Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Head of FBI's NY Field Office Resigns Under PressureHe was told to resign or be fired. He took the coward's way out. NBC "News" notes that the head of the office is a #Resistance operator. Dennehy had a high-profile battle with acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove last month, penning a defiant email to staffers urging them to "dig in" after officials tasked with investigating the Jan. 6 riots at the US Capitol were forced out of their roles. "Today, we find ourselves in the middle of a battle of our own, as good people are being walked out of the FBI and others are being targeted because they did their jobs in accordance with the law and FBI policy," the email read in part.I know what you're thinking and yes, the head of the FBI NY office is none other than deceased character actor Brian Dennehy in what may be his least-celebrated role. Well-spotted, Dennehy-Watchers! But this may be a more acute cause for his defenestration: The fact that he failed to follow the orders of AG Bondi in regards to the Epstein files. She wrote to Kash Patel about the insubordination of the FBI: Before you came into office, I requested the full and complete files related to Jeffrey Epstein. In response to this request, I received approximately 200 pages of documents, which consisted primarily of flight logs, Epstein's list of contacts, and a list of victims' names and phone numbers. I repeatedly questioned whether this was the full set of documents responsive to my request and was repeatedly assured by the FBI that we had received the full set of documents. Late yesterday; I learned from a source that the FBI Field Office in New York was in possession of thousands of pages of documents related. to the investigation and indictment. of Epstein. Despite my repeated requests, the FBI never disclosed the existence oft hese files. 'When you and I spoke yesterday, you were just as surprised as I was to learn this new information. By 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, February 28; the FBI will deliver the full and complete Epstein files to my office- including all records, documents, audio and video recordings, and materials related to Jeffrey Epstein and his clients, regardless of how such information was obtained. There will be no withholdings or limitations to my or your access. The Department of Justice will ensure that any public disclosure of these files will be done in a manner to protect the privacy of victims and in accordance with law, as I have done my entire career as a prosecutor. It is imperative that Trump break the back of the #Resistance, and he is certainly acting as if he knows that. He waited for the leftist bureaucrats to get over their butthurt and mass nervous breakdown; they never did, and wasted most of his first term by thwarting almost all of his legal and popularly-chosen policies. He's not letting them do that this time. Saboteurs will be fired. I would hope that one firing would act to encourage the others, but it won't; they will all have to be purged. Trump needs to remove the American Baathist Party from all positions of power and influence. Finally, we're getting what we voted for in 2016: Trump telling bureaucrats "You're fired." Wack-a-doodle blue state governors and mayors are scrambling to hire the fired #Resistance workers, which just further confirms that they always were Democrat operatives "burrowed in" to the federal government to do work for the DNC on the taxpayers' dime.

FBI’s Patel says Trump 'honeypot' story not true, defends female agent | John Solomon, Just The News Conservative media reported a whistleblower provided evidence the FBI under former Director James Comey ran a “honeypot” operation against Trump to try to entrap him as far back as 2015. In a rare and extraordinary pushback, new FBI Director Kash Patel said Friday night that media reports claiming a female agent ran a “honeypot” operation against Donald Trump during the Obama years was not true and unfair to the agent. “A female agent was falsely referenced in the media this week as part of an alleged whistleblower disclosure- she was NOT a honeypot,” Patel wrote in a post on the social media platform X. “I have reviewed the matter, again, and she did the limited job assigned to her. These actions were also reviewed by Special Counsel John Durham and he found no evidence of any wrongdoing by her,” the director said. “This agent has dedicated her life to public service, and I will have her back for it.” The statement by Patel was extraordinary since he was a critic of the FBI before he took over as its director, and helped unravel the miscondu Posted by: andycanuck (/tzYP) at March 04, 2025 03:28 PM (/tzYP) 51

The statement by Patel was extraordinary since he was a critic of the FBI before he took over as its director, and helped unravel the misconduct of the FBI during the unfounded Russia collusion case known as Crossfire Hurricane brought against Trump during the 2016 campaign.
... Patel unequivocally stated the stories were not true and that it was important for him to set the record straight. “The American people will get an FBI that is transparent, accountable, and committed to justice,” he wrote. “Just like when I exposed grotesque violations and fraud leading the House Intelligence Committee's investigation into Crossfire Hurricane calling out corrupt actors; I will equally defend those attacked falsely, especially as your new FBI Director. “I will always be the first to push for accountability from within, my track record has established that, but we do not establish guilt by association in this FBI,” he added. “Stay the course and abide by our high standards, and I will always have your back. Deviate in anyway, and you will not be a part of this FBI. She is here to stay.” Posted by: andycanuck (/tzYP) at March 04, 2025 03:29 PM (/tzYP) 53

Bondi, in her own words; "Before you came into office, I requested the full and complete files related to Jeffrey Epstein. In response to this request, I received approximately 200 pages of documents, which consisted primarily of flight logs, Epstein's list of contacts, and a list of victims' names and phone numbers.
I repeatedly questioned whether this was the full set of documents responsive to my request and was repeatedly assured by the FBI that we had received the full set of documents." -------- And yet, you did not have a WFT moment? Maybe, but that's very different than being a part of the cover-up, which you imply. Maybe she is - I just don't see any proof of that.

227 The window has closed on the Epstein files. They should have been opened a few years ago. They weren't and whatever incriminating evidence that was there has been purged.
Posted by: Puddleglum, cheer up for the worst is yet to come at March 04, 2025 03:52 PM (sAmhv) Agreed. Even calling it "the Epstein files" and getting the FBI involved is a bit of misdirection here. I don't care so much about the files the FBI compiled to prosecute Epstein. Could be interesting, but probably nothing breath taking in there. I care a LOT more about the CIA / NSA / Mossad / MI6 / whoever files that explain who Epstein worked for, how the operation worked, who was compromised, and who ordered and allowed this disgusting operation to take place. Those files, I highly suspect, we will never see. Posted by: Harry Paratestes at March 04, 2025 03:57 PM (uCjyK) 255

@bariweiss The Department of Justice is investigating the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, a $27 billion program that was part of Joe Biden’s $740 billion Inflation Reduction Act. Created in the spring of 2023, and managed by the Environmental Protection Agency, the fund was supposed to be a “first-of-its-kind” program to address the climate crisis while revitalizing communities that it considered “historically left behind.” But it appears little of the $27 billion revitalized anything—except the coffers of a range of environmental nonprofits associated with former Obama and Biden administration officials. “The Biden administration used so-called ‘climate equity’ to justify handouts of billions of dollars to their far-left friends,” @leezeldin , the Trump administration’s new EPA administrator, told @TheFP . “It is my utmost priority to get a handle on every dollar that went out the door in this scheme and once again restore oversight and accountability over these funds. The best way to get the voters to "wake up" to the dangers here is for one or more of the major "conspiracy theories" to be proven to be true.
If that happens, a lot of people will say "shit, if they lied about that, what else did they lie about? If the CIA can kill a sitting president and get away with it, what else can they do?" etc. etc. I think that kind of disclosure is what is needed to wake more people up. That's a quarter of the prominent investigations and enforcement the group was tracking at the end of the Biden administration." Posted by: Nova Local at March 04, 2025 04:21 PM (exHjb) 402

Burt Lancaster? You mean Robert Mitchum. I don't think Lancaster and Wayne ever made a movie together. Lancaster didn't like Wayne at all. Too Right Wing (Lancaster was pretty Left Wing, although a good actor).

Back in the day, we colored eggs. But for the Easter egg hunt, most kids are looking for candy. You don't need a lot of real eggs.
Posted by: no one of any consequence at March 04, 2025 04:19 PM (ZmEVT) When I was little the hunting eggs were real eggs, virtually no plastic if any. Mom or Moms stuffed the baskets equitably while kids were outside hunting. I never hunted too hard because I was disgusted with the taste of egg white back then and it felt wasteful to just eat the yolk. Posted by: Oldcat at March 04, 2025 04:26 PM (n7h9X) 420

Adv in Babysitting is a charming 80s/90s movie of Shue and her charges having to face the dangers of the city to rescue Shue's ditzy friend who ran away from home but was stuck in the train station. The Democrats truly have no ability to see themselves as others do. One of the biggest reasons they lost everything in the last election is that they are not seen as serious people that you want in positions of power. The Democrats are seen as silly, infantile, near-retarded weirdo advocates for clearly lunatic ideas. Everything they are planning to do at Trump's SOTU speech will just reinforce this idea of their unsuitability for power in the American system of governance. Even bringing in people who lost their jobs due to DOGE is a terrible idea. These are going to be "resistards" who are angry and have no respect for Trump as President. Do the Dims really think they are going to sit there and listen politely? No, they will not. This has the potential to really get out of control and brand the Democrats as an out of control mob who unworthy of their positions in the view of the majority of voters. My advice is sit there. Don't applaud and boo "politely" when they disagree. They have their chance with the reply given by their side. Buuuuuuuuut, fortunately, they won't do that and will cement their reputation as the insane, immature toddlers of politics. Posted by: naturalfake at March 04, 2025 05:00 PM (iJfKG) 429

I (don't) wonder if the files and data disks that the FBI found in the safe at Epsteins' New York house, in the safe that they opened, but "neither examined nor secured" because it was "outside the scope of their warrant", and while they left it unguarded and open, some evildoer stole the contents overnight.
Doesn't that sound a lot like what happened in the house connected with the Mandalay hotel murders? Posted by: John in Indy at March 05, 2025 04:34 AM (nOF7Z) Processing 0.08, elapsed 0.0792 seconds. |
