I guess her delusion came crashing down.

SAN FRANCISCO — A man and woman have been sentenced to four years in federal prison for running a drug delivery service that offered clients perks like time with cute puppies, court records show.

The alleged leader of the drug ring, Natalie Marie Gonzalez, is a Stanford alumna who ran the illicit business with all the care, attentiveness to detail and intellectual curiosity that the top university is known for. Prosecutors say she inquired potential middlemen drug dealers to their customer base, not wanting to contribute to drug addiction, held customers to a $300 minimum and hid drug transactions from scrutiny with use of cryptocurrency.

Prosecutors describe a drug business modeled after popular delivery services, like DoorDash or Instacart. After an online order, customers would be instructed to wait for a Subaru to come bring the drugs to a pre-determined location. Sometimes, they’d be given a description of the delivery driver’s “black-and-white puppy” and encouraged to take some time to pet the pup so that onlookers wouldn’t get suspicious.

Is it thinking outside the box or is someone over his head? Time will tell with Pete Hegseth at the Pentagon helm.

In early April, after Pete Hegseth returned from a trip to Panama, the last person to step off the plane before the defense secretary himself was a colonel wearing slacks and a pullover.

This was Ricky Buria, Hegseth’s junior military assistant and one of the only holdovers from the last secretary’s team.

APRIL 22--In the course of a child porn probe targeting his younger brother, an upstate New York man caught a legal ricochet shot when investigators discovered videos showing him engaged in sexual acts with animals, including a cow, court records show.

Mark Banks, 38, was arrested earlier this month for sexual misconduct for allegedly having “sexual intercourse with a dairy cow on the property of Winsor Acres,” the Broome County farm where he has worked for 22 years.

111 "In 1960, Campbell moved to Los Angeles to become a session musician. That October, he joined the Champs. By January 1961, Campbell had found a daytime job at publishing company American Music, writing songs and recording demos. Because of these demos Campbell soon was in demand as a session musician and became part of a group of studio musicians later known as the Wrecking Crew.

Campbell played on recordings by the Beach Boys, Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, Ricky Nelson, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, the Monkees, Nancy Sinatra, Merle Haggard, Jan and Dean, Bing Crosby, Phil Spector, Sammy Davis Jr., Doris Day, Bobby Vee, The Everly Brothers, Shelley Fabares, The Cascades, Paul Revere & the Raiders, Wayne Newton, The First Edition, The Kingston Trio, Roger Miller, Gene Clark, Lou Rawls, Claude King, Lorne Greene, Ronnie Dove, and Elvis Presley.

Glenn Campbell basically was the sound of the '60s, but no one ever knew it.

135 @zombie, a couple of years ago I went to a small show given by Jimmy Webb. He said that Glenn Campbell was a musical genius who could hear something once and play it. He wrote Wichita Lineman for Campbell at his request -- Campbell had covered By the Time I Get to Phoenix, which Webb had written earlier for someone else, and it was a huge hit, so he wanted another one. Quite an evening.

It was Jimmy Webb's second live appearance after the COVID break and he kept apologizing for being a little rusty in front of audience but the the thing was, no one cared. He could have just sat there on the piano bench and told stories and that would have been OK with the audience.

The Muppet Show was a lot like the Carson Tonight Show. When you were on it, you know you made it.

The Muppet Show was arguably one of the best American tv shows ever created. The guest star list was awesome. I remember June Carter on there, maybe with Johnny. So many others. Just a great show that always delivered laughs. Not bad for hand puppets.

We live in the most exceptional country on the planet, populated by an extraordinary people, who are governed, not ruled by a political system unique in history. A quick look at our past will reveal we have met and prevailed over issues even more serious than the present mess, with an unbroken record of success.

In fact, we have made the struggle of our predecessors a part of our heritage, that we may ensure our Republic endures. I have a deep and abiding faith we will resolve the current issue as we have so many others.

So because we are Americans, that head must be held HIGH and PROUD as befits us. The option of failure is not open to us.

>>Fortunately for us, they use significantly more than that every day.

Might be why Trump is throttling Iran, one of the major sources of oil for China, after Biden opened it to them for the last 4 years.

That and stopping the idiotic war in Ukraine that drove Russia and their oil toward China.

It turns out, Trump actually isn't an idiot.

The Superflag is a massive flag measuring 255 x505 ft. It weighs more than 3,000 lbs and requires the help of more than 600 volunteers to transport! Each star is 17 feet high, and the stripes are 20 feet wide. The flag is so huge that it can cover a football field one and a half times.

377 Epstein was allowed to operate in the open in New York City for years. He ran his blackmail operation from a mansion overlooking Central Park where he entertained some of the wealthiest and most connected US and foreign politicians and business leaders and also hosted them on his private pedo island. When he was finally indicted in Florida on sex charges the only person who came forward to offer evidence against him was Donald Trump.

Epstein was given a slap on the wrist in that case because the head of the FBI at time, Robert Mueller, told the US Attorney trying the case to back off and make a deal. And when Trump took office and finally had him indicted on federal charges Epstein was murdered in prison. Unexpectedly.

Epstein was an asset of the CIA. Any other relationship he had with other intel communities, and there were likely several given 5 Eyes and other relationships, that were partners of the CIA were incidental. We've been living in a globalist world for years. That's how we got here. But there is only one head of any family at it is the CIA.

416 Weird thing happened on yesterday's morning Tech Thread. I couldn't post. Tried rebooting laptop, change VPN, etc but no dice. Every post I tried to make just vanished on the Tech Thread. I haven't had any issues like that so far today. It was odd.

Sorry, that's all I got.

418 >>My guess is that many people have huge amounts of money in jeopardy under Trump and Hegseth

That and far more. What's at stake right now is fate of the world order.

They aren't losing their mud and attacking car dealerships because they lost an election.

Seems like it, thanks for asking. Of course having being 29 for a while 'recovered to what' is telling.

Understood. The infirmities of age can be tedious.

421 I liked the movie 'Stargate'. Good plot, clever finish and well acted. I like Kurt Russell.

422 Real maraschino cherries, from marasca trees, are dark red. And tiny. And used for good cocktails.

The neon red and green ones that go in fruitcake and college-bar cocktails aren't maraschino cherries. They're bings or some other sweet cherry, and they are bleached white and re-colored in their day-glo shades.

You had probably dropped into the parallel universe. That can happen. Cats know about it. A disturbance in the parallel cat universe causes stationery cats to leap in the air randomly and charge off. Could have happened to you.

I'd check to see if there is any stray voltage still built up on the cat, just in case.

426 Tonmyknockers was when I discovered I could read the beginning and end of Stephen King novels and just tear out the poorly written, crap, middle sections. Tonmyknockers was a cool idea that should have been written by someone else.

428 I don't have a cat either, but a friend and I came up with that theory in college, probably after ingesting some kind of mind altering substance. Made sense at the time.

We also determined that if you sleep under an electric blanket, you can give off stray voltage during the following day, which accounts for the odd glitches in your software operation.

Or some damned thing.

Good lord this Nextdoor ad right in my neighborhood.

Espressione coffee maker/espresso maker/frother

Free

I have only used the coffee maker portion once. The espresso maker made fantastic beverages. It started acting up, not pushing all the water through the grounds. I don't know how to investigate the issue myself. I didn't bring it to be looked at. Costs $350 new.
