Pass a law in California that gets boys out of girls' sports and get back to me.
Gov. Gavin Newsom on Friday issued an executive order to protect renters and homeowners hit hard by the Los Angeles County wildfires. The governor’s office said the order: Extends price gouging restrictions for rental housing, hotels and motels in the county until July 1. There are exemptions for large homes in zip codes with high fair market values that haven't recently been on the rental market, which the governor's office said will "help ensure they are available for rental during recovery efforts." Newly constructed housing is also exempted in order to allow price flexibility to cover higher financing costs. Continues the suspension of laws that would classify occupants of hotels, motels and temporary housing as tenants after 30 days, which the governor’s office said gives them more time to find alternative housing. . . The governor on Feb. 4 ended an anti-price gouging provision that limited the supply rentals in higher-end Los Angeles neighborhoods where fire-displaced families were searching for homes.Sounds bureaucratic.
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) February 21, 2025VDH wrote a piece on Our French Revolution in April of 2023. We are in a Jacobin Revolution of the sort that in 1793-94 nearly destroyed France. And things are getting scary. The Democratic Party vanished sometime in 2020. It was absorbed by hard-left ideologues. They were bent on radically altering, or hijacking, existing institutions to force radical, equality-of-result agendas that otherwise do not earn majority support. He wrote, The choice is ours. Even Gavin Newsom now seems to have now chosen against some of the French Revolution. You may be able to find another current VDH video expressing the "French Revolution" theme to share with those who recoil in terror from Elon Musk. I had one lined up, but it has gone private. To me the most astonishing thing about the Sturm und Drang over being forced to email the DOGE Detectives 5 things you did IN A WEEK, is the minuscule nature of the demand. Let me get this straight. No, really, because it is impossible for me to believe. I started working full-time – summers — when I was 14. Not even counting babysitting, which I began doing in 7th grade. Here’s how responsible I was at age 12: a family down the block with FIVE children under 7 left me alone with their children for 3 days while they went to a funeral in Iowa! (I got $15, more money than I had ever seen at one time in my life.) Somehow this is the week that the Memosphere decided that J.D. Vance needed to be the newest object of memortalization. (Yes, I made up that word.) I kept chanting to myself, “Musk. Not. Give. In!” (I see what you did there!) Democrats making fools of themselves during Trump’s address to Congress is just gravy. I haven’t seen a win streak like this since the 1972-73 Lakers. ![]() ![]() Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

For people who are not afraid of Elon Musk and "X", here is VDH comparing the Obama-Biden revolution to the French Revolution. Full of insights.
Trump's changes are not revolutionary, they are a counter-revolution or "restoration". They knew the revolution was near its end when Robespierre met his well-deserved end. I haven't seen any of that yet. Furthermore, the restoration didn't happen until Nappy B met his well-deserved end, or at least banishment. Posted by: Archimedes at March 08, 2025 11:18 AM (xCA6C) 16

'Newsom, Harris, Walz A buffet of worst...' You have to understand the mentality of the undecided voter. They're more easily fooled by a candidate's personality. And there will be at least a couple candidates who're not insane. Newsom can, when he wants to, speak coherently and leave out a lot of the "buzz words" so common with the left. Who would win, american CW troops or napoleon's troops?
https://tinyurl.com/ykt2zed4 The link cites 3 main considerations: technological superiority, tactical considerations, and leadership/experience. The Union army was clearly more technically advanced, and Napoleon's tactics did not keep up with the increased firepower in the CW. Finally, it's unclear if Napoleon was superior to Lee or Grant in leadership. Some say yes, some say no. A better question would be "all other things being equal, which troops were superior?". Not one Democrat in the House voted last week to keep men from competing in women's sports. Not one.
The problem the Democrats have is that the radical left controls a significant part of their base and instead of moderating they continue to go even further left. I think Newsom will suffer from the same problem many leftists encounter when they leave their deep blue bubble that guarantees them victory, Salty. Harris is an extreme case but the moment she ventured into the real world she got clobbered in elections. If you haven't seen it I would urge watching the debate Newsom did with DeSantis on Hannity. Hannity was surprisingly to the point and balanced with his questions and while Ron is not great in that format he had Newsom wearing his ass for a hat from the opening bell. I'm looking forward to the Vance vs Newsom race in 2028. After four years of peace, power, and prosperity, how is Newsom going to run against the Trump legacy? What is his case going to be vs Vance? We also know how Newsom answers awkward questions: by evasive maneuvers. This could have worked against Trump, who is no great debater himself, but it won't work against Vance in open debate. Vance addresses questions with facts and logic. What's going to be the big platform for Dems? The "destruction of our democracy" won't have happened as Trump leaves office, with America and American democracy stronger than ever. Granted, at least now, unlike the first round, these are going through our agency so at least there's a veneer of self-governance (at least at the agency level). It still remains highly unusual and I am convinced that these responses are being fed into Grok and will ultimately determine who's getting the boot during the ensuing reduction-in-force (RIF). Musk isn’t micromanaging anything, because he’s not a manager. He’s an outside consultant brought in by management to find waste and reduce headcount, just like the Bobs in Office Space.
In the private sector, this is not at all unusual. It’s something I was a part of at several companies. FedGov is way overdue for a MAJOR downsizing and DOGE is the tool for accomplishing that. WHY LIBs Fail: Give them Convenience or give them Death
A: They always choose both, because life does have meaning, and purpose -- those who make the effort succeed, death comes naturally for those who do naught, who merely exist in a life waiting to die. It this success which the LIBs detest the most: LIBs hate the man who has a dollar more than them because they truly believe that dollar belongs to them. LIBs would not only take you with them but insist on affording you the "courtesy" of going first. This is the point of them getting into the bunkers first, in times of crisis, not because they value their own lives, or have something to live for, but to displace those who actually do. Access to cheap goods is not the essence of the American Dream -- TreasSec Bessant This leaves LIBs with the horrifying inconvience of where to source their Avocado Toast Trump Doge/Chaos is not without purpose, which LIBs can never fathom, because their ceaseless quest for the unearned remains forever ceaseless because the Value, illicitly obtained, retains no value Ambitious Men cannot be Ruled, nor Productive people Stagnate. LIBs lack both, first into the bunker = VladDrakul's banquet! Posted by: MANFRED the Heat Seeking OBOE at March 08, 2025 01:22 PM (ACFSW) 169
Newsom Says CARB Has Run Its Course OH WOW. California Prepares For Federal Take Over Of Emissions
TK's Garage (YouTube): https://bit.ly/3Drq5F6 Posted by: Clyde Shelton ================ omg. So we see how he's going to run in 2028: as a fiery reformer. As a sweeper-away of cobwebbed old agencies. As a lover of efficiency and progress. He had YEARS to do these things in California and he didn't touch them until the handwriting was on the wall. JD, get ready! Newsom's only saving grace in any attempt to run for president is that he can, if he wishes, sound anything but insane. He's at least a bit more articulate than the previous batch of Democrats, which is a low bar, but it's something.
Plus, he can lie like nobody's business. Something most politicians are pretty good at, but his is an art. Posted by: Martini Farmer at March 08, 2025 01:24 PM (Q4IgG) 171

I'm a long-time Bakersfield gardener and lurker, first-time commenter. Gavin is running for President 2028. Look at this from his point of view. He is termed out and cannot run for California Governor in 2026. He can't have a Republican California Governor if he is running for President. He can't help a potential Democrat 2028 Presidential Challenger become California Governor either. Gavin will do anything to elect a weak puppet for Governor in 2026, not Kamala. Marco Rubio is not a NeverTrumper, either. He ran against Trump in 2016 and criticized him, but that doesn’t qualify him as NeverTrump. He endorsed Trump in 2016, and supported his presidency.
The NeverTrumpers were people who said they wouldn’t just oppose Trump in the 2016 primary, but that they would never support him, hence the name. Posted by: Disinterested FDA Director at March 08, 2025 02:26 PM (l3YAf) 196

ActBlue funders include George Soros, Reid Hoffman, Herbert Sandler, Patricia Bauman, and Leah Hunt-Hendrix. ActBlue is currently under investigation for allowing foreign and illegal donations in criminal violation of campaign finance regulations. Detroit Activist Brings 80 Citizens To DC To Plead With Lawmakers To Help Fix Stolen Elections In Their Crooked City: “The false narrative that only whites think elections are being stolen—that’s a fabrication!” [VIDEO]

Up to a dozen members of Congress reportedly have mental faculties so diminished they can no longer do their jobs — with some even showing up drunk or stoned to cast votes.
“There’s no question that somewhere between six and a dozen of my colleagues are at a point where they’re … I think they don’t have the faculties to do their job,” Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn) told Politico, which spoke to 25 members of the House and Senate who spilled the tea on their unnamed colleagues. A Republican colleague concurred, with an important addendum. ... “I have a difficult time sometimes telling between the deterioration of members and a handful who are just not very smart,” the unnamed lawmaker said. _Ludacris - Move B***H , playing in background Posted by: Braenyard - some Absent Friends are more equal than others _ at March 08, 2025 03:40 PM (yyCOq) 206
