CNN: Democrats Have Completely Lost Their Advantage on the Key Question of "Which Party Is More Concerned with Americans Like You"
Plus: Judge OKs Deportation of Hamas Agitator Mahmoud Khalil

They were always elitists -- they just became unafraid to say so since Obama, and gay marriage, and transgenderism, and covid.

They decided to go Full Leroy Jenkins. They divide the world into the Elite and the Deplorables, and they're all done condescending to the Depolorables.

Instead, they're telling the Deplorables that they're wrong, they're morally repugnant, and their advice and consent are no longer needed nor even wanted.

CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten said on Friday morning he was shocked when seeing how much the American public believes the Republican Party cares about them, even in the wake of President Donald Trump's tariff salvo.

During "CNN News Central," Enten pulled up new aggregate poll numbers showing that Americans currently believe that Republicans care about U.S. citizens as much as Democratic Party figures do, a poll that has historically favored the Democrats.

"This, to me, is one of the most shocking pieces of poll data that I truly, truthfully have seen this year, or maybe in any prior year," he said, noting elsewhere how unexpected these numbers are after Trump unveiled his controversial tariffs earlier this month.

CNN's chief data analyst Harry Enten marveled at polling showing Americans' positive view of the GOP even after President Trump launched his tariff war.

Enten displayed poll numbers showing that in the three previous decades, the Democratic Party smashed the GOP in the category of which party is believed to care more about Americans. In 1994, the party had a +19 majority over the GOP; in 2005, a+23; and in 2017, a +13.

The post-tariffs numbers in that category -- taken from a Quinnipiac poll -- showed a tie between the two parties.

"And why is that so surprising? Because I want you to take a look at prior years -- Democrats always lead on this question," Enten said.

"And now all of a sudden, a tie?," he continued. "All of a sudden, the Democrats, who were the party of the people. No more! No more! We get a tie on this question, on a question that has traditionally overwhelmingly been a Democratic advantage... It's truly something I would not have expected to see, especially after this tariff war had begun."

Anchor Kate Bolduan asked the data reporter with which demographic group the Republican Party has been making the most gains. Enten moved to a new graph which showed polling done on college-educated and non-college-educated voters in 2017 and today.

"Among those with a college degree, it's the same score -- plus 18 points for Democrats in 2017, plus 18 points for Democrats now. But look among non-college voters. Look here. It was plus seven for Democrats in 2017. And now Republicans have overwhelmingly gained plus nine points."

Enten stated that the pro-GOP swing represented the party's gains among the "working class."

What the public sees is Trump trying to help American workers.

Meanwhile, all the Democrats can do is shriek that their rich bitch AWFL voter corps lost some money in their retirement funds (for a couple of days) and that we're hurting foreign economies.

Via John Sexton.

Sourpuss Kate Bouldin is sad:

Tim Dillon and Megyn Kelly just spoke about how Democrats and Republicans "changed places" vis a vis the working class in the past ten years. Dillon says that while Republicans are trying to lower the tax burden on workers and protect them against foreign imports and displacement by illegal aliens, the Democrats' method of showing they care about the people is "giving you a Trans Batman."

Breaking: Immigration judge approves deportation of Columbia "student" and foreign agent for Hamas Mahmoud Khalil.

MXMNews:

The Trump administration scored a major win Friday as a Louisiana immigration judge ruled Mahmoud Khalil--a Columbia University graduate student and Algerian national--is eligible for deportation. Khalil, a green card holder, was arrested in early March after federal authorities accused him of aiding pro-Hamas, antisemitic demonstrations and undermining U.S. foreign policy.

Khalil's legal status was revoked after officials determined he played a key role in radical protests tied to the Gaza conflict. According to the State Department, Khalil helped create "a hostile environment for Jewish students in the United States" and posed a broader threat to America's effort to combat antisemitism worldwide. The case was backed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who noted Khalil's continued presence in the country would undercut U.S. policy objectives and endanger Jewish students.

President Trump celebrated Khalil's arrest as a model for what's to come. In a Truth Social post, Trump called it the "first arrest of many" and referred to Khalil as a "Radical Foreign Pro-Hamas Student." That warning came after Trump announced plans earlier this year to deport foreign nationals engaged in what he labeled "pro-jihadist" activism on American campuses.

Khalil, 30, was born in Syria and raised in a refugee camp before studying in Lebanon. He entered the United States in 2023 and received a green card in November. Less than two months later, he was involved in incendiary campus activism that aligned with terror-linked groups.

...

Federal officials also revealed Friday that Khalil is just one of hundreds of foreign students under review. Rubio disclosed last month that more than 300 visas have already been revoked. Nonprofit data reviewed Thursday suggests the true number may exceed 1,000, with many students now flagged in federal immigration databases.

41 "...and that we're hurting foreign economies."
_________________________

MOAR PLEASE!!!!

BTW, I took some time last night to check out some of the foreign media outlets and how they are reacting on the street to the tariffs. I think my favorite was a popular editorial in Dusseldorf, Germany. The whole premise of the article was that they other nationalist leaders (Le Pen, Menoni, AfD party etc.) were all embarrassed by Trump and distancing themselves from his "Economic War."

What I found absolutely hilarious is that they threw a certain word around a lot in the article, but didn't seem to understand what it meant. That word was "Nationalism." OF COURSE, other world leaders regardless of their political designation are going to act counter to Trump's efforts. It's not a team sport. Nationalism is JUST THAT...a primary and direct responsibility to your OWN country. Sure, you can benefit from cooperation economically, but that isn't your PRIMARY goal.

In short, I don't think these opponents to nationalist movements even understand what nationalism means. They just throw the word around with abandon and try and attach a negative connotation to it.

Reminds me of an OT item I had wanted to mention: the US Navy's surface combatant building program is posting its third straight catastrophic failure. The Constellation-class frigate program is behind, over budget, and looks doomed (not one bit of metal yet bent to build a ship). After the LCS and Zumwalt-class fiascoes.

Not as if Hegseth/NavSec don't have their hands full already, but the USN's surface combatant program is a 5-alarm fire. And not even mentioning the ordnance problem (ammo already being moved from Pacific depots to supply Red Sea operations against the ewoks).

The cause for the reversal is quite simple, the invasion of illegals across the borders. What's even worse is that the illegals were given all privileges and financial benefits which not even home-grown disaster victims are given.

It didn't escape normal people that during the COVID horrors they were forced into isolation and made to chose to accept the vaccine or no job while the illegals were allowed to roam free.

Scotus did not. Poor media coverage. Dred Justice Roberts sent it back to teh district court to clarify its authority to address the case and consider properly executive powers. People thought Roberts was ordering a return, but the government original motion to stay was now moot due to district court order lapsing and the district court has to clarify its reasoning in the first place on effectuating and facilitating return to the US.

I don't know how true this is. I guess if you limit it to ten years, then it is.

Democrats never wanted what was best for the country.
Republicans sometimes did, like winning VN or Iraq once it got started because losing would have been a stain on the country. Or wanting to defeat USSR and not just coexist.
Nixon, Reagan, and Trump understand that what is best for the country includes what is best for the middle classes.

I think Democrats supported unions because they were the first step to socialism, and they support the dependent classes because they are reliable voters. It has nothing to do with what is best for the country and never has.

The absolute outrage coming from blacks in the ghetto is hard to grasp. Unfortunately, they misplace it on hapless Eric Adams.

But how would you feel if your entire life the message was "we're not giving you shit, work hard and shut up" while the government gave you scraps. You waited on a list for 10 years for a shitty run down section 8 apartment. You struggle constantly to get welfare for your kids. You can't get dental care. You may or may not qualify for medicaid if you're working. The only jobs available are shitty service industry jobs.

Then along come hundreds of thousands of central americans who show up here and immediately get put up in nice hotels, get fed 3 meals a day, no one expects them to work (they can't legally), and everything is paid for, no questions asked.

How would you feel?

NEW: Scott Jennings just went full savage—dropping a mock list of executive orders that would get you deported if he were president.
And let’s be real: he might be onto something.
Live on air, @ScottJenningsKY ripped into some of the most irritating behaviors in America:
“More than 15 seconds at the coffee creamer bar at the coffee shop? Straight to El Salvador.'
'Two or more walking side by side on a sidewalk? You’re gone. El Salvador.'
'Recline your seat on an airplane? El Salvador.'
'Disney adults? You’re going too.'
'And finally, pronouns in your email signature. Out of here.'
He’s not even running, but half the country would be ready to make him president just for these executive orders.

Actually most deportation hearings are pretty short and to the point often 5-10 minutes. Basically de minimus hearings as it turns on the law and whether the deportee meets any of the exceptions with proof that allows them stay. We have at least one million that already have deportation orders out on them and many illegals never actually go to their hearing which results in almost automatic deportation orders.

It is when federal judges get involved in trying to overturn the immigration judge's decision that it takes much longer. They simply do not have the capacity to second guess each deportation nor much statutory support to do so.

Calls Mount Against 35-Year-Old Television Series for Using Caitlin Clark’s Name to Fuel WNBA Debate

In the latest episodeof Law and Order, her name came up in a scene between two characters. And it was the opening scene, so all the more unusual for those who had just tuned in. They were probably hoping for a classic cold open, instead, they got two characters chewing over a basketball league, seemingly the WNBA. One of the characters dropped this line: “The League was built on the backs of talented Black women like yourself. And then these white girls come along, right? Cameron Adler, Caitlin Clark, and they’re instant superstars. Everybody’s saying they put the League on the map.”

It's hard to say. The CIA was very involved in pushing American culture to the world to counteract the communists. Jazz, modern art, early rock n roll.

A large number of prominent musicians in the '60s had relatives that were closely connected to the CIA / military.

But Nixon had a very strained relationship with the CIA by the time he was president. Dulles helped Nixon get elected, then "betrayed" him by telling JFK about the plans for Bay of Pigs (Nixon was VP at the time and couldnt respond to JFK's accusations that the admin was doing nothing about Cuba, because it was classified). So if Elvis did work for intelligence, it was likely not directly for Nixon, or not for the CIA.

But again ... it's really hard to know the truth. All of these intel agencies lie for a living. "Plausible deniability" in the CIA's charter.

I think Obama has been uncharacteristically quiet about Trump's actions so far. And, I tend to think that fits in rather conveniently with what played out at Jimmy Carter's funeral right before Trump moved into the Oval Office. You might recall the lip reader stating this:

Trump (to Obama): "We have to talk. Not here. Somewhere private. It's important."
Obama: (nods)

I think that might have been Trump basically saying. I'm tearing it all down. You're going to watch me do it, and not say a damn thing. Because if you do, I'll come right after you. And, you know there are plenty of reasons as well as documentation."

288 Obama blows off his mouth every so often about what a terrible President Trump is. Bill Clinton has made boatloads of money and is probably too tired to give a damn about leadership.

I think the Clintons are going through their house, storage units, and old gardening sheds trying to find and destroy all the sensitive and top secret documents they squirreled away just in case, back when they had security clearances, before the FBI comes to do a full search for them.

Big fan of the aggregate lawn. Some good landscape paper underneath a gallon of round up and you're all set.
