Trump, Republicans At All-Time High in Public Approval, Says (Liberally-Skewed) Fox News Poll

As you know, Fox News' polls always skew Democrat because their in-house polling expert is himself a partisan left-wing Hillary Clinton donor. Because FoxNews is a garbage organization that cons the rubes.

But even their skewed poll shows Trump and Republicans at their highest approval rates ever.

Nearly two months into his second term, President Donald Trump's approval rating matches his all-time high.
Congressional Republicans also enjoy record ratings, while views of congressional Democrats tumble near an all-time low, according to the latest Fox News Poll.
Half of voters, 49%, approve of the job Trump is doing as president, matching his high from April 2020. That's also better than at the same point in his first term (43% approved in March 2017). He is at high marks among key groups, including women, Black voters and voters under age 30. (For reference, in January, a 52% majority of voters approved of the job Trump was doing handling the presidential transition.)

Keep in mind that Trump has made major big-time moves since the transition, many of which are -- or would have been, in years passed -- extremely controversial. To have majority support while you're tearing down the entire Old Order is amazing.

His approval rate will go higher once his crusade to bring down the Regime is accomplished and he passes into a more peaceful stage of his presidency.

Depending on how the bets he's making now turn out, this could well be the lowest level of support he'll see during his second term. I think most of these bets will pay off, politically.

Nine in 10 Republicans approve of Trump, while the same number of Democrats disapprove. Six in 10 Independents disapprove of his job performance.

Don't worry about the independents being against us. "Independent" is a malleable category with people drifting in and out of it. As the Republican Party coalesced around Trump, liberal Republicans either became Democrats, or were given New York Times columnist jobs, or became independents. Meanwhile, many Republican leaners who had been Republican-aligned independents simply began identifying as Republicans.

Also, many Democrats who are either are worried that the party has become too woke and too crazy -- or are angry that the party isn't woke and crazy enough -- now call themselves "independents."

This is a change from years past when "independents" were a Republican-leaning group. Now most Republican leaners are simply Republicans.

Overall, 51% disapprove of the job Trump is doing, including 45% who strongly disapprove.

Congressional Republicans hit their highest approval rating ever this month, as 43% of voters approve and 55% disapprove. While that is upside down by 12 points, it still constitutes a significant improvement from the 36-point net negative rating in October 2023 and the 55-point low a decade ago.
News across the aisle isn't as rosy. For Democrats in Congress, 66% disapprove of the job they are doing, with only 30% approving -- nearly matching their record low of 29% approval in November 2013. The current 36-point deficit represents a marked decline from the 23-point difference in October 2023, the last time the question was asked (37% approve, 60% disapprove), and the high of +10 in April 2009 (50-40%).

2013 was a time when the Tea Party was thriving -- but opposed by the Republican Party itself. Now the Republican Party has been taken over by Tea Party types, who are largely MAGA now.

My point is: The Republican Party was not poised to capitalize on Democrat unpopularity in 2013, as Mitch McConnell considered his own base his primary political opponent. Now it is unified, and well-positioned to make the Democrats pay for their extremism and pro-terrorism insurrectionary tendencies.

The boost to the GOP approval is primarily attributable to more Republicans backing their party today (88%) than in October 2023 (54%). Again, the partisan contrast is striking, as only 49% of Democrats approve of their party's lawmakers today vs. 74% in 2023.

Vice President JD Vance's job rating is in negative territory by 8 points: 45% approve, 53% disapprove. Among Republicans, his approval (85%) is slightly lower than Trump's (92%) and Congressional Republicans' (88%).
By an 18-point margin, voters disapprove of the job Elon Musk is doing at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) (40% approve, 58% disapprove). Most Republicans (78%) approve, while nearly all Democrats disapprove (93%).
Secretary of State Marco Rubio breaks even with 47% both approving and disapproving. He is the only administration official who receives double-digit approval from Democrats (11%).

Don't worry about the Democrats, though: They have increased their hold on the AWFLs, even as the AWFLs drive every other bloc out of the party.

But I'm watching the new Daredevil series. Yes, it follows from the original, and has been (mostly) dewokefied (there's a moment in episode 4 where I was like "you were doing so good", but it was a moment, so I forgive it)...

But it's biggest win - it shows Kingpin becoming mayor and trying to run NY. Promising to fix it and clean it up. And when his assistants tell him what it takes to get anything done, and thus why everything's a pit, I wanted to cheer. And he can't do anything about it b/c the process has been made to make the actual elected official completely powerless.

Now, it's Kingpin, so I'm sure in later episodes, well, things will change, but i want to cheer for showing an awful NYC and how it became that way with the graft, the union games, the corruptions, the bureaucracy, etc...and this is Disney.

So, someone got the message b/c they took the original filmed show and chucked it when it sucked, got new writers, and tried again. No one is watching it, but it worked.

Not only that, but gov’t spending is massively inflationary. The Federal government is adding something like $6 to the national debt for every $1 increase in GDP.

A reduction in tax liability tends to spur actual economic growth, because the private sector will save and invest, which is disinflationary.

Tax cuts never caused inflation; it’s always been out-of-control government spending.

Wait until they find out Neena Tanden was in charge of the autopen and issued multiple pardons when Biden was in the Virgin Islands vegetating in the sun. Seems that the paperwork for those being authorized (some hardened criminals among them) is not present.

Paul Ryan was told by the deep state to run on pretending to cut spending, then make sure spending does not get cut. He was smart about it -- claimed he looked around, and the only place to cut was social security.

That forced you and me to defend to our non-political friends why we needed to keep them working until 72 years old before they could collect SS. It made the idea of government spending toxic, AND gave the media the talking point that there is nothing to cut in the discretionary spending, even Paul Ryan said so!

In other words, Paul Ryan's mission was to make sure no government spending got caught, and he succeeded.

People would be much more open to paying more taxes and receiving fewer benefits if they thought the system was fair and worked well with minimal waste.

Which is almost certainly never happen.

But if you want to talk about cutting spending, you start with things like USAID. Low hanging fruit.

You don't say "well, sorry 63 year old blue collar workers, you're going to have to work for another 7 years before you can receive benefits" while showering money and bennies on everyone else. It's political suicide, and Paul Ryan knew it and did it on purpose.

And you ESPECIALLY don't do it while you're allowing millions of immigrants in to the country to compete with Americans for their jobs.

I just had the bizarre thought that, if the "full faith and credit" of the USG is worth less than nothing, the US Dollar still wouldn't necessarily crater in value, simply because that's what we all got, and we're not really in hyperinflation territory yet... After the Crash of '08, I got really interested in how the system worked, but now being, 29, a lot of that has sort of disappeared from the brain storage.

There are two kinds of M0, base, hard "high powered" money. Physical cash, and digital dollars that exist only in the Fed's computers. That is banks have reserve accounts at the Fed, than contain the digi-dollars. They can convert that to physical reserves in their vaults, but everything mostly exists digitally. Well, there's well over a trillion in physical FRNs out there, haven't looked at the Fed's reports in a while.

Now, Treasury maintains a "checking account" at the Fed, which is digi-dollars. This does not count as M0 "in the system" until Treasury spends it out.

So, when the executive branks spends money, say $1, that should be a debit out of Treasury's Fed account, which then goes into some bank's reserve account at the Fed. (continued)

You could do this "rogue printing" with physical paper cash. The Fed only knows how much is supposed to be out there, outside of the system, by the difference in what they put out, vs. what they take back in.

Some rogue outfit could print up secret cash somehow and send it out, that wouldn't show up. But how you do this digitally, which are all "in the Fed's computers" without it showing up, I don't know.

But no, I think what Musk is saying is much darker -- that there are computers, not on the central network, that have the ability to write checks without any money to cover them and the checks clear.

I'll tell you what they're doing, and it's what you would expect from their Liberal govt (which will be extended because Carney will be elected officially). Just yesterday, Carney lined up the Carbon goals to match the EU. Why? Well, because they are going to renegotiate CETA (Canadian EU Trade Agreement) and the reason it took over a decade the first time was because the agreement didn't "mirror" each other. But, the Carbon goals now match. They'll fine tune other goals to make sure the CETA is a "mirror" agreement to EU regulations, and then try to cut the US out of trade on Agri and lumber. But, it won't work out like they think because the EU is going down the trash disposal as well and they won't have the resources to make a dent. I really think things are about to get nasty in the EU financially, civilly and politically.
