Prediction: This will work out just like Bluesky, only with even more deranged screeching.

Most merciful God,

Grant us to endure the sufferings of the present time, to overcome all that seeks to overwhelm us, confident of the glory that shall yet be revealed;
Through Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Amen.

26 Strange dream: I was working at a TV station (which I never have done) and was apparently a lame duck, as I was working with my replacement. She had moved the coffee machine, for one thing, and had a habit of distributing flyers to everybody to tout her "accomplishments."

Then the setting morphed to the mean streets outside. Somehow I was caught up in a shooting war between cops and some gang. I sneaked away, found myself going through a Sears (!) at a mall, and out to my car . . . which was a tiny, tan Honda sedan that I could barely see out of. And it was raining.

Then I woke up and got up. Whatta start to a Woden's Day.

33 Black Bear Road (wikipedia)

Black Bear Road or Black Bear Pass, and officially Forest Service Road 648, is a dirt road that starts from the 11,018-foot (3,358 m) summit of Red Mountain Pass on U.S. Highway 550 (between Ouray and Silverton) to Telluride, Colorado. The road crests at Black Bear Pass, elevation 12,840 feet (3,910 m), and descends over a set of switchbacks as it navigates the heights above Telluride. The road passes Bridal Veil Falls, the highest waterfall in Colorado. In 1975, the road was the subject of a spoken-word song and album of the same title by country musician C. W. McCall.

37 Good morning, good people. Brisk this AM but you can feel the latent warmth regardless. In my camping stuff is an old drip coffee maker that brews the smoothest coffee you ever tasted. No markings as to maker, just a simple aluminum affair that does 6 cups.

Yesterday I tested my thermos bottles--the "jingle" check and 1 of 6 passed. If there is anyone tougher on thermos bottles I'd like to meet them. This may be the year we go to some really good ones, even the cheapos are getting more than I want to invest.

38 CW McCall did ok in life. Married to the same woman for 70 years. Had kids, grandkids, and a couple of g-grandkids. Was mayor of the Colorado town he retired in. Died at age 93 from cancer.

All in all, he sounded like a decent guy. He did alright.

53 I had such a nice experience at the store yesterday. I was buying some flowers for our church ( People give money for flowers for Easter in memory or in honor of loved ones or to the glory of God.) The man who was the cashier - an older black man - commented on the lovely flowers and I said "God made flowers." I don't always witness like that, but I was just happy about the look and smell of the hyacinths) . It turned out that the man is a Christian and a musician and plays in his church praise band. Anyway, it was a really nice conversation about our shared faith and I appreciated him as well as the talk.

I think there might have been a small bit of acrimony over the guy essentially hijacking another person's blog for his own shadow blog of curated links. Sure, many appreciated it, and i never cared one way or the other, but that might also be a factor. At some point that i can't quite define, you're no longer "just" a commenter, you're an unofficial (and possibly uninvited) sub-blogger. A couple links here and there is a conversation. A whole bunch as a regular feature could be considered over the line. I don't know and don't care either way, just throwing out a possible explanation.

Even hardware review channels with 16 million followers can't get hardware to review.

Nvidia really has practically given up on GeForce by the looks of the launch of the 5000 series.

It’s looking like they’ll be doing a “Super” refresh next year, to fix all the problems with the cards, just like they did with the 4000 series.
Maybe by then Jensen and crew will get it together to supply the market that made them what they are today.

I’m convinced the best thing Nvidia could do for gamers now would be to spinoff GeForce into a subsidiary and enable them to get their own designs and chips fabricated without having to share/compete with the moneymaker AI chips.

But I’m also convinced that’s the last thing Jensen would ever do.

107 The Propaganda Press is yapping away about the Maryland gang dude "deported in error" to El Salvador. This is a repeated, knowing falsehood. Steven Miller explained the facts to them, using words of few syllables and offering crayons to all of them beforehand, but they keep saying the lies. The guy was deported because he was ordered deported by an immigration judge, who, incidentally, found him not the "father of the year" (as Karoline Leavitt mockingly described him), but an MS13 gang member.

The press really is the enemy of the people, when they are supposed to be the protector of our liberties. I blame the lefties at Columbia School of Journalism. Do they get federal grants we can cut?

I can only assume that it will carry its developers prejudices to their logical conclusions. If a user misgenders a faggy freak, or says Make America Great Great Again, or one of a million other revanchist transgressions, then NetSky's Trust & Safety Subroutine will place CP on his hard drive and report it to the FBI.

Eventually, it will optimize operations for streamlined safety, and simply deploy EATR-powered Boston Dynamics Reaverbots to rend the H8Rs limb from limb and use their flesh for fuel as they relentlessly hunt their inherently unreliable family and friends for sport.
