Ukraine Agrees to 30 Day Ceasefire; Rubio Will Take the Deal to Russia

Either Russia accepts or they reveal that the negotiations are pointless.

Eric Daugherty
@EricLDaugh

SECRETARY OF STATE MARCO RUBIO: We've offered Ukraine an immediate ceasefire. They accepted. We will now take this to the Russians. The ball is now in their court.

Video of the announcement here. I can't embed it because Twitter may have disabled embeds, given the mass denial-of-service attack on them.

Which Elon Musk said was made by IPs originating in Ukraine.

Clay Travis
@ClayTravis

Ukraine has agreed to a 30 day ceasefire. Incredible work by Trump team. Now if Russia agrees, Trump may have gotten cease fires in the Middle East and Europe in his first 60 days. Nobel Peace Prize worthy:

Meanwhile...

US Homeland Security News
@defense_civil25

Update: US Agency for International Development (USAID) has been implicated in funding a Ukrainian organization, Molfar, which labeled Vice President J.D. Vance and other US officials and public figures as "foreign propagandists" aligned with Russia, according to an investigation by The Grayzone.

Molfar, established in 2019, describes itself as an open-source intelligence community platform which "collects lists of Ukrainian enemies to bring war criminals to justice." The group's website identifies USAID and the US Civil Research and Development Fund (CRDF) as partners, indicating financial and operational support from US government agencies.

Bonus: This sniveling foreign agent again.

Mike Benz claims that 90% of Ukrainian language media (and Russian language media is illegal in Ukraine, so we're talking pretty much all of the media in Ukraine here) is funded by the US govt.

Much of it through USAID.

The same Ukrainian media running 24/7 propaganda for Z, and calling Trump and Vance traitors and saying the war must go on forever.

Food for thought.

Zelensky is a pawn.

If the CIA tells him to shut up and take the deal, he will.

And if they're doing that, the deep state is taking a loss on this one, but they will be back in force for the next war.

I'd anticipate that that should pop off in the next year or so. Where are we thinking for the next one? Middle East seems overplayed. Asia maybe? Do we need to send troops to fight for freedom in Myanmar? What's their alleged rare earth mineral situation looking like these days?

We know what Putin wants. He has been clear from day one what he wants.

No NATO on his border. Independent Ukraine (without CIA led coups and CIA funded media), and the ethnic Russian parts of Ukraine that voted to leave Ukraine and join Russia stay part of Russia.

Russia could have destroyed Ukraine 100 times over by now if they wanted to. Clearly that's not part of the plan.

This is how wars end. The stronger country either destroys the weaker country completely, or much more commonly, they sue for peace and come to an agreement.

Well, other than WWII, where we demanded complete surrender.

But I think the reason Ukraine has to be a real redline for Russia is geography.

Ukraine is a very flat, open field country. It's how troops and tanks get from Europe to Russia easily.

The Europeans, their Deep States and their intel agencies were just as in on the plan as our Deep State and our intel agencies.

Trump is trying to end the war that they want.

That's why Z is in an unwinnable position. He's got the US and Euro Deep Staters in one ear and Trump in the other.

That's what he was talking about in that presser w/ Trump when he said "we will put pressure on you."

Anyways, that is the backdrop to all of this. This is Trump vs. Deep State, Z is a literal actor hired for this role.

Right now, it looks like Canadians are all "Battle of Queenston Heights" and other such things dating back to the War of 1812. Quite boring and relics of a bygone age. Like Quebec. The US is getting its house in order and addressing trade disputes is on the card. Buck up Canada, it's going to be a rough ride.

450 Based on my extremely simple look at maps, it seems as though the battle lines of the war have largely remained the same since 2022.

Advances and retreats here and there, but something like 95% of the land Russia grabbed in 2022 hasn't changed hands at all.

Since I've been ignoring the war's ins and outs since the beginning, this could be quite wrong. Tell me if I'm right or wrong.
Posted by: TheJamesMadison, leading the proletariat with Eisenstein at March 11, 2025 02:56 PM (GBKbO)

Russia doesn't care about taking land. The terrain was pretty rough and Ukraine had 8 years to build forts. The 100 percent visiblity of movement and the ability to destroy targets on roads makes those 'big arrow' offensives that people think of impossible. NATO's big offensive in 2023 was smashed before it even hit the first bit of entrenchment. Units had to be consolodated because they had lost 50 percent of the vehicles before seeing any Russians.

Russia has worn down air defense and Ukraine artillery so that they can pretty easily pass through lines for short bounds, then surround defensive positions and reduce them with modest losses for them and high casualties for Ukraine

462 The claimed Canada tariff numbers are misleading, at least in some respects. Dairy products, for example. Canada has a supply management system to keep their dairy farmers in business. Dairy imports from the US are subject to a 7.5% tariff until a certain ceiling is reached, at which point the tariffs begin to increase, eventually topping out at some outrageous number like 250%.

Unfortunately, Canada is gaming its import quota allocation system. Instead of allocating to manufacturers, retailers, or others who would utilize the quotas and use US dairy, Canada allocates most of its USMCA US dairy quota to Canadian dairy co-ops and other Canadian dairy farmer led groups that are against US imports (doing so year-after year, even when no quota volume is used). As such, most of the US USMCA dairy quota volume goes unused because the holders purposefully do not use it. Meaning more relevant US dairy product is subject to the higher out of quota tariff rates than should actually be the case (or would appear to be if looking at just the USMCA quota volumes Canada agreed to provide for US dairy).

469 I used to believe that: "Putin is a thug!".
I mean, everyone knew this was plainly true. All you had to do was just ask... well, any red-blooded American who had an opinion of Putin would tell you he was bad guy. So, being the good, red-blooded American that I am, I started parroting that line too. No less than Fred Barnes and Billy Krystol (of the Weekly Standard) assured us that the man had no soul! And even gentle Jonah Goldberg said Putin was a very bad man!
Then I read a couple of articles by Patrick J. Buchanan circa 2014, and he wrote about Putin in fairly neutral terms as a leader defending the interests of Russia. That's odd, I thought. Everyone knows Putin is pure evil.
So then I started to research Putin. Should be easy enough to find a publicly verifiable receipt on something plainly evil this soulless man has done.
- NOPE! No. Such. Receipt. Exists.

The only reason to believe that Putin is a brutal thug hell bent on European domination is because the CIA and the Neocons baselessly assert that he is. - Which ought to make one wonder, "Hey, maybe the guy's not so bad after all."
