Public opinion of the masses is going to be more focused on whether they see their personal lives improving or not or whether the US is doing something stupid like throwing away billions on Ukraine, trying to put US troops there, etc.

The FL-06 should be fine. Not as much a blow out as normal, but it's already R+9 or so in early voting. Assuming the race to be close one must assume that a large chunk of the FL Republicans are turning on Trump or that unaffiliated are turning against him massively or that election day will be massively Democrat, in contravention of recent history, especially in Florida.

Not really, the voting bases have swapped is part of it. The 'educated' class with high turnout votes for the Dems now and the working and lower middle class votes R for protection from the insane Dems. Those R voters nowadays needed to win are harder to turnout requiring banking early votes, etc. because they are literally working their asses off with little time to engage in the act of voting.
The GOP with Trump on the ticket wins high turnout races but the GOP and its awful crop of current campaign staffers don't get that things have changed. Their design was a low stakes, low turnout election model which the GOP used since FDR. Thus, the old mute the differences, corporatist, etc. no longer works for GOP candidates to win--they gotta promise and deliver to the working and middle class voters to get them to turn out.
More MTG or Boebert and less Eyepatch McCain as candidates.

This is bullshit. The cities will never allow it. Not because they suddenly hate Musk, but because they hate anything that negatively impacts illegal immigrants. All the blue cities are bending over backwards requiring anyone driving or delivering be paid (high) minimum wages, get all kinds of employment protections, etc. It's inconceivable that these same cities will then allow these same drivers/delivery people to be put completely out of work.

Where did this happen? In Canada? U.S. accident reports usually quote speed in MPH. 110 km/h is about 70 MPH,which is probably illegally fast for an occupied school bus.

Without a major overhaul the Democrat Party is dead at the national level. They can still win in deep blue pockets but it's basically 2 parties now. The old, somewhat moderate Dems and the communist wing of AOC and Crockett.

I think single payer healthcare is dead for Americans due to Obamacare as a compelling issue. The poors get it via Medicaid, the middle class gets it via Obamacare subsidies, and those with good insurance off the marketplaces want to keep that rather than a pig in the poke.
Classic sunk cost situation that while they may be dissatisfied with their own insurance (as in it doesn't pay for EVERYTHING), they are loathe to give it up. Obamacare itself probably would not have passed if the concurrent 2008 combo of Iraq/Afghan fatigue AND a massive financial crisis did not aid the Democrats to get massive majorities in the House and Senate.
