I'm exactly 50," the woman says happily. A little while later she goes into McDonald's and asks the counter girl the very same question. The girl replies, "I would guess about 29." With a big smile, the woman replies, "Nope, I'm 50." Now she is feeling really good about herself. While waiting for the bus to go home, she asks an old man waiting next to her the same question. He replies, "Lady, I am 78 and my eyesight is going. Although, when I was young there was a sure-fire way to tell how old a woman was. It sounds very forward, but it requires you to let me put my hands under your bra. Then, and only then I can tell you EXACTLY how old you are." They wait in silence on the empty street until her curiosity gets the better of her. She finally blurts out, "What the hell, go ahead." He slips both of his hands under her blouse and begins to feel around very slowly and carefully. He bounces and weighs each breast and he gently pinches each nipple. He pushes her breasts together and rubs them against each other. After a couple of minutes of this, she says, "Okay, okay.....How old am I?" He completes one last squeeze of her breasts, removes his hands, and says, "Madam, you are 50." Stunned and amazed, the woman says, "That was incredible, how could you tell?" "I was behind you at McDonalds." The majority of people will touch her boobs for good luck, that's a misogynistic tradition. A lot of people clamour around her, kiss her on the cheek, kiss her boobs, it's all inappropriate. It's reducing her to this derision and not giving her the status of being a national treasure. I walk by the Oscar Wilde statue in Merrion Square every day. You don't see people rubbing his crotch for good luck. With the Statue of David, if you were to grope him, people would feel that's inappropriate and offensive. But when the same happens to Molly Malone, they don't even think twice. ![]()

My best friend has been an avid sailor and fisherman all his life. He decided after college to spend his life doing what he was good at and what he loved. So while the rest of us where doing the rat race he opened a boat service and sales business. And he worked his ass off. When he wasn't working his job he was racing sailboats all over the world and fishing.
He sold his business and he's now retired and splitting his time fishing in the keys and hanging out up here when he and his lovely wife feel like it. The 3 circles converge if you have the balls and talent to do it. Posted by: JackStraw at March 12, 2025 10:26 PM (LkLld) 75

This year, we have to pay all utilities, but the rent stayed the same. Today, it was announced that the company had struck a deal with Cox, and it is mandatory that we now use Cox internet.
I loathe Cox. They screwed me over a horrendous amount of money for my business internet. I can't begin to tell you how much I hate Cox. Not healthy really I think far too many embrace losing because it's easy to be cynical. It's much harder to be bold and fight. We are winning across the board against an entrenched enemy, and that's what they are, that has infested every part of our government that has oppressed us for decades. We won't win every battle because they own every lever of power, but we have the will of the people and a powerful team at the top who has risked everything to fight. And we are winning. It's well past time to stop whining and get behind them and ignore momentary set backs or demand everything happen immediately . We are going to lose more battles. Win the war. This was never going to be easy or happen in 5 minutes. Fighting for this country never ended with an election and it has never been about just the people we elect. The fight never ends. Authored by Richard Byno via RealClearDefense,
The humid air of the South China Sea clung to my skin as I peered through my binoculars, scanning the horizon. Our team was tracking a vessel suspected of transporting critical technology to a hostile nation. Suddenly, our target’s signature vanished from our screens. “Target lost,” my analyst called out, his voice tight with frustration. In that moment, I knew we were outmatched. Our adversary’s vessels, equipped with edge-processed AI systems, could analyze and react to pattern changes in seconds. Meanwhile, our “advanced” AI capabilities required reaching back to a server farm thousands of miles away. By the time we completed our manual cross-referencing of five different intelligence feeds, the target had vanished into the cluttered maritime environment. This wasn’t just another missed opportunity. It was a stark reminder of what I’ve witnessed repeatedly during my twenty years in special operations: America’s warfighters are falling dangerously behind in the artificial intelligence revolution. ... https://tinyurl.com/4mefx6md Posted by: Braenyard - some Absent Friends are more equal than others _ at March 13, 2025 01:15 AM (M78y+) 296
