Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report — 4/ 11 /25![]() Venture Capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya said Thursday on Fox News that the “global elites” are panicking because they no longer control how “governments behave.” President Donald Trump announced on April 2 a list of countries to hit with reciprocal tariffs. Political pundits, lawmakers, and experts clashed over whether the plan would benefit America. By Wednesday, Trump announced a 90-day pause on the tax charge for all countries except China, with the stock market rising in response. . . . . . “I think the thing is that the global elite have deeply benefited from a 20-year regime of taking jobs and moving them anywhere in the world that allowed you to optimize for profit, number one,” Palihapitiya said. “It benefited from an economic regime of low volatility, where you could keep interest rates effectively at zero for quasi forever.” “The reality now is that what they see is an inability to create and scaremonger the White House into economic policy,” Palihapitiya added. “I think that this is very troublesome for them, because they’ve been able to control, from Wall Street or from London or from these other places, how governments behave. So what you see right now is them violently trying to push back and trying to create a narrative.” Of course, as bad if not worse than the Democrat Left are those allegedly on our side who have done nothing, or worse than nothing in the dismantling of America for power and profit by aiding and abetting the anti-American Democrat/Left. That is the GOP. THe Grifting Oleaginous Parasite party, or GOP Fighting against the wishes of their voters is a classic Republican pastime — and this week is no different. When they apparently thought nobody was looking, a cabal of GOP senators comprised of Alaska’s Lisa Murkowski, Utah’s John Curtis, Kansas’ Jerry Moran, and North Carolina’s Thom Tillis — who’s up for reelection next year — quietly sent a letter on Wednesday to Senate Majority Leader John Thune regarding ongoing negotiations over the party’s reconciliation package. Their concern? That the final version of the legislation containing priorities backed by President Trump (tax cuts and border security) will also include provisions fully repealing President Biden’s wrongly named Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), a 2022 law filled with Democrat-backed goodies and “Green New Deal-style” policy priorities. Specifically, these four Republican senators asked that a final reconciliation package forgo “full-scale” cuts of tax credits for the energy sector — which includes those for so-called “renewable energy sources.” These venal traitorous bastards have got to be removed and replaced. It's why I'm cheering for Ken Paxton over Jon Cornyn, and of course he usual suspects are lining up behind that snake's re-election bid. And elsewhere, the situation vis a vis Iran, Israel and America may get interesting sooner than we think The only matter that is of supreme importance to Netanyahu, and apparently to Donald Trump as well, is dealing with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Last week, the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei rejected direct negotiations with the U.S., and news out of Tehran was that the Iranians are speeding up their efforts to build a nuclear bomb. That qualified for summoning Netanyahu to Washington. And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know. Have a great weekend, and to all who are celebrating this weekend a Ziessen Pesach. And may the Angel of Death pass over you all, and may he knock down the doors of all enemies of freedom and righteousness and pave the way for a restoration of peace, prosperity and sanity here and all over this messed up world. Amen.

Ok, asshats, list for me all the examples of "waste, fraud, abuse" that you and your staff have identified in the time that the law has been in effect. I like to keep the Alphabet Corporation Hatefeed (I'm sure Apples have a similar feature) turned on in my phone's Chrome browser. It's a key NPC firmware updater, so I like it the best, and I read it every day.
The NPCs are mindless, unskilled rage conduits whose only purpose is as a weapon - so if you see what slop Alphabet is serving up for these pigs, you can suss out which things are urgent action items for the Party. They spew a lot of hate in different directions - a high baseline of free-floating aggression is necessary for the NPCs to function - but they tend to be highly focused on a particular topic where they want to capture and channel that aggression. The best way to do it is to focus that anger on an individual for NPCs to demonize, so figuring out which of their Goldsteins is getting the most ink reveals the highest current priority. Right now there is plenty of ginned up hate against Bessent, Trump, et. al. with regard to tariffs - but target #1, bold and underlined with a bullet, is very clearly Musk. Half the Hatefeed is devoted to him right now. We're focused on tariff talk, but DOGE is clearly their biggest concern, bar none. Posted by: Yudhishthira's Dice at April 11, 2025 07:56 AM (BI5O2) 30

Does anybody know how long it takes a bird’s feathers to grow back?
Because we had a little one (not a bird guy so no clue what kind it was) that got in when someone opened the door last night. We left the door open for a few hours to see if he’d find his way back out, and I thought he had done just that after not seeing him for hours. But I guess it found a place to hide because I found him a little while ago stuck to a Raid flying insect catcher (blue light with sticky pad behind it). I covered him up with a towel to calm him down, removed the catcher from the outlet and took it outside. Poor guy ripped half his feathers off getting off of the thing and away from me as soon as I took the towel away. So I’m wondering how long it’ll be before he gets chomped by a fox or something. loved the article about why manufacturing is disdained by PowerPoint Geniuses
I've had a long working career and now that I'm older and have flexibility (thank you 529s!) I've left working in IT (hell, I was doing evil not good in UX) and went back to my ad agency roots. but not a CD anymore - I do actual production work now and I'm on retainer for (as of yesterday!) 4 companies. doing stuff. it's not building or manufacturing of course but I see the physical results of my work all the time (and some of you do too!) and I hope that now I'm helping brighten days and communicate valuable things to people, unlike before when I was employed to trick them and steal from them. the laptop class form of working is not work, in many cases, and it skews your brain. it's nice now that the only typing I do is my silly posts here! I don't even have to code anymore, thanks AI! PETER NAVARRO ON ELON MUSK: “We all understand in the White House (and the American people understand) that Elon's a car manufacturer. But he's not a car manufacturer — He's a car assembler. In many cases, if you go to his Texas plant, a good part of the engines that he gets (which in the EV case are the batteries) come from Japan and come from China. The electronics come from Taiwan... what we want — and the difference is in our thinking and Elon's on this — is that we want the tires made in Akron. We want the transmissions made in Indianapolis. We want the engines made in Flint and Saginaw. And we want the cars manufactured here.” Elon Musk @elonmusk Apr 8 Navarro is truly a moron. What he says here is demonstrably false. @amuse @amuse Correct me if I'm wrong, but Teslas do not have traditional multi-speed transmissions like internal combustion engine vehicles. Instead, they use a single-speed fixed gear transmission. ScrambuII (Checkmark) @BrokenEg0 there are no engines, there are electric motors, there is no transmission per se the motors can directly drive the wheels. Navarro listed ICE car components which don’t really align with EVs Posted by: andycanuck (mZtdJ) at April 11, 2025 08:15 AM (mZtdJ) 69

The Judge “allowing” the US government to require non citizens (aliens) to register is big.
——- It’s always been that way. Well - since 1940. Once a year. The government used to provide these nice PSA on the radio in the 1950s reminding green card holders to update with their new address within 30 days. Fingerprints, everythang. Security theater post 9/11/2001 has always been absurd and impossible to take seriously. Grandma from Peoria, they crawl around up her ass with a microscope at the airport, whilst millions of unknown and unvetted people pour across the southern and northern borders. I truly thought the government would get serious about “migration” that day. Boy was I naive Posted by: Common Tater at April 11, 2025 08:24 AM (l4gBO) 92
The reason things aren't manufactured in the US anymore is because government mandated it.
We're in the state we are now, under China's thumb, because government mandated it. Trump is correct stating that we need all those jobs back here because it's overall a national security issue. >>Sory, folks. T-Money was dumb dumbs listening to Navarro. Thank good Bessent won the argument. Problem is the budget is busted and the short term debt is coming due. No pressure applied to Congress for actual cuts and no all for a transformative pro growth tax package. This could have been handled.....a bit better.
There's a big misunderstanding of what is happening in Congress. The budget resolution that was just passed was fashioned to allow the real action, Budget Reconciliation. If you've heard Trump speak over the last 3 months the target is what he calls "one big beautiful bill". That's the Budget Reconciliation Bill. The target for that bill is $1.5 trillion in cuts but the budget reconciliation had to be agreed to first. That's done and now comes the really hard part. They are well aware of the short term debt coming due, all $9 trillion of it. The media likes to focus on the equity markets but the bond market is what is driving a lot of the action with tariffs and trade. Our debt and trade deficits were unsustainable, something the left and the media don't like to talk about because they got us here. Get ready for a lot of hair burning and clothes tearing. . They loved nesting in a decorative wreath on the door with a fake pine cone and some flowers. The first two I managed to get out after an hour or so of struggle. The third one, a few Christmas back, made a very bad choice and flew head on into a full-blast ceiling fan, got slingshotted across the room and landed on his back in the corner of a wall, slid down it like something out of a Loony Toon and was dead from a broken neck by the time it hit the floor. At least this one could walk away, but he’s not going to make it in this neighborhood which is like sitting in the woods with Snow White there are so many animals around. NEW - Massive black hole 'waking up' in Virgo constellation A massive black hole at the heart of a galaxy in the Virgo constellation is waking up, shooting out intense X-ray flares at regular intervals that have puzzled scientists, a study said Friday. Astronomers previously had little reason to pay any attention to galaxy SDSS1335+0728, which is 300 million light years from Earth. But in 2019, the galaxy suddenly started shining with a brightness that turned some telescopes its way. Then in February last year, Chilean astronomers started noticing regular bursts of X-rays coming from the galaxy. This was a sign that the galaxy’s sleeping black hole was waking from its slumber, according to the study published in the journal Nature Astronomy. Most galaxies, including our home Milky Way, have a supermassive black hole squatting at their heart, like a spider in a web. These invisible monsters gobble up everything that comes their way — not even light can escape their almighty suck. If an unlucky star swings too close, it gets torn apart. The star’s shattered material becomes a stream that spins rapidly around the black hole, [...] Posted by: andycanuck (mZtdJ) at April 11, 2025 08:46 AM (mZtdJ) 153

Good article disproving the "grassroots" origins of the Tesla actions. I have noticed the anti-Tesla action has dropped considerably since word got out that those arrested in earlier actions are treated as terrorists. That means Justice has shall we say 'other methods' of pressuring them to come clean about who they report to. The ultimate disproval of the "grassroots" nature of such public activity was the utter and sudden disappearance of Queers For Palestine from the anti-Israel street actions about a year ago. Man, they dropped off a cliff over night after being ubiquitous for weeks and weeks. Gee, wonder who decided they couldn't match with them anymore?

Any idea if this is real, or some kind of prank to get the Left to overreact? Here's one article's breathless article's lede: Trump Is Now Mandating His Cabinet/Loyalist Wear "Trump Golden Bust" Pins There’s a new dress code in Trump’s Washington, and it’s straight out of a dictator’s playbook. Loyalists in the regime—congressmen, senators, the whole parade of sycophants—are now sporting golden Trump bust lapel pins, a garish little tribute to the man who’s turned the White House into a shrine to himself. They’ve been quietly told to ditch their congressional or Senate pins in favor of this new badge of allegiance. It’s not a suggestion; it’s a loyalty test. And if you’re paying attention, it’s a chilling sign of where this country’s headed. Posted by: Intercepted DU Transmissions brought by the Intrepid AoS Liaison at April 11, 2025 09:07 AM (JCZqz) 237

Trump Is Now Mandating His Cabinet/Loyalist Wear "Trump Golden Bust" Pins
There’s a new dress code in Trump’s Washington, and it’s straight out of a dictator’s playbook. I wish I could find the quote, I think it was Huxley, who said something about normalizing Necromancy was kind of the end goal, or one of them anyway, at inculcating complete degeneracy.
When you learn the connections between Huxley, H.G. Wells, and a lot of other famous names and famous people, they weren’t just writing books for entertainment. They were “futurists” who had very definite ideas about Utopia, and what they had to do in order to achieve it. Destroying the existing system of course, is the only way. Family, God, Country - I’m sure that is like Kryptonite to those folks. Reasonably happy well adjusted reasonably intelligent people, employed, etc., they kind of get in the way, ya know. Colorado gray wolf reintroduction update:
https://is.gd/YLiFef A collared gray wolf has been confirmed by CPW as having entered the Gunnison River drainage area and roamed around the area between Montrose and the Blue Mesa Reservoir last month. This is near the Black Canyon National Monument,, and the furthest south and west in the state that a wolf has been tracked. This area has lots of country boys who may not heed the endangered species protection order. More chances for human/wolf interactions. It's only a matter of time. Hikers, campers, climbers, picnickers abound. Could get sporty. Posted by: muldoon at April 11, 2025 09:14 AM (/iMjX) Posted by: andycanuck (mZtdJ) at April 11, 2025 09:15 AM (mZtdJ) 257

Good morning, all, and thanks, J.J.
It's bad enough to still be suffering the "American Rescue Plan" which Congress has required funds be “obligated” by December 2024 and spent by December 2026) and its inefficiencies. (For one, see US Senate Committee on Health, Education & Pensions, 04.08.2024 'Ranking Member Cassidy Secures $127 Million Repayment of Pension Bailout Funds Wrongfully Paid for Dead People, Calls for Further Accountability.') But the "Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), a 2022 law filled with Democrat-backed goodies and “Green New Deal-style” policy priorities, will go on ... FOREVER. The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) has provisions with varying expiration dates. Some provisions, like the tax credits for electric vehicles (EVs) and existing nuclear power plants, expire in 2032. Others, like the Medicare Part D out-of-pocket, are set for 2025. Many IRA provisions, including the clean electricity investment and production credits, are extended through the end of 2025. As per the IRS, Mar, 3, 2025, "Since the Inflation Reduction Act is a 10-year plan, the changes won't happen immediately." Or ever. Or without a great deal more funding. And it's all a show by Jazmine. She can be as sassy a Sleigh Kween as she wants to be. That will not disguise the fact that much of what she asserts is deep fried in pure ignorance. Posted by: Krebs v Carnot: Epic Battle of the Cycling Stars (TM) at April 11, 2025 09:33 AM (xG4kz) 318
There are metal and plastic (depending on your desire) anti-nesting spikes you can purchase. They work really well, and it's a kindness to the birds because then you're not having to mess up their nest and put their egg laying / offspring survival at risk.

I think I solved that problem by taking the wreath off of the door. It’s pretty and all but I’ve got better things to do than chase Tweety around for a few hours. Thanks, though! Posted by: Sponge - F*ck Cancer at April 11, 2025 09:29 AM (Zz0t1) - I enjoy a good drink. Never used it to drown out sorrows. Need one after something really shocking or awful happens. First time that happened after I married Mrs. BD was when we were hit with an earthquake. Was first time for me. Mrs. BD was as cool as a cucumber. That was about 40+ years ago, one morning around 8AM. Posted by: Biden's Dog sniffs a whole lotta malarkey, at April 11, 2025 09:35 AM (lkmGL) 320
He says "we are knowledge workers not labor" and "these things can be made more cheaply elsewhere"

how many decades of cheering on insider trading by sitting MoCs and Presidents because whatever, and *now* you're gonna get weewee'd up about it?
Pull the other one, it's got bells on. Besides, what they're describing can't be "insider trading" as it was telegraphed louder than a Who concert, so if you were on the "outside" you're a fucking dolt anyway. Congress needs to wake up immigration petition system is horrid for everyone who applies and on the whim of some unknown functionary mostly not doing any of the correct work denies petitions day after day after day only collecting thousands of dollars for a petitioner paying extortion rates to the immigration lawyer. Any person who illegally crosses the border needs to pay a hefty fine but not separated from their families and this fine goes into a pool which pays for the immigration system. all the lawyers need to not be paid by the petitioner but by the immigration system. this removes the barrier that a great number of illegals would stay and become a part of america but no the barriers are multitudinous to anyone attempting to navigate the byzantine system

The great thing about Peeps is that you can save them for next year and they'll still taste just the same.
Speaking of RFK El Dos, is there any recent news on his plan to force pharmaceutical manufacturing back on-shore? I realize that's not something that can happen overnight, but (speaking as an old bastard who needs drugs to keep from taking a dirt nap) it is the most important policy change he could make. I don't like knowing that I continue living at the pleasure of the ChiComs. Posted by: Rodrigo Borgia at April 11, 2025 11:03 AM (W5ArC) 329
Alarms were already being raised about the decamping of US pharmaceuticals back in the 1980s. They were just finding it too difficult to operate in the US, so they were pulling up stakes even back then. At the time they were all heading to Europe so nobody really cared. How that movement eventually bled everything over to China is a story seldom told.
