It resembled a dentist's chair, but it also had various sensors, a camera to monitor the pupils, and a black box situated in front of the subject to display pictures. Subjects were told that the machine was used for measuring stress, yet its purpose was something else entirely; it was intended to identify whether the subject was gay.Poisoned alcohol during prohibition. Anti-Saloon League? Blasphemy. By Christmas 1926, it was impossible to ignore the crisis. In New York alone, dozens of people died from drinking during holiday festivities. On the cusp of that shocking death toll, the federal government announced a requirement to add twice as much methanol, which was deadly and impossible to filter out. But officials also ordered the addition of benzine and oxidized kerosene, in order to increase the alcohol's foul smell. This would become known as "Formula 5," and it was rumored that three drinks containing the mix would result in blindness or death. Despite the increased danger, proponents believed that its noxious aroma would warn people away. The greatest cheerleader of poisoned liquor was Wayne B. Wheeler, the general counsel of the Anti-Saloon League, who frequently stated that people poisoned by alcohol were committing suicide. A doctor in the audience, Dr. Charles Leale, immediately went upstairs to the box. The bullet had entered through Lincoln's left ear and lodged behind his right eye. He was paralyzed and barely breathing. He was carried across Tenth Street, to a boarding-house opposite the theater, but the doctors' best efforts failed. Nine hours later, at 7:22 a.m. on April 15th, Lincoln died. The titanic sank on this date in 1912. The Notre Dame Cathedral fire in 2019. Link to pictures of the fire. The Cathedral reopened on December 7, 2024. Fishing Hunting Hunting package came with a Winchester Model 94 in .30-30, a scope, gun rack, Winchester hat, and safety glasses. There was a lot of sketchy stuff about the Lincoln assassination. Booth had a lot of help. The soldier assigned to protect the president left his post to get drunk at the bar, among other things.
There is some speculation whoever Corbett shot in the barn, it wasn’t Booth. They treated the whole thing strangely. The Titanic sank, 1912. Notre Dame Cathedral burned, 2019. My heavens! Do you realize the odds of those three things all happening on this date are approximately 1 in 365.25? Any day of the year something, many things, happened, many times disastrous things so as to be notable enough to write down in history. So, really, what are the odds? She got a HAMP loan in 2011, claiming "hardship". TO refinance her apartment building ( she is slum lord ???) At the time she was making over 126K. Now, you might say in NY city 126K is hardship, but in 2011 money it's like 180K in today money. Which is not hardship. There is more funny bidness. She and her father took out a RE loan in 1983 as "husband and wife". To purchase a home for young Leticia to live.

There are always disastrous things happening on any given day of the year if you just look back in history. History hardly ever celebrates joyous events but readily entertains disasters and records their day of happening. So, these particular events happened on this day of the year in different years, even different centuries. Any day of the year will be filled with catastrophes if you look back in history far enough. Christmas celebrates Christ’s birth, Easter commemorates His substitutional death on the cross where he took on all our sins, all my sins, and went through Hell and died so we could just believe on him and go heaven. Hitler was at best a pagan and so history has it a suicide. He did not take Christ’s offer.

At the Hatteras weather station: Working late into the night of Sunday, April 14, 1912, station operators Richard Dailey and Horace Gaskins received an urgent telegram message at 11:25 p.m. This time, 11:25 p.m. Hatteras time, is an extremely important clue to this mystery. The message contained the words “CQD: Have Struck Iceberg.” It was from the RMS Titanic. Dailey and Gaskins immediately forwarded the message to their headquarters, the New York Station. It was received by 21-year-old David Sarnoff, (the future president of the Radio Corporation of America.) Like everyone else at the time, Sarnoff “knew” that the Titanic was unsinkable, so he severely chastised the senders, thinking it was a hoax. In his response, he said that the senders were troublemakers who were just “clogging up the lines,” and that they were to refrain from any further communications. ----- I have seen the actual message. As an aside, my vanity call sign was previously held by a guy at the Sarnoff Research Center. Posted by: Mike Hammer, etc., etc. at April 16, 2025 12:13 AM (XeU6L) 341

If you said yes you had something like dozen pages to fill out asking about compliance with all sorts of regulations. I said no, I am not a farmer. Our farm manager is worth his weight in gold! (and he knows it and charges accordingly).

Favorite ice cream is double chocolate fudge mint chocolate chip. When I did my stint as a soda jerk/ice cream maker at Swenson's in the late 80's I was allowed to make it once and I think I ate the whole 5 gallons myself over the summer.

Some “climate scientist” in formerly Great Britain is claiming the Bezos rocket hurts the environment because it emits water vapor (or water “vapour”and that’s a greenhouse gas. Damn right it is. It’s the dominant greenhouse gas. But you’re going to get your knickers in a twist because of water vapor on a planet with 2/3 of the surface covered in watery ocean?! Please pull the other one, it’s got bells on it! These hoaxters depend on Norm and Norma Public having no scientific knowledge at all, so they can get them to worry that the sky is falling.

I was wondering is there's any real reason Bezo's New Shepard looks so phallic, so dick-like, or better dildo like. I mean, any rocket is going to have the general shape, but this thing seems like it was on purpose. The only answer I can find is, well, they wanted to make the capsule roomy, but didn't need the rocket stage itself to be that wide, and this was the result. They don't have any tanks, their last aircraft carrier had to be refit right after its launch because something was wrong sized. I don't think they are even buying cargo space for science experiments.

Really, the fact that water vapor is the dominant greenhouse gas should tip you off how preposterous the whole global warming hypothesis is. CO2 is only 0.04% of the atmosphere. It is negligible as a driver of the poorly termed “greenhouse effect” (atmospheric warming does not work like a greenhouse - which mostly works by stopping convection). The dominant greenhouse gas is water vapor just because there is so much of it, and we can’t do anything about it, and we shouldn’t even if we could. It is vital for life on this planet! So is CO2! In fact we could use more CO2, plant life is almost starved for it. We can’t have a runaway greenhouse effect on Earth, unlike Venus, we’re too far from the Sun. The Earth’s mean orbital radius would have to be about 3/4 of what it is for there ever to have been a chance of that happening. Unfortunately for our sister planet Venus, it was close enough, and lost it’s shallow oceans early in its development. They literally boiled away. That’s what a real runaway greenhouse effect is like: you have to boil the oceans. It can’t happen here: we’re too far from the Sun - just right actually.

Posted by: SFGoth at April 16, 2025 02:18 AM (KAi1n) Right now, the only person I DON'T have questions about is Tom Homan. Maybe I'm impatient, I probably am, but I see no even minor arrest for anything. Sure, some a little higher up the bureaucratic totem pole have been escorted off premises, but nothing from all DOGE found, nothing from the FBI on the Epstein files, that crappy intel phone call 'mistake', Noem cos-playing cop, that kind of stuff. IMAO, Stacey Abrams should be under arrest for fleecing the US Government of $2B. Just as a starting point. Schiffty Schiff, the whole J6 Subcommittee. Congressional insider trading. Any arrest, please. Humor me. Posted by: RickZ at April 16, 2025 02:36 AM (gKDq2) 434
A few months back some water off the coast of Florida, by a fluke of the weather and ocean currents got up to 100 degrees. That’s Fahrenheit, of course, so like a warm bathtub. This was reported in Europe and taken as 100 degrees Celsius or 212 degrees Fahrenheit, the boiling point of water and posited as proof that our oceans have begun to boil. Unless you are over an underwater volcanic vent, the waters on this planet do not boil. It’s real Henny Penny stuff.

Posted by: NemoMeImpuneLacessit at April 16, 2025 02:29 AM (ZVgZ4) There's a clip of this Congress guy who is interrogating some gerbil worming eggspurts at some committee hearing. Of course, they were warning about a dangerous CO2 increase that will kill us all. He asks, I think four of them, what the %age of CO2 is in the atmosphere. They all hemmed an hawed but the answers were like 5, 7, and I think a 3 and a duplicate (a coward ['I agree with him']). Anyway, that's how far off the eggspurts were when it came to that dangerous greenhouse gas, CO2, that is currently in our atmosphere. Mr. Congressman correctly stated CO2 has gone up .01%, which is not a bad thing, as you state (and Mr. Congressman also noted). Posted by: RickZ at April 16, 2025 02:51 AM (gKDq2) 438

I have seen video of pillow lava erupting on the sea floor, and there is a thin blanket of steam on the pillows, a small fraction of an inch in thickness. The bulk of the water obstinately refuses to boil. Fascinating to watch. Posted by: Alberta Oil Peon at April 16, 2025 02:58 AM (8zz6B) 441
