But the Scot, 32, is already believed to have filmed his regeneration exit scene -- and crew fear the BBC will shelve the show after 62 years.
An insider said: "Ncuti doesn't want to be tied to the series beyond this and plans to relocate to Los Angeles with several Hollywood projects standing by for him.
"His team also see a lot of fan backlash from the series, and don't want the perception of him still being The Doctor to get in the way of any future work.
"The show has been poorly managed in recent years and there's a lot of people who've been working on this show for years and now being cast aside due to poor leadership.
"People warned some episodes were getting too caught up on an agenda rather than telling a story and those people got shouted down, ignored."
Ncuti's first series, which began last May, attracted between 2.25million and 3.18million viewers -- a tiny fraction of what it used to pull in.
Controversy over the storylines has ramped up since 2023, when Russell T Davies returned as showrunner.
A trio of 60th anniversary specials kicked off with a plot involving a character who was able to save London because they were trans.
Another saw The Doctor -- played by the returning David Tennant -- realise he was gay after developing a crush on Sir Isaac Newton.
The first full series had plots slamming everything from capitalism to Christianity -- and introduced a new enemy played by a drag queen.
A huge question mark also hangs over whether Disney will renew its deal, said to be worth 100million [pounds], with the BBC.

Obviously Hollywood and the artistic caste are doubling down on in-your-face gay/trans propaganda in an act of defiance against 60% of the population.

I actually think France is in the lead there. Despite what is mentioned, Islamists only compose about 9-10 percent of UK population. Part of the issue is South Asians are both Indian and Pakistani but the Indians migrating are typically Hindu or Sikh. Its an impressive first week, far better than expected. There's really no competition out there, and it was over a holiday weekend probably a lot of dates went to see it. We'll see how it does this week.

Word of mouth I have heard is that in major theaters it was sparsely attended but in theater pub, lower cost places it packed in the viewers.

It also got the lowest Cinemascore for any Marvel movie ever (a B-).

Cinemascores have a direct linear relationship with long term performance of a film over weeks from its opening. It's going to collapse fast and hard. Probably a 75% drop or more.

It'll be lucky to break $350 million worldwide at the end. And that includes the theaters' cut of tickets.

We're not going to see another Captain America movie for a long time.

Its varies. The x2 formula is based on the average movie. If your movie goes way over cost, like with The Last Jedi, for example, its not likely to spend that much on distribution and advertising. On the other hand, there's been such a huge effort to promote this movie, they probably ARE spending a good 350 million on advertising etc.

Also its a sleight of hand to estimate the actual earnings of the film, since theaters take a chunk of the ticket sales.

Personally, I think the metric should be tickets sold, not dollar value claimed. Disney routinely lies like a rug about money (they claimed this movie cost 180,000,000 to make as Madison noted, for example).

This is based on info from the 90s, but back then, in theaters in Oregon, the ratio changed week by week, with the longer a movie ran, the bigger percentage the theaters got. I have no idea if that's normal everywhere or if it is even still applicable today. I do know that you mentioned a while back that the percentages are negotiated per movie, so it can differ.

I don't think that show gets enough credit. You had her, a Russian, and an Asian. In the late 1960s. And they did parables on serious stuff from time to time. Proxy Wars / Vietnam. They did it. Race ... they did it, one of their best.
