Saturday Night Jokes

An elderly woman decided to prepare her will and told her preacher she had two final requests. First, she wanted to be cremated, and second, she wanted her ashes scattered over Wal-Mart. "Wal-Mart?" the preacher exclaimed. "Why Wal-Mart?" "Then I'll be sure my daughters visit me twice a week."

A woman, after several failed relationships, decides to put a singles ad in the paper. She states in the ad that she's looking for an honest man who won't beat her, walk out on her and is good in bed. A few days later the doorbell rings and she opens the door to find a guy w with no arms or legs on the porch. "I'm here to answer your ad" he says. She looks at him skeptically and says "Well, you have no arms so you can't beat me and you have no legs, so you can't walk out on me. But are you any good in bed?" He says "Hey, I rang the doorbell didn't I?!"

Drink of the Night

Carib Rum Punch.JPG

Caribbean Rum Punch

Taste of the Islands. And when you wake up, you still cannot speak Spanish.

- Fill glass with ice
- 2 shots of dark rum (The Club recommends Punta Cana Club Esplendido)
- 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice (about two limes)
- 1 oz pineapple juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- Dash of bitters
- Pinch of nutmeg
- Garnish with grapefruit or lime wedge
- Feet up, and tilt the glass until happy

Too many drinks of the night!

Nope.

Posh China restaurant offers US$540 meals with elephant dung desserts for 'authentic' taste

In her post, the blogger detailed her experience, beginning with a dining ritual where guests pluck a leaf straight from a potted plant, dip it in sauce, and consume it raw, while a server elaborated on the concept of "ecological fusion cuisine."

As the meal unfolds, diners are treated to an array of unconventional dishes. One such offering requires guests to lick honey and pollen from ice cubes.

Another course showcased a bowl of "black goo," meticulously crafted to replicate the pungent scent of the parasitic Rafflesia flower, notorious for its foul odour, while the waiter explained that it evokes the scent of decaying flesh.

The meal reaches its peak with a striking dessert called "Flowers Inserted into Elephant Dung." This dish "creatively" features a base of elephant dung that mimics crispy crumbs, adorned with herbal perfume, fruit jam, pollen, and honey sorbet.

Nope. Even more nope. For the avoidance of doubt, Club ONT does not serve Elephant poop.

Club ONT brings you entertainment from around the world. This is cheese rolling in Sicily. The commentary is in Italian but the visuals speak for themselves.

Sicilian cheese throwing game thrills Italian town

A centuries old tradition of cheese-throwing has brought excitement to the town of Novara di Sicilia as its residents both young and old trooped out en masse to participate in the game.

The event known as the 'Maiorchino tournament' gets its name from the specific type of cheese produced in the area which is used in the games and typically takes place on carnival afternoons.

The game itself involves teams of two or three players who take turns rolling a hefty 10-12kg cheese wheel as far as possible along a designated path of about two kilometres using a 3-3.5 metre long rope.

The team who throws the cheese the furthest is declared the winner with the cheese itself as the grand prize.

*****

The Belgians do Easter differently. Don't worry - Club ONT will never make you hunt for beer.

A brewery in Belgium swapped painted eggs for frothy brews when it celebrated Easter with the "World's Biggest Beer Hunt."

The fifth annual Easter event at the Aywiers Gardens in Lasne, Belgium, saw over 1,000 registered hunters searching the grounds for 12,000 hidden bottles of Lutgarde beer.

Hidden among the beers was a special golden bottle, which earned its finder a prize of his weight in beer.

And...the marcher almost had her head explode a la Scanners. She started to give an answer 4 times...then gave up and walked away.

so here is my secret: I cut up about a tablespoon of Ivory bar soap, a tablespoon of Boraxo, and I heat it on the stove until it boils, then let the bar soap dissolve completely, and let the whole mess cool down and gel up.
Then I rub it through a sieve to make it re-liquefy, add some Bay Rum or a dash or three of the Citrus Musk, and put it in the pump bottle dispenser in the bathroom for the cheapest liquid pump hand soap you can get.

It is pretty good hand soap too, it is as thick as standard pump soap, it gets dirt and grease off your hands, and it isn't too harsh on your skin.

Really hard to make much of this, as this is a major disaster, regime may well not know what happened, so taking no chances.

Lots of reports of chemical precursors for rocket fuel (bought from Chy-nah) being unloaded at this port in last 3 months. The former newspaper NYT sez IRGC sources confirm rocket fuel-related chemicals probably the culprit. But again, lots of possibilities, as likely other candidate chemicals present at the port. In a country like Iran, everything from sabotage by Moon-based Joo Lasers to sheer incompetence to bad luck are equally likely.

258 And as of latest reports, fires continue at the port. At least one air tanker and some helicopters are involved, but one wonders if the firefighters as a whole have the equipment and training to tackle something like this.

Hopefully residents in the nearby city manage to flee (many are) or stay inside until the air quality returns to safe conditions. This kind of fire can be very dangerous for the health of those downwind.

272 Of course the timing of the boom-boom in Bandar Abbas, if attributed to you-know-who, could be seen as an interesting message to Tehran that the current talks with the US (almost surely doomed to fail in any case) or any actual agreement will not protect them. Though it's hard to imagine the message of independent and inexorable threat needs to be reinforced following the Mossad hit on a Hamas bigwig *in the IRGC guesthouse inside the IRGC compound* in Tehran - while the idiotic and hostile (to Israel) Biden regime was in power.

The autopsy is part of a study they're conducting on dilated cardiomyopathy in Borzoi, a thinning of the heart walls. Delilah's son Spark died from it and Dot, Delilah's sister, had a daughter die from it. I suspect Fitz had the same condition.

After all the car attacks in Germany and other parts of Europe, including parts of the US, there is a knee-jerk thought of SJS. This driver may have had issues, but those are issues we deal with in the West all the time. We don't need the SJS ingredient added to the mix. I hope we eventully figure that out. 325 Greetings All

Popping in kind of late - recovering from hiking seven or so miles and 1000' elevation gain to the Hollywood Sign this morning. Actual end of trail was Mt. Lee, the 'summit' with the antennas above and behind the sign.

Not a bad hike but rain started when we were about 3/4 of the way up and continued unabated and in quantities all the way back to the parking lot. Air temperature was low 50's the entire trek.

It is highly unusual to have any rain this late in the season - we don't usually get rain in the summer months, including late spring and early fall. Rain was forecast but very often this time of year it's either a false alarm or only a few drops materialize - enough to make the car dirty....

Relaxed the rest of the day and tried to warm up.

Sorry to hear about the pup Hadrian. Condolences.
