts of ways to make your patients really unhappy, so many ways to make euthanasia look attractive. Do we really want to put euthanasia on the table for hospitals and insurance companies, for nursing homes and doctors? To give them even strong incentives to make their patients miserable?

And it's a very short walk indeed to euthanizing those who are politically dangerous to society as determined of course by another corrupted profession: the legal system and judges. And again, in Germany from '33-'45 the judges upheld laws that wiped out millions of "enemies of the state."

And here we have the left bastardizing the concept of due process to protect actual foreign violent criminals and terrorist sympathizers and actual terrorist/cohorts.

We also have states where parents who oppose their children having sex changes will lose their parental rights and have the children taken away from them.

Next stop, Birkenau, my friends.

However, the medical profession en masse seems to view MAID as a viable choice for non-medical issues, such as homelessness, depression, non-treatable/non-specific pain, among other horrors we hear of.

It's a good way to illustrate his point. Froot Loops in Canada (and probably the rest of the world) are dyed with natural dyes from vegetables.

American Froot Loops are much more colorful, but they're dyed with lab created food dyes of dubious food safety.

The only difference is the vibrancy of the color of the cereal. So like... why take the risks here? Just dye the Froot Loops with beet extract instead of chemical dyes.

Even more to the point -- they're fighting to keep children in slavery all over the third world to make the products they buy.

"Slaves in Vietnam need to know their place, shut up, and make my Nikes!" "how about we make Nikes in US, where people are paid well?" "Ha! You're living in the 1950's. We have slaves in Asia to do that kind of work that no American wants to do!"

The argument is that there are many people who know they are dying, and have no quality of life. The way that is normally dealt with is to "manage their pain" by giving them increasing amounts of opiates until they stop breathing. We call that hospice care.

But what do you do with people who have no will to live, probably won't make it another 6 months, and will cost the system millions of dollars in those 6 months? Especially if they just want to die quickly instead of a slow painful death.

Personally, I have moral problems with this whole thing (including how our current hospice care system operates), but it's not a crazy discussion to have.

I also worry about the slippery slope, like we've seen in Canada. "oh you're young and healthy but depressed? Have you considered suicide?" is where that headed verrry quickly.

68 The sciences and math have long been a target for the radical left. These are areas that stubbornly resisted relativism and emotionally based reactions. These are areas which are entirely merit driven: it works or it does not, and if it does not, not amount of identity or perceived oppression changes anything.

But we all knew it was coming.

Human Resources was always the key.

The moment we went from having a room with a simple PERSONNEL plaque on it to entire departments and likely college degrees related to it, that was the moment they'd figured it out.

Take HR, then place who you want where you want. HR vs consumers is parallel to what we're watching in our own government vs voters.

70 This whole movement with RFKjr isn't impressing me. In fact, it's scaring me a bit. I don't want someone in DC mandating what will available to me for consumption. I want that freedom to choose what I eat. If he wants to encourage companies to process their foods a different way, that's fine. But if companies don't wish to participate, then let them have that freedom.

Again, I'm afraid this is just another abridgment in of American freedom.

Unfortunately, that ship sailed a lonnng time ago. Government policy influences every aspect of what we eat, from the dept of agg subsidies to FDA approving additives, to school lunch requirements, to Michelle Obama strong arming companies to reduce salt (in favor of adding high fructose corn syrup, of course. Which only exists due to govt policy), etc. etc. etc.

76 You can have a "do not resuscitate" clause put in a medical directive... part of one's will, end of life stuff. Typically there's nomenclature about the circumstances when "extraordinary" medical procedures are, or aren't permitted. You can file with whatever hospital or medical center you end up in if there's no last of kin or executor of your will/estate.

This sort of takes the whole issue of euthanasia off the table... for you. Your spouse, if still alive, may have to make the hard decision to withhold care if your directive is so written.

If it saves one life! No, wait - it’s their right to kill themselves, but we also must completely reorder society so they don’t. Maybe.

144 Death with Dignity -
Death with dignity is an end-of-life option that allows certain people with terminal illness to voluntarily and legally request and receive a prescription medication from their physician to hasten their death in a peaceful, humane, and dignified manner. It is based on a growing movement in the United States that believes terminally ill individuals should have the right to decide when, where, and how their death occurs.

Does the definition of terminal illness vary?

Yeah but the markets are dictated by the government. High fructose corn syrup is in all of our food because we have insanely high sugar tariffs (due to the sugar lobby in Florida), and insanely cheap corn that we need to get rid of (due to agg subsidies).

The free market has not existed in our food supply since the FDR days. And it will never exist again. And frankly, after the Great Depression, Dust Bowl, Holodomor and massive famines in Europe in that era, I can see why our government said "ehhh... we can't leave this up to the free market" because if they had, we would have exported all of our crop production to some third world shithole where everyone hates us and now they have us by the balls, just like we did with the rest of our domestic industries.

159 Dirty little secret about Euthanasia. Those governments that allow it, also, have a separate effort pushed by liberals that is presumably unrelated. However, it, most definitely is related.

I'm talking about attempts by government to switch the organ donation process around 180 degrees to make it an "Opt Out" process instead of the normal and common "Opt In" process. IOW, they require you to remove yourself from organ donation after automatically signing you up.

In NY (which is the state above listed looking to instill Euthanasia) there have been a number of attempts at legislating the "Opt Out" process. They've been trying this since early in this century. The most recent in 2022. Don't kid yourselves. There is A LOT of money in organ donation for a number of different parties.

It ain't 1900 where most people walk out back to kill something to eat. We literally have no idea what companies are putting in our food, wittingly or unwittingly.

From e. coli to aspartame to food dyes in the food industry.

To contaminated drugs, to Vioxx to OxyContin to COVID vaccines in the pharmaceutical industry.

The list could go on and on of the stuff put on shelves that have injured or killed people.

I want to know if these chemicals we're all putting in our bodies are safe. We've been lied to a lot of times by industry and government on what is, and isn't, good for our health.

NYT: Trump Says He Could Free Abrego Garcia From El Salvador, but Won't. Trump, whose administration has insisted it could not bring Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia back from El Salvador to the United States...

“You could get him back, there’s a phone on this desk,” said Terry Moran, an ABC News correspondent, noting a Supreme Court order to “facilitate” the release of Mr. Abrego Garcia.

“I could,” Mr. Trump replied. “And if he were the gentleman that you say he is, I would do that,” Mr. Trump said. “But he is not.”

Government lawyers have been making claims in court that the US is unable to get him back. Lawyers knowingly filing false claims in court are risking discipline up to and including a loss of their license.

We will see what the attack on the judiciary in Wisconsin brings. If the judges don't realize the moment they're in and get tough there will be more staged dramas, arrests of judges, refusal to comply with court orders etc.

SC has given Trump immunity from any contempt of court charges. Our only option is to win the midterms and investigate, impeach and remove him!

212 I’m of two minds on this. My father passed away last year at the age of 86. He was saying for a few years before he passed that he was ready to go.

He fell down and broke his hip at 82, and got a replacement. He recovered but his mobility went way down for the last few years. He also started having UTI more often (going to the hospital a few times). He started falling down more often until the only option was to put him in a nursing home.

You could tell he was going down hill and his last 6 months he was bedridden. The nursing home food was about like school lunch food. He really was just waiting for death.

I have no doubt that if he had the option he would’ve taken the “assisted suicide” route and I would’ve been OK with it.

Then, Rowling didn't take the most recent Leftward step into lunacy, and it's like a great betrayal. Normally, the shaming and bullying is sufficient, but to have an icon resist....on PRINCIPLE...and have the money and clout to ignore you...and then STILL have her franchise grow and be successful...is infuriating to them.

Thankfully my job allowed me to stay with him almost everyday for the last six months in the nursing home.

I felt so bad for the people in there that had no one visiting them and basically bedridden. People younger (50s and 60s) that you know will be there for 20 years. Most probably on SS disability and Medicaid.

I can see how the assisted suicide could be abused, a lot of these people aren’t the brightest and there wasn’t much to live for.

Like food puritans, for example. Here's a thought. You don't like the dyes in Fruit Loops ? Don't buy the damn things.

This is like the health insurance arguments all over again.

Dude, there is no free market here. The imprimatur of the government is on everything you eat.

We can change those standards to better suit reality.

Yes, in a perfect world, none of this regulatory structure would exist. But it does. That's the world we live in.

So we can say "fuck it, I'll eat whatever the government tells me to" and call it the free market or we can say "if the government is going to tell me what to eat, I want some input in to that" or we can say "on principle, I refuse to be involved in this conversation because I don't think the system as exists should exist" which is not helpful.

Sorry, but Science is now so corrupt that I don't buy blanket pronouncements about things being "known to cause cancer" anymore. Too much.of the research that leads to these conclusions is based on grossly exaggerated dosages, poor statistics, and political agendas.

357 They subconsciously think of themselves as a prize to be won. The fighting is a measure of their sexual market value. The horde invades to conquer their cootches, and they are repelled, or not. To the Victors goes the snootches. Woe is me, I am nothing but the sexual plaything of a swarthy animal who makes me do unspeakable things, like laundry.

Unfortunately, DNA evidence is pretty grim. Most male DNA is lost over the centuries but female DNA persists. The Bell Beaker culture studies using DNA are pretty horrible in that respect.

358 ..like potentially including cheap ingredients that could knowingly cause cancer down the line.

-

"Listen, we've figured out the cancer part, but - and hear me out on this one - what if we work on introducing common "food" items that will affect the genetic development of children born to women who wait until they're past 30 to start having babies? We wouldn't have to wait for end-of-life ages then, and could get those kids into the system right from the start and for their entire 80 years. And no one would want to discuss it or investigate it because it involves the women in the workforce. Get on that, Jim. We might have an opportunity here."

- Nestle, Pepsico, etc.

It's possible your dear mother chose to go after you left and give you your last memory of her alive. I don't know how to put that properly in words, but, leaving loved ones might be the hardest thing a dying person has to do. No matter if they believe their everlasting life awaits.

361 Reminds me of Joan Rivers. One day she scoffs to the idea that we could have a gay POTUS for the first time, saying Obama was gay, big Mike is trans, and "everybody knows it". A few weeks later she's dead, following a routine - and not life-threatening - procedure.

364 NYS is lagging behind other progressive states.
"in the United States, physician-assisted suicide, also known as medical aid in dying or death with dignity, is legal in eleven states and the District of Columbia. These jurisdictions are California, Colorado, the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Montana, Maine, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Vermont, and Washington. It's important to note that active euthanasia, where a physician directly ends a patient's life, is illegal in all 50 states."

I'm not sure how much farther the Canuck's MAID law goes. I think the legally assisted suicide laws limit docs to prescribing a lethal pill or shot for the patient to take on their own.

369 339 My opinion of Mel Brooks dropped precipitously when I read his autobiography. Not only does he come across as incredibly egotistical, despite trying self-deprecating humor, but he is witheringly arrogant and condescending toward the public, especially his fans.

We're all stupid and worthless, you see. We aren't smart enough to get real humor and he had to dumb it down. HIs genius work with Carl Reiner changed humor forever in Your Show of Shows lifting it up to be better and smarter but most Americans were too stupid and useless to get it.

Old men have a tendency to lose their filters as they age and Mel is letting you see the real person here. Some open up in their autobiographies as almost penance for a life they lived; others try to create their own triumphal arch. Mel strikes me as the second type.

374 Concerning the intelligence of the American public, by definition half of the population is of below average intelligence. By testing that goes back to the Victorian era in England, average intelligence has _dropped_. They were taking random people of the streets of London back in Queen Victoria’s time, and their _average_ intelligence was greater than our own. Why? Cell phone addiction, chemicals in the environment? I don’t know. One thought I have is that you _had_ to be smarter back in the day, the world was more dangerous. We have “nerfed” the world so much, at least in the USA, that you don’t need to be so smart to get by. Your thoughts?
