THE MORNING RANT: Another Climate Apocalypse Deadline Just Passed

On June 3, 2022, a protestor tied her neck to the net during a tennis match at the French Open. Her shirt read “We Have 1028 Days Left.” She was referring to the scientifically indisputable analysis from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change that if radical de-carbonization was not implemented within that time frame, it would be too late to save the planet from the angry climate God.

The 1,028th day was last week, Thursday March 27, 2025. We’re all still here, sea levels haven’t risen, global temperatures haven’t changed, and the climate is not in peril.

I’ve spent a lot of time mocking people like this young lady, but it is absolutely tragic and heartbreaking how we have immersed our children in the false-science of the climate doomsday cult. She deserved better than to be told by “respectable” authorities that life on Earth will end if she does not take radical action, possibly sacrificing her freedom, to save the planet.

We’re also at the 5-year anniversary of the Covid hysteria, and it too was pure evil how authorities put the fear of death into our children. My city’s local newspaper has an annual competition for children to design wrapping paper, with the winning design distributed within the paper on the Sunday before Christmas. In December 2020, this was the winner – two cartoon gingerbread children with a yard stick between them, and the words “6 feet apart but still in my heart” across the wrapping paper.

I’m still seething with anger about the Covid sharia and emotional abuse inflicted on children during the that social panic.

Ace wrote a few days ago about how Gen-Z is turning out remarkably conservative, as well they should, considering all the abuse that was heaped on them at the confluence of climate catastrophism, Covid, and woke vilification. For all the times and all the ways today’s young adults were told by adults in their lives that they were going to die young, we are lucky the younger generation didn’t turn out to be burn-it-all down nihilists.

Their goal was to find a cause they could use to control population growth because they were all a bunch of Malthusian freaks. I was on dating apps on and off for several years. I hear about those statistics, but I never had any issues getting matches and going on dates.

While my mom would say I'm a very handsome young man, I think I'm pretty average looking.

I don't know.

Anyways, dating apps are probably one of the most psychologically unhealthy inventions ever. I got on them in my 30's, so I had some perspective. But imagine that's all you know about dating -- swiping, casual sex, ghosting, on to the next one.

And both men and women are both assholes on the apps. The algorithm is designed for it. It's designed to be a numbers game, and you keep going until you're sick of going on first dates, and settle with someone who feels the same way.

But both of you know, deep down, that there might be a better match just one swipe away.

It's gamified dating -- very similar to video poker machines or whatever.

Very unhealthy for society.

All insecticides are, by their nature, poisons.

That said, DDT is likely safer than anything we have developed since then. But real science nerds tell me DDT was so overused that bugs were adapting and it wasn't working as well at that point anyways.

But yes, I hope with RFK Jr. in DC, maybe we can see some of the real studies about the external impacts of all of the poisons we use in factory farming.

They slowly brought him out from under a medically induced coma and gave him all week, but he never woke up. The original swelling from the aneurysm was just too severe.

The small drones can't carry enough payload so are something like grenade carriers at best. These are best thought of as anti personnel weapons. The bigger ones carrying enough explosives are easier to intercept and much more expensive. And the most difficult to intercept, missiles cost the most but deliver the most bang per buck.

But, my best estimation of the casualties on the Ukraine-Russia war is that plain old artillery is causing most of it like in WWI. Not sexy but very effective in war.

BTW, I expect emp or even particle beam countermeasures to come about soon for drones. Because electronics have become easier to fry as they keep shrinking to the atomic level.

It was not the Biden bombing of Houthis that I cared about much but it was that the bombing was specifically designed like in Vietnam, to send a political message rather than a military one. Aiming at specific missile launcher rather than the ecosystem allowing these attacks.

All the Houthis had to do was ignore Iranian commands to harass shipping including American flagged (including US territorial and trust flagged) shipping and US warships. The Iranians via their proxies chose to 'send a message' by trying to block international waters and transit in order to extract money out of it and assert power to deny shipping.

The Euroweenies tried and failed to respond via their warships as they have ignored spending money for decades on them. Thus, the US had to respond but under Biden, it was a flaccid bomb empty tents and minimal disruption as Dems have done since LBJ. Trump has decided to end the Houthi logistics that make it possible for them to be Iranian catpaws. Good.
