Usually what happens is the subsequent president will allow an extended period of SS security on government officials. For, example, Chelsea Clinton got an additional 6 months. The Bush sisters got an extension of an undisclosed period, but you have to take the world events into consideration on that one (9/11 and all that). Dick Cheney as VP got an additional six months as is standard. Former Presidents get 10 years extension.

Personal experience. The best and longest lasting canned food is kept cool or cold (never frozen). 10 year old items eaten with no problems. If it was stored warm, it may be good, but it will go bad faster and have a strong metallic flavor, even plastic lined modern cans. Canned chili and meats tend to have the most off-putting metallic taste.

Impeachment of judges is an ineffective waste of time. If the GOP was serious about this (and it's not), it would use the budget to defund the judiciary in large part: no staff or clerks, no junkets, no Westlaw (relearn to Sheperdize judges), no new courthouses, no COLA or other pay adjustments. It could make life absolutely miserable for judges. The executive could augment by making no new appointments of magistrate judges or district court nominations to increase the workload.
That all can be done without any substantive revisions of the law, like restricting jurisdiction to hear certain kinds of cases, requiring three-judge panels for certain kinds of cases, or making certain kinds of appeals direct to the supreme court with mandatory jurisdiction - all of which are good ideas in their own right. If the GOP wanted, it could bring the judiciary to heel in ways that are unreviewable and require only a simple majority.
