It's almost as if these criminals were always findable, but Biden refused to arrest them because he didn't want illegal aliens to have any reason to stop invading our country.
====== That sounds the actions of an administration that hates America and wants to change it for the worse. But that couldn't define Biden's administration. Bill Kristol told me that it was great. Posted by: TheJamesMadison, back to the finish with Corman at March 27, 2025 12:21 PM (GBKbO) 10

I'm so sick of hearing about "Signalgate".
At this point I wish that the administration would just shut up about it and not give it any air. Simply reply to every question about it with the same canned response: "Signal was approved for use by CISA in December of 2024, under the Biden admin for high-ranking encrypted communications. The member of the press who shall not be named because he's a dirty filthy fame-whore liar was inadvertently and mistakenly added. Measures have been put in place to keep this from happening again, including the forced deletion of any media members' contact information from all cabinet members communications devices. So suck it." Posted by: Defenestratus at March 27, 2025 12:26 PM (WYStd) 28

I am even willing to go so far as to suggest that even when he was coherent enough to ask a question, he wasn’t told the truth. This may be part of his befuddlement at why he was getting kicked to the curb or his answers that were the polar opposite of reality.

It's insane the way we've been importing wars into this country. I'm looking at a roundup of an MS-13 mass arrest and there are about 20 bullet points that read just like this one: "On July 31, 2016, MS-13 members and associates, including Jose Pineda-Caceres, went to a party at a South Nashville nightclub. Victim 2 and his younger sister, Victim 3, were at the nightclub with friends celebrating Victim 3’s 18th birthday. Pineda-Caceres saw Victim 2 and believed he was a rival gang member. When Victim 2 left the nightclub with his friends and Victim 3, Pineda-Caceres and another MS-13 associate chased Victim 2’s car on Interstate 24 and shot into his car. A bullet struck Victim 3 and killed her. Pineda-Caceres fled the United States after this murder, but he was arrested when he returned to the United States in November 2017." We're paying to police and settle their wars on our territory. Posted by: Blonde Morticia at March 27, 2025 12:30 PM (5Iuq/) 58
And here is the thing. Those 370 arrests. People who commit rape and murder aren't going to park legally, aren't going to obey traffic laws, and are going to shoplift and assault others.
You'll find these individuals, in reality, commit dozens of crimes every year. And in fact, are responsible for a very large fraction of the total crimes committed. Posted by: El Mariachi at March 27, 2025 12:30 PM (nLFEI) 59
It's also that they didn't want the public to "personalize" that deportations are not only legal, but easy.
Like pretending that once they crossed the border, it was magic, that the whole US was a sanctuary. The only reference to deportations for four years was raw numbers. Statistics. Static. Noise. Not real. Trump is making it real. And the reason they are fighting him so hard on this is, they can't afford the Overton shift. That if we can deport violent criminals, we can deport all criminals. And all illegals are criminals. That's why they are so desperate to get these judges to shit all over the Constitution--they need the narrative shifted back to "deportations are difficult and illegal." A few months later—oopsie—the incoming Trump admin has a “scandal” involving one of the biggest Russiagate hoaxers. Part of the problem appears to do with government-issued devices having Jeffrey Goldberg’s name pre-populated. In Signal, you can mark a contact as “verified” to show they are trusted. - Who at CISA approved Signal and why? - Why was Goldberg already in the list of contacts on these government-issued phones when Signal had only been approved for three months? - Was Goldberg marked as “verified”? I was just reading an article about this arrest on a local news channel. This top MS-13 leader is supposedly 24 years old. Twenty-four.
Posted by: bluebell at March 27, 2025 12:26 PM (79pEw) _________ The kings of the "crack wars" in US cities in the 1980s were younger than that. These thugs are recruited into gangs before they're 10. They're doing serious crimes by 12, murdering by 15, and assuming leadership roles by 20. Plus, these animals don't have long life expectancy. They're mostly killed by rivals (both inside their gang and out). Posted by: Elric Blade at March 27, 2025 12:40 PM (iFTx/) 109
p.s. to bluebell--one of the first mentions I saw of MS-13 activity in NoVa was about 25 years ago, a pregnant teen girl's body had been dumped in WVa, sans hands, feet, head.
Was eventually IDed as a witness against the gang, who never got to testify. For a while, it was not uncommon to find mutilated bodies, again, of young teens, in Fairfax parks, either retribution killings or initiations, often a combo of the two. An eighth grader was killed at a bus stop in Sterling a few years back, an unaccompanied minor who had said no to the local gang recruitment. To have lived to 24 may be the remarkable thing, with probably a ten year (or more) career to get there. Posted by: barbarausa at March 27, 2025 12:40 PM (enw9G) 110

In the last thread, we got a bit of doom and gloom about the future. As an antidote, I HIGHLY recommend reading the article at the link below. It's not specific to the US, in fact, it's about how the rest of the woke world is probably going to start emulating us soon. I agree completely.
The long-term signs show that national populism is far from a spent force. In Germany and elsewhere in the world, populist parties and figures continue to increase in size at the expense of the old parties, left and right. The outlook for reversing that trend seems dim. Populists of all stripes are gaining because the old elites are failing. They rose to power by delivering peace, social solidarity, and prosperity. They have failed to deliver any of these now for most of this century, and the prospect of them changing course is not good. This can only point in one direction: the likelihood that in a decade, perhaps two, most of the West will be governed by a conservative-populist coalition not unlike what Donald Trump has created in America. https://is.gd/MGwYIL Posted by: Archimedes at March 27, 2025 12:41 PM (xCA6C) 114

They've arrested the Romanian presidential candidate who would have won, they're about to imprison LePen in France, and they'll ban AfD in Germany if it gets any more popular.
They may not win, but I expect a wave of repression in the EU, rather than letting "far right" parties gain actual political power. Romania happened, but the other two haven't, and I doubt they will. There's a big difference between conspiring with your ideological soulmates to deny office to someone you don't like, and actively conducting a coup. There would be no better way to ensure a catastrophic repudiation by an angry people. The fact that it's losing its power by the second doesn't mean that there aren't questions that can now be asked about it, that deserve answers and follow up: 1. How - and who - put Goldberg on the Signal thread? 2. Was JG put in there before Trump got into office under a different name? 3. Whom did Goldberg coordinate with on the Senate side to time the hearings just as Fetchgate broke? That's not 1A-protected speech. Put him in front of Congress if necessary. 4. Forget about Goldberg: there should be absolutely NO reporters on any communications system run by the WH. What measures are being taken so that this never happens again? Absolutely nobody cares about the Signal leak.
I will say, whatever aid "accidentally" added the journalist to the chat, should be fired. Not because the media has created a firestorm, it's just either extreme incompetence or it was on purpose. https://is.gd/MGwYIL Posted by: Archimedes =========== I even found an admission to that state of affairs at the rather lefty Quillette: >>The new European commitment to defence and Russia’s unshakeable wish to control Ukraine have revived an awareness that war is something with which comfortable and relatively wealthy states may still have to live. Political and civil society have assumed a dark cast they have not had for decades. Western states are no longer certain that the arc of history is bending towards progress, liberal democracy, and perpetual peace. Higher consumption and better social security may yet have to make way for greater defence spending. The Western states now believe they must prepare for the possibility of war. And if that war comes, they will need to fight and win it if they are to preserve their democratic politics. Posted by: Blonde Morticia at March 27, 2025 01:03 PM (5Iuq/) 248

Today's news: PARIS (Reuters) - Marine Le Pen, leader of France's far-right National Rally (RN) party, will on Monday learn her fate in an embezzlement trial that could upend French politics if she is barred from running in the 2027 presidential election. I confess I didn't know about this trial, but I'll still say they'd be fools to do what you're describing, and I doubt they will. Even if they do, however, that's not the same thing as banning the party. I'd keep an eye on Germany. On the day of the election, the AfD was about 7% points behind the CSU. The previous year they were a blip. Currently, after Merz teamed up with leftist blocs (who don't understand the concept of moderation and forced unpopular policy through) to cut out AfD. The result? Well, AfD is polling about 3% points behind CSU at present. And, all kinds of whining is going on because the leftist parties that had their collective posteriors handed to them in the election are wielding more power as a result.
Der People aren't happy. All it will take is another high profile knife attack or fire, and watch AfD waltz past CSU. That's exactly what I expect to happen, but if it doesn't, the CDU will eventually join the AfD to avoid electoral extinction. Posted by: Archimedes at March 27, 2025 01:06 PM (xCA6C) 269

Posted by: Thomas Paine at March 27, 2025 01:25 PM (lTGtQ) --- Germany's parliamentary system is different than the other ones. The only way to call a snap election is if the Chancellor requests a vote of confidence, loses it, and then asks the president for a new election. The reason that this happened was that AfD was gaining ground so rapidly, this was an attempt to forestall their progress and create another useless Grand Coalition without them. At this point, the only option is to ride this rocket into the ground or, if the public becomes agitated enough, give in on the exclusion, and let the Union lead a coalition government. There is no path the AfD taking over, but there is a path to coallition if popular mood becomes nasty enough. Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. Lloyd at March 27, 2025 01:28 PM (ZOv7s) 371

Lloyd at March 27, 2025 01:28 PM (ZOv7s) Germany's system is designed for sclerosis and to give plenty of time for the 'moderates' to crush out any insurgencies, I suppose under the idea that it will give the 'good' government forces time to react. Perpetual elections in the various districts, followed at some distant time with others. They've managed to make politics boring. Problem is that this all assumes that the moderates are moderate and respond to political differences by trying to satisfy the voter. I recently read a German definition of 'democracy' that was 10 minutes long and never mentioned responding to the people's desires once. Even Hitler responded to the idea of the Volk. So now that their is a real opposition party the response is to legally, or not so legally conspire to destroy them rather than incorporate them or compromise in any way. And after 70 or so years it shows that Germany has no idea what a democratic government or a republican one even is. If the US had these ideas there would be Civil War. Very hard. Posted by: mrp at March 27, 2025 01:33 PM (rj6Yv) Alberta should just stop charging tariffs to the US and start shipping oil south. Posted by: Oldcat at March 27, 2025 01:42 PM (n7h9X) 394
You're minimizing the issue, the issue is the highest levels of our government are communicating on a consumer communication platform that is not under the control of the federal government that does not have user access or security controls.
I was under the impression that it was Open Source software compiled and installed on government servers by government IT employees. No? Posted by: Grump928(C) at March 27, 2025 01:44 PM (jc0TO) 395

=== I'm sure some of this is because when someone like Trump communicates on a secure line, you have Vindman types listening in. That's probably what they're most angry about. But I will say whoever added the journo on should be fired as it either looks like sabotage or they're retarded. But I would be Signal is more secure than any government approved source because "Deep State" Posted by: Leupold at March 27, 2025 01:47 PM (4pwAx) 396
372 If there is a no confidence vote, a snap election will be called, but see me at 350.
Posted by: Thomas Paine at March 27, 2025 01:28 PM (lTGtQ) ====== I'll believe it when it happens. Snap elections are not going to happen with AfD in a position to take more power. Posted by: TheJamesMadison, back to the finish with Corman at March 27, 2025 01:29 PM (GBKbO) In Europe snap elections are tools of the government to catch the insurgents flat. Governments no longer fail just because they lose a vote. This takes away the only 'good' think about a parliamentary system, that a government can fall unexpectedly. And that every party needs to be ready to govern. Instead, none of the parties are ready to govern. Posted by: Oldcat at March 27, 2025 01:48 PM (n7h9X) 397
Speaking of payment systems, it would be nice to see AOSHQ shitcan Paypal, and adopt a more secure, non-Leftard alternative. My bank, and I am sure many others, allows me to do a direct e-transfer to an e-mail address.

=== Heads of state were sending messages to each other about blowing up NordStream with public apps that Russia got after about 17 seconds. If what they have now is not secure enough have DOGE whip up a clone. Posted by: Oldcat at March 27, 2025 01:55 PM (n7h9X) 400
It's always fun to see the towns you're familiar with in the news. Way to go, Marlborough, Milford, and Worcester! Making us proud.

For those of you asking where's the Epstein list, don't panic. How many of these guys got across the border using a kid as a prop? Where's the kid? An NGO? That's just a PO box? Find that kid and I'll bet beer and pizza you'll also find Epstein's former customers and sub-contractors.

In addition Musk working the DOGE angle is zeroing in on these NGOs, too. Eventually him and Homan are going to pull up to the same shady office building at the same time Sen. Schiff is leaving.

It's not clear whether this terrorist was arrested in Woodbridge or Dale City but you wouldn't want to live in either place these days. I lived in both about 50 years ago and Woodbridge was sketchy back then. Dale City was where decent folks went to escape but it is now just as bad as Woodbridge.
Everything in Woodbridge is in Spanish. It's like you moved to the worst part of San Salvador. Posted by: WarEagle82 at March 27, 2025 04:18 PM (YcfMX) 407
