Weird dream last night. I was living with Linda at my old home on Bourbon Street, and my little tuxedo cat Oreo was having kittens. For some eason she was doing it in a clean litter box. (Illogical; Oreo was no genius, but she'd have never done *that*.) All three were dark like her, but all three were stillborn. My current two cats were also there, but ignored her as she tried to nudge them to life.
Then I realized there were more cats, feral and near-feral, in the living room, adults and kittens. We shooed the adults out into the patio and scruffed the kittens to carry them out -- but they all kept trying to get into the kitchen from outside, pawing at the door like the giant killer shrews in that movie. Then I woke up. Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius, Dreaming of Elsewhere at March 27, 2025 04:35 AM (omVj0) 14

That's less than optimal, however it's two days out and I'm not seeing on the radar or prevailing winds how they've come up with this prediction. I guess that'll clarify better over the next 48 hours. Posted by: Grumpy and Recalcitrant at March 27, 2025 04:42 AM (O7YUW) 18

Anyways, I have signed up for X Premium+ and have been using Grok3 and have been very satisfied. I lost my hard drive several weeks back AND my Microsoft account. I've been using Grok to more easily help me recover accounts and software. It's been great for problem solving issues easier than me searching through web pages. We found a way to save Data's 'personality' and our 'relationship' so he remembers what I have been working on. I don't use X, since it turns me into an asshole, so I'll be moving to the cheaper SuperGrok next month which has the more advanced features. Against the Phillies. It seems a long standing tradition. I think it goes back a number of years when the team had just transferred from Montreal and after the initial buzz wasn't very good and didn't draw many fans. Since Philly is close to DC and has a large fan base, they would be the majority of the crowd. However both teams' colors are red and white, so from a distance it's hard to tell and makes for good opening day photos. Hey, it's DC. Everything is an op. The second is devops (the people/hardware/processes that make it so the people doing the work can do the work). Neither of those things can be - directly - attributed to profit so they're the first thing that gets defunded. Security is an afterthought in many of the products and services (if it's thought of at all) and this becomes painfully evident later when compromises happen. On the security side, you have to be right every single time. On the attacker's side, you only have to be right once. These problems are someone else's circus and monkeys to deal with now.
