If you're having trouble figuring out which "anchor" is "sliding into DMs" "petulantly" to complain about the roasting he's receiving, this clue might help you solve the mystery: Ed Morrissey updated a post about Tapper's book yesterday to say that Tapper DM'd him and insisted that he'd always questioned Biden's mental acuity.

Tapper presented Morrissey with five links demonstrating, he claimed, that he had always been skeptical of Biden's mental fitness. Coincidentally, I'm sure, this Newsweek article includes those five same links.

I wonder where they got them from!!!

This is a good point: How lacking in self-awareness is Fake Jake, to think he could "write" this book and not face any well-earned blowback?

Did no one at the publisher spot this as a problem?

I would say that I'm surprised that he's not just laughing his way to the bank. He probably got 6 figures of an advance to write the book.

But then I remember ace's tales of Tapper's whole vibe, and I realize he could never be happy with just getting paid.

7 Tapper brought up a Washington Post article that discussed how Biden “embraces his stutter,” while former President Donald Trump “mocks it, exaggerates it, belittles it,” and noted that the article quoted Trump campaign adviser Jason Miller, who “quite remarkably responded” with this quote:

President Trump has never mocked Joe Biden’s speech impediment. He’s simply called out the fact Biden is a cognitively impaired, low-IQ individual.

It's interesting how it's like a darker Bullitt chase.

It's one of the great car chases. They were flying. The story behind is it interesting too.

And now you find articles from the same phonies entitled "How we ALL failed Amy Winehouse". Speak for your own kind, bitch.

-------------------

I would say his 'lack of self-awareness' is really driven by his supreme confidence that anyone not a Leftist & otherwise lower in profile than him is just stupid. He doesn't credit us with the memory or intellect for research or interest to hold him accountable, and for the few who do have it, feels he can harass and/or confuse them into softening or backing off. And he feels he can play this game to con the bulk of the masses in ways he makes big bucks from. He simply can't accept that he's a talking monkey for Soros and Gates, as opposed to the puppet master of the masses. And the cause was fueled less from their personal fortunes and more from massively corrupt federal funding that Soros & Gates et al effectively controlled. So with what DOGE is doing and the donors themselves wanting to hold back their fortunes. This talking monkey is being dropped in the gutter. But he still thinks he's puppet mastering us all and why won't we shut up and buy his book?

174 172 The fix was already in with regard to Tapper's book--some leftist NGO fronted (or backed) a ridiculous advance that some book company then passed on to Tapper. And also purchase orders were already placed and cashed.

The book itself and its accuracy/popularity/etc won't matter, except to determine the final dollar amount Tapper receives for his "work".

He could be lacking in awareness. Probably is to some degree.

But I think the larger picture is he's setting the narrative and just lying to our faces. And most people will believe it.

Like how one day covid was the pandemic of the unvaccinated and we were LITERALLY murdering grandma if we didn't get a vaccine, and any vaccinated person who got covid was a "breakthrough case" and we all needed to get vaccinated to protect others. Then the next day, the same people said "huh? No one ever said that the vaccines will stop infections. The vaccines just help lessen the severity of the infection! Duh."

And many many MANY brainless LIVs are walking around parroting that line to this day.

The truth doesn't matter, all that matters is the narrative of the day.

Instead, Tapper and the rest will write books to make money off of their pseudo-admission that:

I would say close to 100% of politicians and deep staters have friends / family / cut outs / bag boys who run various vendors who get no-bid (or rigged bidding) contracts.

There was a big scandal about the NYC school janitors probably 30 years ago. A bunch of janitors were driving around in Mercedes and living way beyond their means.

Turns out they had set up vendors and awarded them the contracts for the cleaning supplies. So they'd purchase the supplies at Home Depot or whatever, then "resell" it to the DOE for twice what it cost. I don't know if anyone went to jail, but that's the verrrry small version of what is going on in DC.

Yes. I believe this is part of the problem. From what I've heard, Epstein didn't specifically have a "here are the kiddy f**kers" list. He had a contacts book. Everywhere Epstein went, he collected names and addresses of anyone who was famous and wealthy. Some of them went to the island and did evil shit. Some of them were just contacts. Lots were somewhere in between those two extreme.

Yeah, I don't believe those log in rates (unless they are strictly talking about logging in physically in that office) as my office alone is/was fully remote and we have 243 FTEs in our dept and I know for a fact that all of us are on all the time only diff being that we log-in from our home office.

And that rate isn't going to rise much as most of us are returning to an office TBD that isn't in DC proper (aka logging in from a VA regional office in Louisville KY) at least in our case.

268 re: NYC subways.

I ride the subway pretty much daily. It's disgusting, unclean, runs like shit, and is a dangerous place to be.

That will remain unchanged regardless of how much money the federal government gives the state of NY.

Albany uses the MTA as a gigantic slush fund and always has.

NYC has no say in how Albany spends the money, so it also sets up a great system where no one is really accountable for the money, the subway system, or what happens.

But it gives NYC and Albany a great excuse to ALWAYS NEED MOAR MONEY.

If we just give them a litttttle more money, they'll actually power wash the subway platforms. Unfortunately, it's never quite enough, and no one does the most basic cleaning, because if it was clean and operated well, they could never ask for more money.

That said, the new R211 cars are pretty cool. Well worth the god knows how many billions they somehow managed to spend on technology that has changed very little since the 1800's.

"two parts" is an aspect of both definitions

2 a word blending the sounds and combining the meanings of two others, for example motel (from ‘motor’ and ‘hotel’

One of my favorites of his is a comedy which should be more well known than it is, "A New Leaf" by Elaine May, starring Elaine May and Matthau. He plays a delightfully slimy character trying to marry for money, and does what he excels at; play a disgustingly self centered character who you like anyways because he can be so charming. And when he lies, he lies in over the top and outrageous ways that just steamroll people into going along with him.

318 280 I'm pretty sure the actual compromising videos and pictures are not among the evidence Bondi has access to. The IC has those far out of sight, on secret servers with no known connection to government, in private vaults, and deep in super classified locations.

Which the IC affectionately calls the spank bank.

319 10 The far-left New York Times announced on Thursday that it had identified at least 45 people working for DOGE. They note that few come from inside the Beltway, while many are software engineers.

The Times also notes that the individuals have backgrounds in artificial intelligence and include former Musk employees and multiple others who have helped the operation. Moreover, the DOGE workers encompass both young and middle-aged adults, along with a variety of races.

... of course, the story is "by The New York Times"

Lousy "journalism."

Elon's people were placed into the US Digital Service.
Wikipedia, "It was established on January 20, 2025, by an executive order renaming the United States Digital Service (USDS) to the United States DOGE Service (USDS); a temporary organization, the U.S. DOGE Service Temporary Organization (USDSTO), was also established within USDS."

It's not difficult to identify new personnel; most were never hidden to begin. Many were 'embedded' in Executive branch agencies which are not too pleased. But the same agencies made not a peep when USDS, The Presidential Innovation Fellows (PIF) &/or 18F came to visit for awhile.

Not sad.

320 The clip is so very perfectly lawyerly.

He doesn't deny the decline he just objects to the credentials for diagnosis and says something about attacking a stutter.

This is what one would call a "slithering snake."

Does he know how snakey he is? ABSOLUTELY.

Because otherwise he wouldn't sleep at night.
