Disney's Snow Woke Expected to Tank at Box Office as Projections Keep Falling

As we suspected: Only about 20% of the country favors this constant woke propaganda. Unfortunately, it turns out that it's the woke propaganda enthusiasts who control all the media.

But the public has had it up to their eye teeth in woke and won't be having it any longer.

Snow White has more than just poisonous apples to worry about, judging from the upcoming movie's revised box office forecast. The live-action re-imagining of Disney's animated classic is already facing an uphill battle thanks to all the controversy swirling about the Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler-led film. However, now the most recent projections indicate that Snow White could make far less than the $63 million to $70 million originally predicted back in early February.
Well, according to a new report published by The Hollywood Reporter, Snow White is now eyeing a more modest neighborhood of $48 million to $58 million domestically. Originally, long-range forecasts published by Boxoffice Pro indicated director Marc Webb's take on the beloved character might make somewhere between $65 million to $85 million, and, even on the low end, that window was much more promising than the new numbers in the revised forecast.

Disney has its abrasive woke non-star Rachel Zegler on lockdown, almost certainly because they know she's a toxic person who will hurt the film's prospects even further if she's allowed to publicly run her giant yap.

With just days to go before the release of its live-action Snow White remake, Disney is drastically reducing its usual Hollywood premiere spectacle. The studio is still hosting an event on March 15 at the El Capitan Theatre, but it won't include the extensive red carpet and media presence typically associated with a major Disney release. Instead, only photographers and a house crew will be allowed to cover the event, with no traditional press interviews taking place.
Disney has not commented on this shift, but even Variety acknowledges that this decision comes amid ongoing controversy surrounding the film. The move follows months of backlash and marketing missteps, making it clear that Disney is playing defense as the film nears its March 21 theatrical release.

Disney's Snow White has been a public relations nightmare from the start, but now, it seems the controversy has gone beyond bad trailers and box office projections. The two lead actresses, Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler, appear to be on completely opposite sides of one of the most divisive global conflicts of our time--and it may be showing in more ways than one.
At an Anti-Defamation League (ADL) event this week, Gadot received the ADL International Leadership Award and delivered a passionate speech affirming her support for Israel and condemning what she sees as growing hostility toward the Jewish community. The speech comes just months after Zegler posted "#FreePalestine" while promoting the Snow White trailer, directly tying the Disney film to her stance on the Middle Eastern conflict.

While Gadot never directly mentioned Zegler, the timing, wording, and strong rebuke of those who "celebrate hostility" certainly feel like a pointed response.
And if that wasn't enough, the tension between the two actresses became even more obvious when they appeared together at the Academy Awards this week.

When the pair presented an award together at the Oscars, people noticed they stood as far apart as possible and did not make eye contact with each other.

They seemed ashamed to encounter each other in public, like when you run into your brother-in-law at a porno store. Or so I am told.

BTW, a movie out right now, Mikey 17, is a derivative, messy, boring TDS Meth Nightmare.

Critical Drinker mentions The Sixth Day as also featuring a clone that's printed off before the person who's been cloned has died.

Not just that one. The very good movie Moon featured Sam Rockwell as a lunar base supervisor who is presumably killed while out farming Lithium-3 from the Moon's soil. His clone is activated, and then recovers the still-living body of the man he was cloned from. He didn't know that he was being cloned.

I'm sure it's much better than this piece of shit. Really good practical special effects of Lithium-mining rigs driving around the Moon's surface.

Massive shakeup at the top of WB.
The two executives in charge of the studio under Zaslav are being replaced by the co-CEO of DCU (not Gunn, the other guy).
This is after WB has been spending ungodly amounts of money on original films that are failing (including Mickey 17). The newest thing is Maggie Gyllenhal's remake of The Bride of Frankenstein which cost $100 million and has apparently screened so poorly another executive is being charged with "fixing" it and has nowhere to go to make it better.
For all the shitting on Zaslav, he's been betting big on being different and giving resources to creatives to do what they want. He's just gotten all of the terrible creatives.

Warner Bros. was known historically as a place that allowed you to make the film you wanted to make. Unless you were making a DC movie, in which case they first granted you that leeway and then completely took it back.

I mean, they let Todd Philips burn $200 million in cash to make a F-Off movie to fans of the first Joker movie.

I guess that is going to change.

Total cost = $475 million.

Theaters take an average of about 40% of all ticket sales, so in order to make a profit, Snow White needs to make just about $800 million.

A $48 million opening is not going to lead to that.

The difference is that the B-movies actually kept the lights on. Streaming, where most of the content goes now, is actually not keeping the lights on.

My daughter was young at the zenith of Disney animation; Lion King, Aladin, Pocahontas, Toy Story...
Quite a decade or so of goodwill they built up and live on to this day.
But like all the other woke crap, once you see it, you can't unsee it and it colors everything they do.
I don't know what it would take to rebuild lost audience or if they even have lost audience, but they lost me.

They don't bother doing good action. They put it in just to show it in the trailers.

Mickey 17 is a stupid parody/farce comedy. They put in some half-hearted non-interesting "action" because it's only action movies and pseudo-action-movies that have a chance of becoming a blockbuster.

Meanwhile, there are almost no real action movies. It's always a stupid hybrid "comedy action" thing where it's not funny enough to be a comedy and not exciting or bloody enough to be an actioner.

The only hybrid action movie I want to see is action-adventure, where the "adventure" is just hanging off a cliff and banging some broad.

The evil stepmother has always been told by -- her mirror, I guess, as if a mirror has anything to do with fairness -- a scale would have been more logical -- that SHE is the fairest. And it even started out weak, then word of mouth got out and it took off. People were very leery of anything Marvel puts out by that point. The Daredevil viewer numbers are very low right now, sort of shockingly low, and its supposed to be not awful.

But DC is in a different place. They haven't put out a long run of shockingly insulting crap, just bad stuff. I think people kind of feel like DC is the underdog and want to see the do well.

Confession: I never liked the Daredevil show. Oh, a part here or there. The fight against Bullseye in the office of the NY Bulletin was uh-maz-ing.

There was a question as to why it was easier to clone workers than send them up and retrieve them, I always felt it was because the Moon is a terribly unhealthy place with lots of free radicals and radiation, and treating your employee like a carnival goldfish was cheaper than actually creating a safe workplace for him.

I double-dipped on "The Monkey", returning to see it again a week later, which is something I never do.

Yep. The gaming community has gotten a huge surge of nostalgia, largely driven by terrible (and expensive) new content and the re-building of beloved old games to run on new platforms.

Game companies have been gouging people for a long time, and every year it gets worse with unfinished games being released, and the rest of the game released as DLC, loot boxes, and increasing use of ongoing costs rather than buying a complete game and playing it. The game is almost unplayable unless you buy stuff out of the store for real money, etc.

People are just sick of it.

I think it’s also to cater to a younger phone-obsessed and mostly female audience. Watch a movie with a 20-something girl. Even if they pick out the movie, and even if they LIKE the movie, they’ll spend half the movie texting on their phone. So I think movies add in lotsa filler to cater to this.

The death of movies had a lot of money pour into AAA gaming and a lot of that was poured into increasing the tech of the games by throwing artists at it working on massive games with intense graphics. That would be unsustainable in itself, but the kicker was the woke invading and making the stories of the games themselves distasteful with bad or woke writing.
