The Classical Saturday Morning Coffee Break & Prayer Revival

31525.jpg

[Classical? Perhaps!]

*****

Although I gave up sympathy and empathy for Lent. You are still blessed to have yours truly here today.

Before we enter the Prayer Revival there are just a few housekeeping matters to take care of. (Rulz for those of you in Eagle River)

1. This is an Open Thread. Feel free to lurk, opine and/or bloviate.
2. Be Kind, Be Nice! And no jumping from the furniture onto an unsuspecting creature.
3. If you are running with sharp objects, I have several trees which need to be felled.
D. Have a great weekend!!!

AoSHQ Weekly Prayer List

Please submit any prayer requests to me, “Annie’s Stew” at apaslo atsign hotmail dot com. Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks unless we receive an update.

Prayer Requests:

1/4 – Smell the Glove asked for prayers for an 80 year old aunt. The aunt was diagnosed with colon cancer and started treatment this week.
2/22 Update – Prayers for all of the Horde and their loved ones in need. The aunt is still hanging in there. Thanks for the prayers.

1/11 – Our Country is Screwed asked for prayers. He is having a double mastectomy. (He notes: Yes, male breast cancer is a thing!) He is fortunate that it appears to be localized. Another request is for an aunt (age 70+) who is facing lung cancer and having part of her lung removed. She is scared and needs prayers too.
3/1 Update – He is going to Dana Farber Cancer Institute this week. Radiation is definite, and chemo is not sure, but probably both. The cancer was caught in time and prognosis is great. It’s a lot of stress for Mrs. OCiS. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers. Prayer works. Their daughter had cancer last year, and now this – there is no way they could have gotten through all of this without prayers.

1/18 – Jrgunn77 requested prayers for health, which was fine a few months ago, but recently has been his with extremely high BP spikes, anxiety attacks, constant headaches, and hernia troubles. Jrgunn is on meds for the BP and anxiety, scheduled for a colonoscopy, and has referrals for a cardiologist and neurologist. These out of the blue anxieties are the worst. Jrgunn also asked for prayers for a friend from church, Rodney, who has recently suffered lung failure and is on oxygen, to come home from the hospital, and Pastor Ben and his brother, for comfort after the passing of their little sister from drug addiction.
3/8 Update – Pneumonia has cleared, and the neurologist is treating him for Parkinsonian tremor. The CT scan showed 3 hernias. The BP, head pressure, and physical strength is better and he was able to work a couple of hours. Rodney is awake, but has intestinal bleeding. They are still waiting for test results, and if they are bad, he will be knocked off the transplant list. He’s still on 100% oxygen.
3/8 Update – Lester Fahrner posted that BP spikes and anxiety needs lab and urine tests for carcinoid tumor and pheochromocytoma.

1/18 - Teresa in Fort Worth said she could use some more Horde prayers. She had a CT scan on Monday. The largest tumor has not increased, but at least 4 others have quadrupled in volume, despite 2 rounds of chemo. Her third round of chemo stats on Wednesday. So far, she’s had exceptionally light nausea which has been controlled with medication, which is a blessing.
3/4 Update – Teresa’s eyes are back to normal, so she can restart the targeted therapy treatment (at the lower dosage). This is GREAT news, as the medication seems to be working his gangbusters.

1/25 – Sal asked for prayers for a couple he volunteers with. The husband, a retired pastor, has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure. They are both in their mid-80s and surgery is not an option for him.
2/15 Update – Please continue prayers for Pastor Bill, who is very discouraged with the complications from his tests and procedures, and for his wife, who is his main caregiver at home.

1/25 – Grammie Winger asks for prayers that everything goes well, as Rev finally has his colostomy reversed this week.
2/19 Update – Rev is back in the hospital. At his follow-up appointment on 2/18, the surgeon sent him to ER. They said he had AFib and his blood pressure was bad, 80/39. Grammie Winger would appreciate prayers.
2/22 Rev is back home from hospitalization 2.0. They send thanks for the prayers.

1/31 – Bif Bewalski gave an update on Smash. The blood work confirmed that she does not have pancreatitis. They gave her fluids, 3 types of digestive system meds via IV, and then ignored her for 8 hours. Anyway, she is home and feeling better.
3/1 Update – Smash update: still having some distressing abdominal and digestive issues. Gastro specialist appointment is the 3rd week of March, and that’s just the new patient appointment. She can eat soft, easy to digest food in small portions, but still has swelling, gas, etc. Thank you all for the prayers.

2/8 – MammaB asked for prayers. She said she needs surgery, and has been preparing for it for several months, jumping through the hoops put up by the clinic and insurance. Last Wed. she was told everything was complete and she could have surgery in 8-10 weeks. On 2/7, the surgeon’s office threw up another roadblock, one that is very difficult to manage. She is feeling discouraged and asks for the Horde’s prayers.
3/1 Update – On 2/24, the surgeon agreed to her surgery. On 2/28, she received insurance authorization, and it is scheduled for 3/26. Thank you all for your prayers. She has had months of jumping through hoops.

2/15 – FenelonSpoke requested prayers. She thinks that the church hierarchy is wanting her out, so they can close her church and take the money from the sale of the land (which technically belongs to the denomination anyway). They are a small congregation, but they love one another. Even if the denomination doesn’t close the church, a new pastor would not be helpful at this point.

2/15 – Cannibal Bob posted his thanks, to God and the Prayer Warriors here. He had posted under the name “Diddly Squat” about severe pain in his legs, and it was sent on to the prayer list. After several misdiagnoses, he was told he would probably lose his leg above the calf. After more research, Heidi found a genius surgeon in Albuquerque. Cannibal Bob has had surgery and will continue to have full use of his leg. He says he is convinced it is due to the Prayer Warriors here. Thank you all. God is great, and so are you.

2/15 – Ben Had asked for continued prayers for Jim Sunk New Dawn. He hasn’t been on the ONT for a while now.
2/22 Update – Doof heard from Jim SND and posted an update. Jim SND says he is doing OK and is in good spirits, all things considered. He’s just struggling to keep up with things here on the blog due to physical limitations. Doof plans to keep checking on him. Jim SND definitely appreciates our prayers and support.
3/7 Update – Jim Sunk New Dawn sent an update to Weird Dave. Jim SND sends his greetings and thanks for the prayers. He can’t reply to everyone; his 80 wpm is now about 8. He can barely type, and chewing is even tough. He says he is a walking skeleton. He is getting full benefits from the VA, so that helps with ADA mods to the house, healthcare, etc.

2/15 – screaming in digital posted an update on her mother. Mom was deemed eligible for LTC benefits after 1 appeal. (Thanks again to Grateful for advice in bolstering the appeal!) She submitted the first claim a couple of weeks ago. She hasn’t received the funds yet, but the online system says it was approved. They are looking at assisted living options now. Screaming in digital realizes Mom can’t live with her indefinitely, despite her continued sweetness and (usual) cheerfulness.

2/18 – Teresa in Fort Worth asked for prayers for her husband’s niece, Amanda, who has just been put on the waiting list for another new heart. After 4 years with her first donor heart, her body is starting to reject it. She is only 40 years old, and has had heart issues her entire adult life. Please pray that Amanda’s body would stay well long enough for her to have another transplant. And also prayers for the family of this as-yet-unknown donor. Amanda knows full well what her receiving a new heart “means” to the donor family.
3/4 Update – Amanda still needs prayers. St. Luke’s cannot give her a second heart, so they have turned to Methodist in Houston, hoping that they will be able to handle her complex case.

2/22 – Tonypete requested prayers for his wife’s friend. The friend’s pos husband of 30 years died 3 years ago. He was a real monster. She’s relieved he’s gone but has all sorts of feelings of inadequacy and a wasted life. Ugh.

2/22 – neverenoughcaffiene asked that we keep 3 week old Isaac in our prayers. RSV has him intubated and in the ICU. His parents and 5 sisters could use a few prayers as well.
3/1 Update – Baby Isaac is out of ICU and doing great. He and his mom will stay with relatives when he’s released since the rest of the family has the flu. Thank you all for your prayers, we all know they work miracles.

2/22 – NaughtyPine requested prayers for the children that were rescued in Pontiac, Michigan, after their mother abandoned them for years. Not only do they need prayers, but also the mother (to repent) and family members who were put off by her lies and despise themselves for not doing more.

2/22 – J asked for prayers for help. He has been on probation for almost 8 years, and is very frustrated by it all. He has worked hard to improve himself and follows all the rules and restrictions, and he is tired by being demeaned and being treated as subhuman.

2/27 – Ciampino’s daughter asked for prayers for Ciampino. They are not sure what is wrong yet, but they had to call an ambulance to take him to the hospital. He was very weak and couldn’t walk or even stand up. The hospital has been giving him fluids, and he is more responsive now. Thank you for the prayers.
3/1 Update – Cysts in the kidneys, a large one to be removed with surgery so it no longer affects the GI tract.
3/7 Update – Still in the hospital. Can’t sleep, 2-3 hours max. Still unsteady on his feet, probably from the double-pneumonia.
3/8 Update – Home now. Getting stronger, but still easily winded. Finally had a long sleep. Thank you all for your prayers. Love you.

2/27 – Katja requested prayers for Karla, who is in her 20s and in need of a miracle and/or a kidney donor, as hers are in stage 4 kidney failure. Her family is trying to find a donor because if she’s just added to the general list, it looks like a wait of 4-5 years, and it’s extremely questionable whether she can wait that long.

3/1 – antisocial justice beatnik would appreciate some prayers for Mom, who is continuing to suffer terribly from a botched medical procedure back in mid-Dec. Mom was rushed from her rehab facility to ER on 2/28, then back to the hospital that botched her care in Dec. Antisocial justice beatnik and Dad are doing their best to support her and each other, but Dad has his own existing medical issues to worry about, and AJB’s FMLA is running out.
3/8 Update – Mom is stable but continues to suffer with a horrific bed wound and blood clots in her legs. She will be bedridden for the foreseeable future. Dad is still having medical issues but is still mobile. AJB and Dad still take shifts to visit Mom. AJB also figures s/he will be looking for another job soon, so has found a resume and will start applying.

3/1 – Madam Mayhem sent her thanks for the prayers for her niece’s husband, T, a young man in his 30s. We had prayed for him after his heart attack. He has recovered and there was only minimal damage. She also asked for prayers for Hubbymayhem, who is battling kidney stones and a UTI. The urology center did not catch it right away – they did scans for stones and bladder cancer instead of a simple urine culture. The antibiotics are underway, but he’s been suffering with it for a while.
3/8 Update – Thanks to everyone for the prayers for Hubbymayhem. He is recovered and back to his usual ornery and lecherous self! Thank God!

3/1 – Jewells send an update – she had surgery on her arm. A week after that, she came down with influenza A and pneumonia. So she has been pretty sick and weak.

3/1 - thefritz requests prayers for his friend Jeff, his wife, and two children. Jeff’s pancreatic cancer has spread to his liver. They have stopped chemo and moved him to home hospice.

3/3 – Lizzy requested prayers for her father, whose health has taken a dive. They were taking him to the hospital, but it may well be that his body is exhausted, and the fight is over.

3/6 – Bulg asked for prayers. He is planning to send a conciliatory letter to his only sister, who has been estranged for 20 years. There had been a family breakup over the parents’ estate. The sister has begun communicating with Bulg’s brothers, so he is going to try and reestablish contact. Prayers that his attempt will be successful are appreciated.

3/6 – Toad-O asked for prayers for a son-in-law, his mother, and the rest of the family. The mother is in the hospital with severe lung damage and her survival is uncertain. The mother’s mother just died of a similar illness. Also, her husband is also in the hospital with a ruptured colon. All of these things hit in the same week, and the impact has been devastating. A miracle is desperately needed.
3/8 Update – The mother passed away on 3/8, on her 61st birthday. As you can imagine, the family is devastated. Prayers for comfort in this time of sorrow are requested.

3/8 – Misanthropic Humanitarian offered a prayer. “Dear Father, Thank you for sparing Donald J. Trump’s life in Butler, PA. Thank you for a President who loves his country and is trying to do everything he can to improve our citizens lives. We often come to you with our troubles and not to you as often as we should when we should be thankful. We pray through Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.”

3/8 - Tonypete asked for prayers for K and Mr. X. K started dating Mr. X, and he is a very nice gentleman, but he mentions his late wife in every other sentence. It’s starting to wear on K.

3/8 – Ben Had asked for continued prayers for AZ deplorable as he works to get his strength back.

3/8 – Retired Buckeye Cop asked for prayers for his younger brother, J. He has been a police officer at a local Catholic university for 26 years. Due to internal politics, the police chief has informed J that his position (Captain) is being phased out as of 6/30 and he needs to seek employment elsewhere. May J find a new job soon.

3/8 – Piper asked for prayers for a close friend who has breast cancer. It’s already at stage 3 when it was discovered. She has chemo, surgery, and radiation coming up. She is a mom, with a son age 12. Her husband is being a trooper, but it’s hard.

3/8 – Cosda posted good news. Two years ago, we prayed for a sister who had colon cacner and was undergoing surgery and chemo. That was successful. On 3/7, her checkup showed that she was still cancer free. Thank you for the prayers and thank God for the healing.

For submission guidelines and other relevant info, please contact Annie's Stew, who is managing the prayer list. You can contact her at apaslo at-sign hotmail dot com. If you see a prayer request posted in a thread comment, feel free to copy and paste it and e-mail it to Annie's Stew. She tries to keep up with the requests in the threads, but she's not here all of the time, so she may not see it unless you e-mail it to her. Please note: Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks or so unless we receive an update.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair, persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.

10 MisHum, I'm so glad you still are contributing here. I find your Saturday morning efforts to be a necessary moment of pause. Hopefully you've been able to put up the snowmobiles and restock your liquor cabinet before the spring mowing and season sets in. Wishing you the best.

In full eclipse, which lasted what, a half hour or so, it appears to be dipped in blood, the blood thinning as you go from bottom to top, pink up there, blood red at the bottom.

He got a nice telescope a few months ago and has become an avid amateur backyard astronomer.

Weather here says 62 today, then snow tomorrow. This coming week's going to look like a tachycardia rhythm, up, down, up, down.

Prayer offered for the list. All the best to them.

Trading my car in today. MAYBE. I consider there to be a non-zero chance I'm going to walk in there and and the guy's going to say, "Oh... Hey... It turns out we couldn't apply both of those rebates, so your actual payoff amount is going to be-- Hey, where are you going?"

Cowards die many times before their deaths.
The valiant never taste of death but once.
Of all the wonders that I yet have heard,
It seems to me most strange that men should fear,
Seeing that death, a necessary end,
Will come when it will come.

26 Morning, Horde...How goes it?

Power is still off for east side of town. I don't think they're going to get the power back on today. There are a fair number of power poles that have blown over (quite dangerously, too!)

They won't be able to do much real work until it's light enough to properly assess the damage from the storm.

Luckily, main roads are pretty clear and power is still on in the northwest section of town. Was able to fill my car up with gas (just in case).

I am in the office where I have food, water, power, and lots and lots of books to keep me entertained (I work in a library).

Didn't find anything local that fit my needs and budget, so Mr. Dmlw! started perusing Carvana. I narrowed down my choices Monday night, applied Tuesday morning, and had a car delivered Tuesday afternoon. They gave me $1700 for my 2010 Expedition, local dealer offered $500.

92 I have a minor Lenten miracle to report. My eldest daughter is back in Michigan, staying with friends, and looking for a place of her own. She visits the kids on Wednesdays and does "sleepovers" on weekends, and it mostly goes well.

On Ash Wednesday, I let her know there was a 9 a.m. Mass and that all of us were planning on going, and it would be nice if she could make it (my granddaughter is in the parish preschool and the whole school attends). She said she would try. We watched in vain for a long time, and were lining up to receive the Eucharist when she swept in, comforted the kids and then received the Host, which she has not done in many years.

Knowing that I tend to create my own opposition, I said nothing about it, but last night they were working on crafts in the kitchen and I noticed she had bought pizza. I had to check and she noticed and smiled. "Yeah, it's meatless. The person taking the order didn't get why I had the chicken taken off."

There is still much to be done, but these are promising signs.

Why can't I buy just a two-pack for $16 or so?

Eggs are still sky-high. I buy the WM brand of almost everything and still wind up with little cash in my wallet. And they didn't have a couple of things I needed; I'll need to run out to Aldi in about half an hour.

Anyway! It's Saturday, at least. I hope nobody has really bad weather today.

I've been busy the last couple of weeks, but I confess this whole business is confusing the hell out of me.

The CR is bad because it's the same pork and no spending cuts, but the Democrats oppose it reflexively, so they're going to shut the government down, which is actually good because Trump can then take a chainsaw to whatever he wants, but then the Democrats cave and vote for it, which is somehow also good, even though we're still pissing away all this funny money and now Trump can't do Trump stuff, but this is all still a win. Somehow.

The CR they voted for has nearly all their spending preserved and prevented Trump from unilaterally making all sorts of cuts, both of spending and "non=essential employees", so I don't get the rage. It feels more like a rage against losing the election than anything else, but I hope they fully indulge their anger.

136 We had a nasty storm come thru this morning. Power was out for a few hours. Some shingles blew off our roof. Now Hubbymayhem is on the roof with Thing One and Thing Two putting everything back as it should be. They are bothering the cat but sacrifices must be made. Cat will recover.

For a lot of people, the wife wants to spend more money than the husband. For we Mayhems that is reversed. Hubbymayhem will go buy something he needs to use right now even if he will never use it again. I always say nope! Thing One and Thing Two are less than a quarter of a mile away and have all the stuff. Borrow it! He doesn't like to do that because he worries that the borrowed item will get damaged and we will have to replace it so, just buy it. I say borrow it. This is why Hubbymayhem has the Things here. He borrowed an extension ladder from Thing Two. But then they both showed up with hammers and nails to help with the fixing.

My family is awesome!

Three issues: One is that the vaccination is about 80-90% effective, meaning a large portion of the population is not immune - whereas getting the disease does give 100% immunity
Another is that the vaccination does not give sufficient antibodies for the mother to pass on inherent immunity to the child, so children don't get that protection when they are born
The final is that it appears that the majority of the recent cases are traceable to the attenuated virus itself, that children vaccinated with the MMR shot are passing the virus to other children, the ones who were not immunized, that are too young to be immunized, and of course don't have innate immunity passed from their mothers.

156 >>The CR is bad because it's the same pork and no spending cuts, but the Democrats oppose it reflexively, so they're going to shut the government down, which is actually good because Trump can then take a chainsaw to whatever he wants, but then the Democrats cave and vote for it, which is somehow also good, even though we're still pissing away all this funny money and now Trump can't do Trump stuff, but this is all still a win. Somehow.

We are watching Trump take a chainsaw to things he doesn't like right now and being fought by the courts every step of the way. And these are Executive level actions that can be overturned by the next Democrat president.

The trick is to get things passed by Congress and that requires the government to be open. There are tools available like the Impoundment Act and budget reconciliation that can be used and only require a majority in both houses not 60 votes in the Senate.

DOGE is still identifying waste to be cut. I think this was just act 1 of a 2 act play.

One of the problems with watching government work other than most of them are repressible people is there are so many arcane rules and processes that have been built up over a couple hundred years that watching from the outside can be very confusing. Obviously, Trump wants to cut spending in a massive way so why is he happy about a clean CR that doesn't cut spending?

I see this with some organizations I belong to; the idea that an approved annual budget has already authorized and approved every expenditure within said budget.

Call me a old stick in the mud, but to me a budget is a spending and revenue plan, not spending approvals. If your Civic Association, from it's expected membership dues, budgeted $500 for the Independence Day Parade, then any and every purchase (balloons, decorations, supplies, etc.) still needs approval before undertaking that expense.

I get pushback on that from the more liberal / libertarian board members who think that the approved budget amount is a license to spend any and all up to that amount. Only spending over the budget amount needs its own approvals.

Autopens are considered legal signatures. When I worked for a state senator, one of my jobs was to gather up all the certificates and such, get a wet signature authorizing the autopen use, and then taking it over to the offices where they would run them off. It's pretty cool to watch.

They key is that there was a verification chain. We had to log in what was being signed. This notion that someone's just running the machine on their own is an actual scandal. Using autopens to grind out Eagle Scout commendations is not.

The age old problem in the federal government about who really runs the place. Congress thinks every dollar they appropriate must be spent by the Executive without question and has defeated every suggestion of a line item veto.

You get a business guy like Trump in the Oval Office and he wants to cut wasteful and moronic spending but he has to use the limited tools he has. Democrats impeached Trump in his first term claiming he paused and conditioned spending billions to Ukraine.

Democrats are having a meltdown about Schumer and handful of others caving on a clean CR. Does anyone really think those same Democrat senators would've voted for a CR with big spending cuts?

219 My budgetary point, which usually falls on deaf ears of Trustees, is that the revenues budgeted and approved in the prior October may not, in fact, have materialized by May of the following year when spending for the summer event starts.

Just because an expense was anticipated in the annual budget does not give it pre-approved spending authorization when the budget was approved in October prior year.

The problem is not that orthodox Christianity was too harsh, it was that it was too nice. All these people trying to soften communism, claim that they want the same things, when in fact they are setting themselves up for destruction.

Communism was beaten back because it was forcefully confronted, both physically and rhetorically. In the 1990s, that went away and "nice" Christianity took over. And failed. All the major Protestant denominations collapsed in some form. The Catholic Church is under siege from without and within.

The path forward is to call out sin using clear language. "Sex workers" are whores. Actors are prostitutes. Women who engage in unmarried sex are sluts. Homosexuality is decadent and depraved. No one is born gay. The children of gay couples are sold into slavery.

In the end, the failure to create something lasting is not success, it is not to be celebrated, it just needs to be reviewed for what works and what failed.
We defeated Spain and took Spain's colonies, a huge amount of the problems Spain faced was that it depended so heavily on the colonial administration of its colonies, and its vision of the world was colored by its traditions of being a world-striding empire, and the poverty and third world status was considered part of the cost of supporting the empire. When the colonies went away, so did the money and the pretext for the misery. There were two paths out, reactionary movements that turned inwards to rekindle the traditions of empire (and invade North Africa, natch) or turn outwards for a new role (and anarchism or the Comintern, natch). The first 30 years of the 20th century was about that struggle, politically. Franco's main success was being the best military leader, not the most devoted political player. Just beating an enemy doesn't work you have to win them over too. Franco and Pinochet did not manage that by and large.

This is controversial but in short, just because Congress raised the money, the Executive doesn't have to spend it. This is probably why the Dems are so mad right now.
---
But that's exactly what the judges that have ordered him to release funds have said.

That the "he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed" swallows the entirety of Article II because it mandates that the President must spend all the money exactly as the Legislative directs.

Rather than "faithfully executed" it is now "faithfully administered." That the President works for Congress.

And I agree... The Supreme Court won't do jack shit.
Posted by: Madame Mayhem (uppity wench) at March 15, 2025 10:47 AM (4XwPj)

So far though, their biggest accomplishment is getting cuts on paper. Honestly, I don't know how many of the "fired" people in the federal government are no longer getting paid. That they're actually fired and gone.

Is anyone tracking that?

We know this CR basically funded all the programs that have supposedly been cut. And it remains to be seen whether they will stop spending their allocations. Including, most glaringly, USAID. Are they really no longer doing all the things they were doing before?

I'd sure like to know.

266 To give an idea how their interpretation of the "take care" clause voids the rest of the Constitution:

By saying that the President must do as Congress directs via a law, they are saying, for example, Congress can pass a law that the President cannot pardon anyone.
Or that the President can only serve 2 years.
That the President be a black woman.

All of those would be mandatory--and binding on the President--if their interpretation is correct.

"But! But! That would be unconstitutional!"

Yes, and so are all the laws that are attempting to limit Trump's power and actions ....

The same fundamental problem(s) exist in the political arena too. The political issues that plague the capitol city can't be remedied with politics... run by corrupt politicians.

I think Trump kinda' sees this and is working outside the political framework with DOGE. It's pissing off all the right people, so he might be onto something.

288 So what does the clause mean? What you've always understood it to mean:
That only the Executive can enforce laws. To "execute" the laws is the sole province of the Executive.

And only that when the Executive does enforce the law--and he has full discretion on when--he must do so "faithfully" with said law.

Which, of course, we have seen, the interpretation of what the law says is always debated. With Presidents often issuing EOs saying, "this is how I interpret what the law directs/permits."

But no where in there did it nor does it contemplate that Congress can force the President to execute a law.
Except and only except via impeachment.
And the Courts absolutely, 100% have no fucking say at all as to whether the President must enforce or follow a law.
Impeachment is the sole Constitutional remedy for any acts or inaction of the President.
Oh, and not a one of these suing have standing to force Trump--only Congress.

Keep the faith. It is happening.

It's a bit more complicated and requires financial jiggling and requires more steps including Congress approval but the key change is that it removes the requirement of the Senate needing 60 votes to pass, removes the filibuster and allows for a simple majority to pass bills. Republicans now have a majority in the Senate.

If you go back and look at what Trump talked about on the campaign trail this was a frequent topic.

This isn't "last time". Trump was a political naif. He didn't have people on the inside. He had handlers. Those who were in the know and thought they could steer Trump any direction THEY wanted to go. When he set his heels and said we are going the direction he wanted to go, they stabbed him in the back and spooled up the resistance. They didn't expect Trump to recover from that. Any other politician would have scurried off to a hidey hole to lick his wounds and stay away from the scuffle. Trump isn't a politician. He's a patriot. And he does not like being forced to sit down and do as he is told. He does not like to lose especially when he was cheated. He does not like seeing his beloved country being ruined by greedy bastards who were invested, by the people, to do the peoples business but are only there to get rich.
