23 Das Art!!

(Or would it be "die Art" or "der Art" or . . . Never mind.)

This looks like a fun one to pick apart. I get a Mardi Gras vibe, the two faces being like the huge figures on MG floats. And the blue swirls on the right and bottom, the changes of color, and the various triangular slashes of color throughout give it a sense of energy and speed. It is not a static work.

34 Interesting. My only real problem is the color palette. But, then again, it's probably me and I'm missing what the artist is trying to convey with the bright almost burning colors.

Yes -- just the suggestion of the turret and the long-barreled gun! Yet this could not be a reaction to WWI or the Spanish Civil War or WWII; none of them had happened yet.

The tapering, or maybe collapsing, apartment blocks are disorienting. Which I think our artist may have intended.

The woman in profile has what you might call a "handsome" face, not exactly pretty. The other face has a diamond pendant for a nose. The attractive sister and the homely one, perhaps?

On a side note here, I think the Marvel people got kind of lucky with the actors they had for the movies up to and including Infinity Wars.

RDJ, Hemsworth, and Hiddleston were all perfectly cast, and even most of the less important actors ended up being good choices from Olsen to Pratt, to Rudd and so on.

Part of their problem now is that they are trading in good actors, or at least ones well suited for the role, for well, a more "diverse" selection.

The greenery looks like carved blocks of emerald.

This would have made a good cover for some of Ballantine's paperback SF books in the Sixties and Seventies. They often used abstract art that had nothing to do with the novel or stories inside, but the covers caught your attention.

90 There's a trained requirement for drawing, where you have to force yourself to render what you see, not what your brain already knows, e.g., when you need to draw two eyes, you don't just plunk down two circles somewhere about where you think eyes go. I'm guessing Boccioni does exactly the opposite exercise -- take whatever you see and chuck it out the window.

It's interesting how in the lower left there looks to be horse and carriages driving down the street behind the tank. I also think like the "Simultaneous Visions" are a before and after, or a "what is" vs. "what could be"? The lower left has people going about their daily lives. The Upper right has the tanks and mobs. That the colors are bright and the big heads are smiling is interesting too. Like you said, this cannot refer to WWI. Perhaps a prophecy? Boccioni was part of the Futurist movement which produced a manifesto with proto-fascist ideas.

186 One reason I like it because it's painted like a color prism where rainbow colors appear in the order of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.

Another because it's so busy it takes time to study every segment of every rainbow color to catch what else has been painted 'inside' of it. It seems both calming and annoying, probably depending on how much time is spent searching, but also enjoying the flow of the jewel colors.
(Sorry, a lack of talent when it comes to an eye for a lot of art & not a clear explanation, above.)

I could enjoy this artist's paintings in a gallery for many hours, but hanging IDK. Thanks.

215 196 Everyone, I would like to ask for prayers. I am planning today to send a conciliatory letter to my only sister, from whom I have been estranged for almost twenty years. This is as a result of the family breakup we had over our parents' estates. My sister has begun communicating with my brothers, from whom she was formerly estranged, so I thought that I would reach out to her and attempt to reestablish contact, especially since I am told that she is in ill-health. So I ask for prayers that my attempt at outreach will be successful.

Thanks.

Not sure of the specifics, but the Clowncil charges a fee to install a star on the walk of fame, so I imagine the walk is in the city's jurisdiction. I have seen them approve various other stars during the few months of watching their antics.

It is amazing to watch a commie controlled body in action; almost all votes are 15-0. And, weirdly, there is pure free speech during public comment, because of the Brown Act. Lots of N-bombs and F-bombs and C-bombs, lol.

Very good and very well-put together horror-based comedy.
