Headline Of The Week Pregnant woman forced to swallow lit ‘blunt’ after being dragged out of bed by man who wanted to wash her feet, cops say The story is just run of the mill domestic violence, but that headline...boy howdy. Squish Amy Coney Barrett Could Be A Superb Supreme Court Justice. She’s Choosing Not To Be Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett has become a sort of enigma among avid Supreme Court observers. After filling the vacancy left by deceased Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in late 2020, many conservatives were hopeful that the former clerk to Justice Antonin Scalia would offer a much-needed dose of originalism to the high court’s majority of Republican appointees. With Barrett joining Associate Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and (on his good days) Neil Gorsuch, the prospects for decisions abiding by the Constitution as written would be far more likely, or so the conventional thinking went. To her credit, Barrett has shown the potential do just that. During her time as a justice, the former Notre Dame law professor has been instrumental in overturning Roe v. Wade and Chevron deference, upholding certain religious liberty protections, and several other high-profile matters that have come before the high court in recent years. However, what continues to stump constitutionalists and Barrett hopefuls alike is the associate justice’s abject failure to consistently apply originalist doctrine in her rulings. She's a squish, nothing but. Me: — ONT WTF (@OntWtf) April 4, 2025 https://hilariusbookbinder.substack.com/p/the-average-college-student-today Students are not absolutely illiterate in the sense of being unable to sound out any words whatsoever. Reading bores them, though. They are impatient to get through whatever burden of reading they have to, and move their eyes over the words just to get it done. They’re like me clicking through a mandatory online HR training. Students get exam questions wrong simply because they didn't even take the time to read the question properly. Reading anything more than a menu is a chore and to be avoided. They also lie about it. I wrote the textbook for a course I regularly teach. It’s a fairly popular textbook, so I’m assuming it is not terribly written. I did everything I could to make the writing lively and packed with my most engaging examples. The majority of students don’t read it. Oh, they will come to my office hours (occasionally) because they are bombing the course, and tell me that they have been doing the reading, but it’s obvious they are lying. The most charitable interpretation is that they looked at some of the words, didn’t understand anything, pretended that counted as reading, and returned to looking at TikTok.Has anyone seen any of those social media posts displaying things like eight grade exams from 100 years ago? Inevitably, the questions are more detailed and harder than many people get in college today. Here's an example. Archeology Archaeologists find first evidence of epic biblical battle at ‘Armageddon’ For the first time, a team of Israeli archaeologists has uncovered ancient artifacts at northern Israel’s “Armageddon” site that might offer proof of an epic battle documented in the books of Kings II and Chronicles between a king of Judah and an Egyptian pharaoh. Two academic papers published earlier this year explained how an unprecedented amount of 7th-century BCE Egyptian pottery was found in recent excavations at Megiddo, suggesting that Egyptian soldiers were indeed in the right biblical place at what could be the right biblical period. “Megiddo is the only site in Israel and the neighboring countries mentioned in the Bible and in all great records of the Ancient Near East,” said Prof. Israel Finkelstein, head of the School of Archaeology and Maritime Cultures at the University of Haifa and long-time director of the Megiddo Expedition.Weird how they keep finding 10,000 year old artifacts in Israel from the people who “colonized” the poor Palestinians. Very strange. Perfect Your Racism! Actually, this is a fun little website. It shows you two pictures, a male and a female, typical of different ethnic groups from around the world. So in my journey's in AI, I've been checking out Udio, the AI music generation platform, shockingly, the vast majority of the music is really good.
Checking out the Grunge music catalog, you can really hear that the DNA of the wide array of songs is from Nirvana, The Pixies, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Stone Temple Pilots. I can’t read it because Twitter on mobile sucks, but: those areas were f*cked up long before Islam, but adding fanatical religious devotion to shit-poor countries* full of dipshits probably didn’t help. People over-intellectualize this. Islam is trash, but it’s not like Iraq would be ruling the world if it were Catholic. This isn’t 2000 BC and Mesopotamia is not the center of the Earth. At the same time, look at Albania: Muslim, but basically standard-issue “Eastern European shithole” tier. Islam does the most damage among already-wrecked societies, which just happen to be most of the places Islam takes root (except Albania?) Weird how they keep finding 10,000 year old artifacts in Israel from the people who “colonized” the poor Palestinians. Very strange.
The current Islamist claim is modern Jews are descendants of Khazars and therefore not really from Israel. Genetics, history, and archeology all prove them wrong yet here we are. Muslims didn't show up in Israel until the Caliphate conquered the lands in the 600s. Jews had lived there by that point for well more then a millennium. 1. Both the Russians and the Ukrainians appear to be uninterested in the current US ceasefire proposal. 2. The Russians continue to slowly clean up the last of the Kursk salient. A bit to the south, the Ukrainians are holding on to a tiny cross-border salient, which seems to be well contained. 3. Read a blog post today where the author opined that Taylor Swift will be the last human pop superstar. From here on out it will be AI-generated visions that will produce "music" that is precisely tuned to appeal to selected demographics.
Posted by: Idaho Spudboy at April 03, 2025 10:16 PM (pM4Nm) I was thinking about this today. This is not true AI, but it could probably produce fairly decent pop. Think about say Boston. Weird how they keep finding 10,000 year old artifacts in Israel from the people who “colonized” the poor Palestinians. Very strange.
The whole matter of who was there first is kind of weird. When Abraham entered the area, there were already inhabitants there, according to Scripture. So essentially, if you are gonna play "who was here first", it wouldn't be Israelites. From there, it passed hands many times. Each time, I'm sure the people that took it reckoned they owned it rightly. And that is the case to this day. Which isn't to say it's unfair. Someone owned my property before me, and undoubtedly it was taken at some point by force, and at some point it's likely that someone thought it was their land, even though they didn't have such a thing as a property deed. Maybe an Indian or trapper or something. The only other argument is that God gave it to them, which is an entirely different topic. Posted by: Just sayin at April 03, 2025 10:58 PM (PEDYf) 108

Evening everyone. Thx WeirdDave.
That post about Islam is spot on . If you aren't Islamic, you are an infidel. They want infidels dead, converted or enslaved. There is nothing else. The COEXIST crowd are suicidal fools. The Queers for Palestine are double suicidal fools Posted by: Smell the Glove at April 03, 2025 11:56 PM (MxsNV) The scary thing to me is the muzzies are up front about what they want. They want sharia, they want women covered, they want 4 wives. They want to be able to bugger young boys. They believe everyone should fast during Ramadan. Halal for everbody. Non-muslim women are fair game. Everything is about pisslam. They come here and use our freedoms to take away our freedoms. See the Somalis in MN and the muzzies in Dearbornistan. That screetching 'call to prayer' five times a day is another 'plant the flag of conquest' move. I wonder what Texas will end up doing with that planned muzzie sharia city? But the morons who can't see the conquest aspect of pisslam will never see it, because it's outside their wheelhouse; they don't think like that so nobody else does, either. Who's to say that modern "pop" music ISN'T AI already? Music took a giant dive after the industry got smacked when the majority of the grunge producers stopped producing product due to being unstable artist types. After that there was a concerted effort to condition people to accept forms of music that were mostly created by professional producers who could be counted on for product. Performers then became basically front people. If somebody stops producing, you get another one.

I won't list any parallel's between Catholicism and Islam . It’s mind-boggling. Tulsi was a near-ideal candidate for the Democrats. A historic first woman of color President. Lefty, but populist. A veteran. Add the other 2 TBS butter and the sliced garlic. Stirring often, cook until just blond. Add the string beans. Stir to coat with butter. Add water to just cover the beans. Add the bouillion, lemon juice, basil and some cracked black pepper. Stir and bring to boil on high heat. Cook the beans until tender and most of the liquid has evaporated. Taste for seasoning. Add the almonds and stir to mix Turn off heat and add lemon zest. Stir and serve. (Let's hope this doesn't get rejected again as spam.) Posted by: RickZ at April 04, 2025 01:38 AM (gKDq2) 251

Islam can give you a Caliph, or a despot, but not an atheist bureaucracy.
And here's the thing as bad as Islam is it is still better then the modern left. Posted by: 18-1 I disagree. Both systems guarantee sociopaths at the helm. Both are capricious, vicious, and both are religions without grace, redemption, or wisdom. They only differ in the amount of camel piss consumed. EthnoGuessr 2025-04-04
You scored an average of 3275 over 10 rounds in today's EthnoGuessr! You had 3 perfect rounds! ********** The last round I placed in Mongolia, which wasn't a bad choice but still missed the target by a wide margin. Probably more luck than skill for the score I received. Posted by: Sasquatch, the Original Trans-Wookie at April 04, 2025 01:46 AM (wlI+O) 254
Holy Crap ! Thanks! I would never have noticed it otherwise...

Oh, and thank you Dave for the link to the Islam thread. Good stuff.
said Prof. Israel Finkelstein He shows up in a couple of documentaries on the archeological basis for the Exodus and the destruction of the Canaanite cities. His thesis is that there's little to no evidence of mass migration from Egypt, and those that did exit kicked of a commie revolution in the cities. I apologize for laughing at his improbable name of course. Posted by: weft cut-loop at April 04, 2025 01:50 AM (mlg/3) 257
I will make Rick Z's green beans at Easter. There is a turkey breast in the freezer that needs roasting.

-------- This is so offensive. Can a co-blogger please delete this insane post. Posted by: Huck Follywood at April 04, 2025 12:27 AM (zxGcY) I fail to see the offense. All I see is that Catholicism and Islam are both "cradle religions" in which the children are brought up to believe the precepts before they develop any critical thinking chops. But islam is evil, and Catholicism is not. Posted by: Alberta Oil Peon at April 04, 2025 02:02 AM (8zz6B) 260
Ok, sure. It is a good thing we are alerting the cob-loggers to these things, how would they ever know otherwise ?
Posted by: somejoe at April 04, 2025 02:07 AM (RCAte) There are 261 posts in this thread right now. Some people, and the COBs are people, have lives, and cannot read every post on every thread, even those threads they compose. So alerts help a little bit, sometimes. Oh FFS. Islam is a heretical sect taken from Catholicism, removing any notion of a knowable, logical God, any notion of the mercy of God (as in forgiveness for sins, atonement by the crucifixion and death, etc.) and any notion of personal responsibility for sin and need to atone for that. It is, in a word, useless, anti-human, and has as its focus Satan, under the name of Allah.
Any other explanation is floss. Posted by: tcn in AK at April 04, 2025 02:28 AM (LweC0) 266
