My concern is how he intends to pull it off. Despite Marco Rubio's presence, Foggy Bottom and the intelligence and military bureaucracies are still infested with Deep State holdovers and saboteurs who are steeped in anti-American, anti-Israel and anti-western animus yet are charged with developing the tactics and strategies to implement the very policies that they themselves have been working against their entire professional careers. Obviously, this can be applied to every agency, department and bureau in DC. Moving on . . . yesterday or the day before there was a report that millions of dollars (and it has got to be a hell of a lot more than that figure) in social security and other benefits were to be reinstated to illegal aliens. While at the same time Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants was wheeled out to shriek out the tired old bromide about Republicans destroying Social Security. All of this makes my blood boil, over and above its inherent outrageousness, but because it hits too close to home. Someone very close to me has found it impossible to sign up for let alone collect social security as well as sign up for medicare (because of a suspected identity theft that occurred a number of years ago). And yet foreigners here illegally can get all sorts of assistance to get our hard-earned money while bureaucrats and apparatchiks send my dear one on a paper chase for years hoping we die before they are forced to intercede.

As noted above, Marco Rubio moved yesterday to remove the final remains of what was the Global Engagement Center. Because the military is strange, I had advanced training at an Army base despite being Air Force. The base was also a basic training base for the Army at the time (Ft. Lost in the Woods).
Saw (heard in one case) at least two Army recruits break. One, I overheard calling his recruiter at the base hospital pay phones. The second, I was alone on a bench enjoying being away from uniforms for awhile, and the MPs came up and asked me if I saw a soldier who went AWOL at the rifle range and still had his AR-15 with him. They were searching the whole base for the dude.

The whole autism spectrum thing is a pretty shitty way of describing the complex. There is no comparison with someone that has social anxiety and others, like my son, who hit themselves, repeat words and phrases for minutes or even hours for no apparent purpose and can't hold a job because he doesn't have the attention span. And my son is only considered moderately autistic.

I think Navy boot camp was probably pretty tame compared with Marine boot camp or Army basic training. Squids don't go into direct combat. We only went to a firing range once in boot camp. Yours truly was clearly the worst shot, and got mocked for it. I was there for a joint military training program. So I observed that the Army had not changed in its approach to people skills. (Father was a colonel in the Army-Ordnance and we saw a lot of bases).
Bases were shittier too than Air Force facilities back then and housing on base was absolutely awful compared with other branches. Dunno about now.

We were being trained for combat in Vietnam. Plain and simple. Training was very tough, 24/7, and very psychological. Today is a different story. Back then, the "on your ass" sergeant WAS on your ass the minute you stepped off the bus. No let up at all. And it was constant. At the end, after the graduation exercise, he was a different guy. My DI was an Airborne Ranger. Crazy, but he had a mission, and by the end of the three months, most of us understood. Luckily, I didn't wind up 11B10. Was assigned to the Signal Corp. 298 I can't believe y'all mentioned support for a VAT on your latest podcast sea 9 ep 15. A VAT is an evil hidden tax, even more hidden than the current withholding on payroll. The Fair Tax is a national sales tax with multiple benefits:
1 you SEE how much the government takes from you every time you buy
2 it is a consumption tax, buy more pay more
3 encourages saving, don't buy don't pay
4 the prebate gives money to those under the poverty level to reimburse form the tax on basic needs
5 illegal aliens will pay the tax when they buy even if they were paid in cash
6 illegal aliens won't get a prebate so they actually pay more
