Low clearance.

A good dog will follow you anywhere.

Capybara will not concede its favorite sitting-spot to an invader.

Little 'roo begs to be picked up.

Dogs can be generous. But sometimes a dog has to look out for Number One.

Nosy neighbors.

Dog without forelegs walks around on two feet, like a boss.

Anteaters have a special natural defense: Their heads look like arms and their arms look like heads.

Baby horse practices walking.

Are you mommy?

The old fake-out.

Cute street art.

Videogame is enjoyed by cats, especially because it doesn't ask them for their preferred pronouns.

Dog and deer play.

12 Skim-boards were mostly round back when they were invented. You spun them when you threw them. Of course skateboards also were usually plywood, with those nasty metal roller skate wheels, or the nicer ceramic ones (which were deadly, as they'd stop in .5 inch if they hit a pebble, launching you).

An infographic made by @Schizointel showing the range of several of Iran’s long-range cruise missiles and ballistic missiles against U.S. Navy and Air Force assets in the Red Sea and Indian Ocean. While Iran does posses a handful of missiles and rockets that could reach Diego Garcia, it’s unlikely they would waste them trying to target the airbase, especially considering the response it would bring from the United States.

Hegseth has also ordered the Carl Vinson carrier strike group to the region, which will arrive in the region after completing exercises in the Indo-Pacific, according to Bloomberg."

from wiki:
A discharge petition may only be brought after a measure has sat in committee for at least 30 legislative days without being reported; if the petition is on a "special rule" resolution submitted to the Rules Committee, then the period is seven days instead. Once the requisite number of signatures is reached, the petition is placed on the Discharge Calendar, which is privileged business on the second and fourth Mondays of each month.

The whole thing's got a funny smell. From Luna's lips it was only remote voting for pregnant women or just just post pregnancy.
Why did they hold up debate in committee? Thirty days is time enough to talk it over and make a deal.
And it's really not clear from the article why they can't continue other than Johnson said they can't.

Well, Milwaukee results are in now, and I'm guessing that is the single largest reservoir of Donk votes. Don't know if the rural counties have enough clout to whittle that lead away, though.

Posted by: Alberta Oil Peon at April 01, 2025 09:45 PM (8zz6B)

280 I'm on the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal site, and it looks like Decision Desk has called the SC race for Crawford with only 39% in. I hope he's wrong, for a number of reasons.

Huge boxes of ballots are in reserve in Milwaukee, in the back seats of Subarus in parking lots near the county courthouse.

The Donk is leading in the School Superintedent race by about the same as the one for SC. It does sound hinky to me.

289 We won 2 house seats in Florida, but looks like we lost the judge in Wisconsin

But voter id in wi looks to pass easily

I think it’s all but guaranteed GOP loses House in 2026. Need to start passing bills.

290 There's always going to be a backlash to the party in power. That's not unique to any one president or either party. But the Republican Party has a severe structural disadvantage for anything that's not a presidential election, and that's not fucking tenable. It should not have gotten that close in Florida, Randy Fine's personal shortcomings notwithstanding. And these state elections should be more winnable.

Yeah, that's what I've been thinking, even though it's a referendum vote for a WI Constitutional Amendment.

Posted by: davidt at April 01, 2025 09:57 PM (i0F8b)

294 be happy about the FLA special election wins!

WI Supreme Court thing - we had one of those in PA and it was very doom and gloom BUT they've ruled fairly well despite a huge D majority. So I don't see what makes this the end of the world but then again I don't want to rain on any Eeyore Parades!

OF COURSE if Crawford wins that's all we'll hear about. DUH. let's enjoy Florida being awesome! Wisconsin has a ways to go, don't let it freak you out. yeah they cheat we do here in PA still too. probably a lot more lol

Posted by: Black Orchid at April 01, 2025 09:58 PM (Pv3Rg)

295 Sorry, not sorry, but Trump talking about how he could get around the constitution and serve a 3rd term and implementing huge tariffs coming down didn’t help here.

Maybe dial back the trolling? Dems outperformed by like 15 points on those house seats

297 Yeah, that's what I've been thinking, even though it's a referendum vote for a WI Constitutional Amendment.

do you think the Left in PA wanted to accept when PA voted to stop the COVID tyranny via constitutional amendment?!?!

they did not! Wolf would have loved to ignore it. we had a leftist state SC too.

AND YET. it was followed. this should be as well.

Posted by: Black Orchid at April 01, 2025 09:59 PM (Pv3Rg)

298 Lot of Dem articles mocking Johnson.

It appears that killing the pregnant proxy voting or something to do with a spending bill was/is more important to Johnson than passing those bills for Trump.

Great idea, win an election, then claim fraud is what determines elections. I've seen liberals claim Trump cheated in 2024, all they need is him telling everyone that they're right.
