No. Neil Piert walked the fine line of being "active" while not *obliterating* the underlying song. The correct answer is "Tool".

The worst band the devil could ever create would include Tool's drummer and the bass player from Primus. It wouldn't matter who the rest of this terrible band would be because nobody could hear anything they did anyway since the drum and bass would over-fill ever inch of the sonic sound space.

Too much to do to get bored. I did all that crap above while I was working, but it took evenings and weekends, and now it doesn't. Plus DH doesn't need to do any of that anymore, which means I have a much happier husband, and nobody is wrecking the laundry. Win win.

Now I have time to farm, knit, read that huge pile of books over there, walk the dogs every day, lunch with friends, and plan parties. After 50 years, I guess I have earned it.

I wasn't sure how this was going to go because I tire out very easily and don't travel particularly well. But I have been able to rest a lot on the train and at family member's houses, who have been very kind and patient with me.

But right now I am experiencing what happens a lot with Amtrack: the station does not open in Cincinnati until midnight eastern, so I am sitting in a chair in the lobby area without an outlet. The laptop has 71% power, I don't think it will make 4 hours so I might end up on the phone.

This happens a lot on Amtrack though, lots of sitting around waiting at odd hours; the train to Chicago leaves at 1:45AM for instance.

159 Yeah I had a particular adventure in the little town of Hastings, Nebraska, near a cousin's place. The train arrived at 3:40 in the morning, and let me off at a closed station. Foolishly, I had anticipated getting a Lyft to the hotel across town about 2 miles away: not far, but way further than I cared to walk with luggage.

Yes, well. Hastings is a flyspeck. Even the taxis are shut down at night. I saw no cars at all on the roads until around 7:30 in the morning. So I figured fine, I'll just camp out on the lawn outside the tiny closed station, its about 65 degrees out.

Then the wind started. Then the rain. The temperature dropped about 25 degrees in an hour and I was huddled up against the building when my cousin finally woke up and saw my text. That wasn't so much of an adventure at my age as pretty miserable.

The original scarf was about 12 feet long. It seemed to shrink due to washings, damage etc and being replaced. Then it really grew in size probably at Tom's insistence.

I'm not at all surprised. Paquette was a seriously arrogant headcase. I was a grad student there in the physical division while he was in his prime and recollect one day Weldon Mathews' group was moving a dangerously heavy spectrometer and had part of one stairwell in McPherson Hall roped off.

Paquette was inconvenienced by that and detached the safety barrier and went right on through.

Before anyone asks: Mudlarkers are people who search the muddy banks of rivers, especially the River Thames in London, for historical artifacts and treasures. The term originally referred to poor individuals in the 18th and 19th centuries who scavenged the river mud.

Related to type, she was finding hundreds and even thousands of letters (type) in one particular area near Tower Bridge and was wondering why. In comments to the video, a guy answered that around 1970 guys from a printing shop/school would dump the letters into their pockets after using them in the morning. They would have to put them back in their places (tedious). It was quicker to pocket them and toss them in the river at lunch. time.

They died because of the FDA required treatments like withholding antibiotics at the beginning of the public push to cause panic and mail in voting.

I doubt even 25K people actually died FROM covid. Even old folks. They were killed via the required federal government treatment protocols. And given cash to make sure they did it.

But the producer and Baker liked the finished product so much they just went with it.

331 Arshin is the Russian cubit and was defined by Peter the Great as exactly 28 English inches. Why 28 inches? Because he was the Czar, that’s why!
So 134 cm at exactly 2.54 cm to the inch and 28 inches to to the arshin gives 1.884 arshin to more places than in the original measurement. I’ve.just finished an alternate history novel The Romanov Rescue by Tom Kratman and two others where a rescue attempt is made to save the Romanovs from the Bolsheviks using a loaned German airship with a German crew, very good, recommended. Anyway the assault team are old regime Russians and give every distance in arshin.
