This book is Tapper's attempt to save the media from the public's accurate assessment that they covered up Biden's dementia to rig an(other) election.

His searing investigation will put the blame squarely on Joe Biden, Jill Biden, Hunter Biden, Frank Biden, plus the five or six top aides to Biden.

Note that none of these people have any future in elective politics. They were part of a failed and fraudulent presidency; the Democrat Party will not be making use of their services in the future.

Therefore, it is safe for Fake Jake to dump all responsibility for the "cover up" on them, and them alone.

The media will be protected from scrutiny. Fake Jake will regale us with stories of Brave Journalists who desperately wanted to report the truth, but were spun up with stories about Joe's Childhood Stutter. The Courageous Truth-Tellers were completely deceived by this perfect Mephistopheles-level deception, you see. They tried their best, but Joe Biden's famously-competent messaging machine just snowed them over.

Even Democrat officials like Nancy Pelosi, Hakeem Jeffries, Chuck Schumer, and all the other Democrat Congressmen who covered this up and lied to the public about Biden winning Go tournaments when the cameras weren't looking will be spared. I think it's fair to say that he does not have an exceptionally high IQ.

But I also think it's fair to say that his job first and foremost is to be a propagandist and to say what his talking points or teleprompter tell him to say.

So, in other words, yes, obviously he saw what everyone else in the world could see when it came to Joe Biden. Obviously he was lying through his teeth about it for years. But that's just part of the job.

I'm re-watching TNG. At the time of the show, the ship's computer was practically magical. It had every book, it could provide references to all sorts of things. But re-watching it now, I find it frustrating how passive the ship's computer is. It always waits for a command, rather than doing simple, "if this then that" operations.

For example: I recently watched an episode where Q whisks Picard along with a shuttle craft. It isn't until someone looks for Picard and can't find him that they discover he's gone. With a computer that can answer where on the ship any member of the crew is, it should be a basic function to alert as soon as a person goes missing.

They also regularly have issues with visitors to the ship prowling around in places where they're not supposed to go. Access control is unheard of on Enterprise.

Picard's, "Earl Grey tea. Hot," command also annoys me. He should have a simple alias, "tea" that, when ordered by him translates to, "Earl Grey tea. Hot."
