Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Trump, Republicans At All-Time High in Public Approval, Says (Liberally-Skewed) Fox News PollAs you know, Fox News' polls always skew Democrat because their in-house polling expert is himself a partisan left-wing Hillary Clinton donor. Because FoxNews is a garbage organization that cons the rubes. But even their skewed poll shows Trump and Republicans at their highest approval rates ever.Keep in mind that Trump has made major big-time moves since the transition, many of which are -- or would have been, in years passed -- extremely controversial. To have majority support while you're tearing down the entire Old Order is amazing. His approval rate will go higher once his crusade to bring down the Regime is accomplished and he passes into a more peaceful stage of his presidency. Depending on how the bets he's making now turn out, this could well be the lowest level of support he'll see during his second term. I think most of these bets will pay off, politically. Nine in 10 Republicans approve of Trump, while the same number of Democrats disapprove. Six in 10 Independents disapprove of his job performance.Don't worry about the independents being against us. "Independent" is a malleable category with people drifting in and out of it. As the Republican Party coalesced around Trump, liberal Republicans either became Democrats, or were given New York Times columnist jobs, or became independents. Meanwhile, many Republican leaners who had been Republican-aligned independents simply began identifying as Republicans. Also, many Democrats who are either are worried that the party has become too woke and too crazy -- or are angry that the party isn't woke and crazy enough -- now call themselves "independents." This is a change from years past when "independents" were a Republican-leaning group. Now most Republican leaners are simply Republicans. 2013 was a time when the Tea Party was thriving -- but opposed by the Republican Party itself. Now the Republican Party has been taken over by Tea Party types, who are largely MAGA now. My point is: The Republican Party was not poised to capitalize on Democrat unpopularity in 2013, as Mitch McConnell considered his own base his primary political opponent. Now it is unified, and well-positioned to make the Democrats pay for their extremism and pro-terrorism insurrectionary tendencies. Don't worry about the Democrats, though: They have increased their hold on the AWFLs, even as the AWFLs drive every other bloc out of the party.
Below: Chuck Schumer went on The View to attack Americans for feeling that they were more deserving of their hard-won wages than the Grifter Government the Democrats created over 60+ years of socialist agitation.

Any one of the things Trump is doing (or trying to do) right now would have caused a firestorm of backlash and "That's Not Who We Are" tut-tutting from the professionally political classes, while generating only a tiny blip of support from an enervated and discouraged base.
So he's not doing one of the things, he's doing *all* of the things, flooding the zone for the professional tut-tutters, and giving the base a sense of hope that the impregnable Default Leftist cultural monolith might not be so monolithic after all. It's like Aikido or Judo or something, playing with leverage and momentum to take down a much bigger opponent... Or maybe it's more accurately like Sumo, using a combination of overwhelming bulk and impeccable timing to knock some fat bastard on his ass. So, I know we shouldn't watch anything Disney...
But I'm watching the new Daredevil series. Yes, it follows from the original, and has been (mostly) dewokefied (there's a moment in episode 4 where I was like "you were doing so good", but it was a moment, so I forgive it)... But it's biggest win - it shows Kingpin becoming mayor and trying to run NY. Promising to fix it and clean it up. And when his assistants tell him what it takes to get anything done, and thus why everything's a pit, I wanted to cheer. And he can't do anything about it b/c the process has been made to make the actual elected official completely powerless. Now, it's Kingpin, so I'm sure in later episodes, well, things will change, but i want to cheer for showing an awful NYC and how it became that way with the graft, the union games, the corruptions, the bureaucracy, etc...and this is Disney. So, someone got the message b/c they took the original filmed show and chucked it when it sucked, got new writers, and tried again. No one is watching it, but it worked. Posted by: JackStraw at March 20, 2025 04:41 PM (LkLld) Not only that, but gov’t spending is massively inflationary. The Federal government is adding something like $6 to the national debt for every $1 increase in GDP. A reduction in tax liability tends to spur actual economic growth, because the private sector will save and invest, which is disinflationary. Tax cuts never caused inflation; it’s always been out-of-control government spending. Posted by: Disinterested FDA Director at March 20, 2025 04:54 PM (/q9k6) 53

It's now abundantly clear that the government's books are in a shambles. We have no idea how much is coming in or going out, or where a disturbing amount of it is going. Schumer’s biggest mistake was, besides remaining a committed Democrat, flipping to support the CR after getting everyone else to reject it. Sure, there was always going to be the “resist” faction, but he really pushed the marginals over the edge while he stood back at the last moment. They do not give a shit about us. They give a shit about one thing: getting rich and powerful. Paul Ryan was told by the deep state to run on pretending to cut spending, then make sure spending does not get cut. He was smart about it -- claimed he looked around, and the only place to cut was social security. That forced you and me to defend to our non-political friends why we needed to keep them working until 72 years old before they could collect SS. It made the idea of government spending toxic, AND gave the media the talking point that there is nothing to cut in the discretionary spending, even Paul Ryan said so! If I'm reading this poll correctly, college-educated (primarily white) women want the Democratic Party to go even farther Left, become even more Woke than they already are, a state hard to envision. How can that possibly work? How could any Democratic Party elected official at the national level accommodate that demand?
So they get rid of Schumer, okay, fine. Then what, or who? There's no leader around whom they can coalesce, no xe/xer on a white horse ready to save them. And no, AOC isn't the answer and even the more batshit among them must know this. Michelle Obama is bombing. I just had the bizarre thought that, if the "full faith and credit" of the USG is worth less than nothing, the US Dollar still wouldn't necessarily crater in value, simply because that's what we all got, and we're not really in hyperinflation territory yet... If everyone in unison just decides to keep living as though a buck were worth a buck, then nothing much would change. It's all funny money anyway. A dollar is worth whatever you can buy for it at the end of the day, regardless of swamp shenanigans.

After the Crash of '08, I got really interested in how the system worked, but now being, 29, a lot of that has sort of disappeared from the brain storage. There are two kinds of M0, base, hard "high powered" money. Physical cash, and digital dollars that exist only in the Fed's computers. That is banks have reserve accounts at the Fed, than contain the digi-dollars. They can convert that to physical reserves in their vaults, but everything mostly exists digitally. Well, there's well over a trillion in physical FRNs out there, haven't looked at the Fed's reports in a while. Now, Treasury maintains a "checking account" at the Fed, which is digi-dollars. This does not count as M0 "in the system" until Treasury spends it out. So, when the executive branks spends money, say $1, that should be a debit out of Treasury's Fed account, which then goes into some bank's reserve account at the Fed. By the way: Who ever called Schumer moderate?
Posted by: TheJamesMadison, back to the finish with Corman at March 20, 2025 04:48 PM (GBKbO) ------------------- It's all relative, just look at what else is in his party. Somebody who throws around threats like that is no moderate in anyone's world. Posted by: Decaf at March 20, 2025 05:44 PM (unUNN) 285
266 a guess: someone writes a check based on some treasury account and when the check is deposited in the recipient's account, the treasury just pays it. with the gov't spending and debt out of sight what difference does it make?
Posted by: gnats local 678 at March 20, 2025 05:40 PM (CWTWj) Well obviously that happens all day every day. But no, I think what Musk is saying is much darker -- that there are computers, not on the central network, that have the ability to write checks without any money to cover them and the checks clear. In other words, completely off the books money. In other words, it's like the treasury has their own, secret printer that can print up currency but that money doesnt show up on any of the books and it's basically just injecting counterfeit money in to the system. Except it's being done digitally. Posted by: Harry Paratestes at March 20, 2025 05:45 PM (uCjyK) 286

DOE was established in 1979 by president carter. Not gonna say that public schools started their sharp decline then as it had been going on for some years before, but when DOE got rolling the downhill slide got way steeper.

Very possible. Interesting Marco has more approval right now.
Posted by: whig at March 20, 2025 05:21 PM (ctrM5) I think it is because his approach at the very beginning was to not argue or lecture, it was to just walk in and essentially stab someone. Rubio has a history, and he ran for president once. He is very DC, and plain spoken. Vance looks like the guy down the street with the noisy kids. Might be good, might be trouble. @greg_price11 Liberals in America have been reduced to flipping off random people in Teslas POV: You drive a pink cyber truck and get harassed daily by strangers because of something that has nothing to do with you. ----- That's there grand plan which is a repeat of 2017, 2020 and so on. They ramp up in tiers with the end goal to discourage independents, minorities, youth, etc. from engaging in a 'normal' political process. 😒 Check your state to see when local, state voting begins anew. 277 maybe canada can just become a commonwealth like puerto rico. they'd get a seat in the house of representatives
Posted by: gnats local 678 at March 20, 2025 05:42 PM (CWTWj) _______________________________ I'll tell you what they're doing, and it's what you would expect from their Liberal govt (which will be extended because Carney will be elected officially). Just yesterday, Carney lined up the Carbon goals to match the EU. Why? Well, because they are going to renegotiate CETA (Canadian EU Trade Agreement) and the reason it took over a decade the first time was because the agreement didn't "mirror" each other. But, the Carbon goals now match. They'll fine tune other goals to make sure the CETA is a "mirror" agreement to EU regulations, and then try to cut the US out of trade on Agri and lumber. But, it won't work out like they think because the EU is going down the trash disposal as well and they won't have the resources to make a dent. I really think things are about to get nasty in the EU financially, civilly and politically. Posted by: Orson at March 20, 2025 05:49 PM (dIske) 299

And big banks (or all banks) can create money via their "10% reserve" mandate. Which is nice (for them, usually). So those fake dollars pushed out by the magic money machines could result in banks multiplying it by 9X.
I could have just borrowed a million, put it in Amazon, or GOOG, and paid down the loan with withdrawals from my massive stock gains. If I ever lost, I just declare bankruptcy. (and that is the mentality of many of the very rich players (if they didn't lost it all in the 2000? or so crash). My old daytrader online friend shorty was much braver/smarter than I was ... said to have bought a nice sailing boat and sailed the world after his late 90's profits. On the AWFLs being so different in the poll from other white voter demos:
AFAIK, nobody mentioned abortion. That has been the hill they choose to die on for decades. Abortion IS politics to a lot of them. The fact that sane people no longer consider "A Woman's Right to Choose!" in danger doesn't change that. It's the foundation stone of their world view. If you listened to Schumer, and I forgive you if you didn't because his voice makes me want to wrestle a thirty year old woman for her antidepressants and Midol, he told us his plan. Schumer's plan is to drive Trump's negatives to below where the Democrats' are. If nobody goes to vote MAGA then the Dems and RINOs win by default.

Posted by: Warai-otoko at March 20, 2025 04:48 PM (KtIIi) Trump is inside their decision loop, and Dems have to synchronize the MESSAGE to all their operatives. I didn't say he was a moderate, I said he's the voice of moderation in comparison to the barking mad wing. Of course, he's trying to fight off the left wing, because he's competent enough to know those people will destroy the party, but it's obvious his heart isn't in it. His condemnation of everything Trump is about as convincing as his grilling skills.
Posted by: Archimedes at March 20, 2025 04:51 PM (xCA6C) Schumer is the tail end of the Criminal faction, the rest are almost all Zealot Wing. They do crimes too but they are in the arson, riot, assassination line rather than sneak out a good living on USAID theft. The Zealots need the criminals to finance them, but increasingly do not listen to them when told you need to hide what you are doing so the voters will still vote for you.
