On the plus side, I was able to change out the front struts on the Volvo S-60 sedan yesterday.
About 2.5 hours in total, using IPD Volvo quick struts. Still have a knocking noise on bumps that was not resolved, so I need to get back under and look for whatever I failed to diagnose along with failed spring seats at 170,000 miles. But overall, the swap-out went better than I expected. Of course, straining a forearm muscle somehow, and basically now having about half the arm usage that I had before beginning to work on the car might be a drawback. Cloudflare has an option to block them with a tick-box. Many hosting companies have the same option. People need to use this feature and block the AI scrapers.
Many book authors have sued under copyright violations. A “snippet “ may be quoted for educational purposes, but whole texts may not be used if they are under copyright protection. I expect, eventually, AI will lose in court, but it will be “oh well, can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube.” AI sucks. Posted by: Ann at March 14, 2025 05:13 AM (hnH9a) 33

This is pretty inside baseball, but Steven Hayward ( not to be confused with Jonah Goldberg-adjacent Steve Hayes ) is leaving Powerline ( amicably, to pursue other projects ) . John Hinderacker will now be responsible for the Week In Pictures.

No, the labor cost savings is constant. The injury is an infrequent event. That was probably close to $600.00 in labor savings. And then the EU will void the election because people in Greenland "didn't really understand what they were voting for" and they will hold a new election until the correct result is achieved. I don't pretend to understand the Greenland gambit.
1. Greenland voted for independence from Denmark. The vote was split between the "right fucking now" party and the "in good time" party - I don't know which came out on top or how it'll all be resolved. 2. Greenland has expressed some interest in being associated with the US but probably not as a possession. 3. We're interested in Greenland because of it's location as a geographic anchor in the artic close to us plus the fact that China is VERY interested in Greenland for the same reasons. True, but that is at the whim of the cat, for they (if sleeping with you on the bed) can create a force that holds you to the bed even if you want to get up. This is known as "Cat gravity". Posted by: Grumpy and Recalcitrant at March 14, 2025 07:18 AM (O7YUW) 163
