The Morning Report — 2/4/25

MurphyCuffMe.jpg

Good morning kids. The old adage "Nothing Succeeds Like Success" certainly applies to these first two weeks of the Trump administration. On several interconnected fronts that include foreign policy, domestic policy and the economy, at this early date, it certainly seems as if nothing can stop Trump and company as he takes a bulldozer to Leftist/Democrat and Deep State bureaucratic cancer, with the side benefit of making anyone who opposes him look ridiculous. It not only makes those of us who put him in office to do exactly what he's doing cheer even louder, which also garners him support from an even broader cross-section of the populace who not only see the benefits of what he's doing but more crucially can compare and contrast with the abject disaster of Democrat/Leftist policy. Obviously the open border insanity is the big issue illustrative of this. More on that in a moment but first . . .

Before getting to some of the juicier nuggets in the links, of which there are many, Even if it is early days, it certainly appears as though Trump senses the political winds, which feel like a category 4 storm, are at his back. While he dared sign an E.O. barely after being sworn in that erases the revolting bastardization of the 14th amendment, birthright citizenship, and ending it (or at least throwing down the gauntlet to fight for its end.

Although he had promised to do this while on the campaign trail, he's nevertheless emboldened to move ahead regardless, knowing full well the shitstorm he is going to face. I give you this orgasmatronic story to start the ball rolling!

The draft order would be a step toward fulfilling a key campaign promise President Donald Trump made to return education policy back to the states. The order would not direct the dismantling of the department, but request a plan to do so from the Education secretary, according to
The order would also call on Congress to pass legislation striking the department from federal statute. Trump may sign the order soon, according to ABC News, but no set date has been determined.

The order, if signed, would likely be carried out by Trump’s nominee to head the Department of Education, Linda McMahon. Some officials in the Trump administration are pushing for the president to hold off signing the order until after McMahon’s confirmation, according to The Wall Street Journal, presumably to avoid hindering her nomination in the Senate.

In years past, something like this was a non-starter, even if a Republican was in the White House. Aside from the fact that the number one mission of any bureaucracy is to expand its funding and power and not solve the problems it was created to address which would ultimately mean bringing about its own obsolescence. The GOP is part of the grift and has been since the New Deal. Now to shutter the EPA and Department of Energy, then we'd really be on something.

In other news, while all the usual suspects were freaking out over Trump hitting Mexico and Canada with tariffs for their malfeasance in not keeping their borders secure and allowing the millions of third world peasants and criminals to stream across, it looks as if both Trudeau and Scheinbaum have caved and cried Uncle Sam.

“Canada is implementing our $1.3 billion border plan — reinforcing the border with new choppers, technology and personnel, enhanced coordination with our American partners, and increased resources to stop the flow of fentanyl,” said Trudeau, who announced his intention to resign as prime minister and as leader of the Liberal Party last month. He continued in his post to declare that nearly 10,000 frontline personnel “are and will be working on protecting the border,” and announced a new commitment to “appoint a Fentanyl Czar.”

And Sheinbaum.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Monday announced she is immediately deploying 10,000 National Guard soldiers to the southern border to help mitigate the flow of drugs and illegal immigration through the U.S.-Mexico border. In exchange, the Trump administration will pause its 25% tariff on Mexican imports for one month and work to quell the flow of arms south of the border.

And Nayib Buckle the President of El Salvador will house the teeming wretched refuse that flooded onto our shores:

The president of El Salvador on Monday offered to house convicted US citizens in his country’s “mega-prison” and take in deported criminal illegal migrants of any nationality after a meeting with Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Rubio, 53, said the deal struck with Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele represents “the most unprecedented, extraordinary, extraordinary migratory agreement anywhere in the world,” in remarks from the capital city of San Salvador.

“We can send them and he will put them in his jails,” the secretary of state said of migrants set to be deported from the US. “And, he’s also offered to do the same for dangerous criminals currently in custody and serving their sentences in the United States even though they’re US citizens or legal residents.”

From Bukele we go to Bukakke.

President Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, having been alerted to New Jersey Democrat governor Phil Murphy admitting he had an immigrant who lacked full documentation residing in his home and daring the federal government to “try and get her,” indicated he would seek to prosecute Murphy if he was knowingly harboring an illegal immigrant.

Speaking at a public event with “Blue Wave New Jersey,” Murphy bragged that New Jersey was “the lead state in challenging birthright citizenship.” Later, he said defiantly, “There is someone in our broader universe whose immigration status is not yet at the point that they are trying to get it to and we said, ‘You know what? Let’s have her live at our house above our garage’ and good luck to the feds coming in to try to get her.”

. . .“I think the governor is pretty foolish … I got note of it. Won’t let it go. We’ll look into it. And if he’s knowingly, knowingly  harboring, concealing an illegal alien, that’s a violation of Title VIII, United States Code 1324. I would seek prosecution or the Secretary would seek prosecution,” Homan answered.

“So maybe he’s bluffing; maybe he’s not; we’ll deal with that,”

Here's an idea on how to deal with Murphy: conduct a 3:00AM DHS raid on his house with a CNN crew ready to film him being dragged out in his urine-stained BVDs. Then charge him with a felony, for harboring an illegal alien.

Time to pass a law in Congress declaring sanctuary jurisdictions illegal and tantamount to insurrection against the Federal government.

Elsewhere, Trump not only took a wrecking ball to the horrendous USAID which used taxpayer dollars to fund Marxists, Maoists, and other assorted America-hating bone-in-the-nose savages and tyrants as well as Islamic terroriststs who have American blood on their hands.

And speaking of which, he's cutting off the funding of UNRWA. and withdrawing us from that horrid joke of the UN Human Rights Council.

President Trump is expected to sign an executive order removing the U.S. from the UNHRC and will also call on Secretary of State Marco Rubio to examine other international groups that promote “radical or anti-American sentiment.”The executive order will also shut down funds to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), which has received over $8 billion over ten years from Western nations. At least nine UNRWA staff participated in Hamas’s October 7 terror attacks in Israel in 2023, a fact later admitted by the United Nations last year.President Trump has already paused foreign aid funding, announcing a 90-day freeze just days after his inauguration. The United States spends around $60 billion per year on foreign aid projects, the most of any country globally.

And it looks like Gabbard and perhaps Bondi are on track to be confirmed. So much winning!

Have a great day.

And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know.

9 What's funny is that Trump is hardly doing anything dramatic in terms of foreign policy. We've just never had a head of government who said to the rest of the world, "Come on, people. Just stop sucking a little bit. That's all I ask."

He isn't exacting tribute or collapsing governments. He's just asking them to be a little bit less of a bunch of scumbags for half a second.

And most of them seem to be saying "OK, fine", which only feels shocking because no President has even tried asking in the last hundred years.

That word was chosen deliberately, as "sanctuary" carries connotations of "holiness."

A sanctuary is seen as a blessed place where those who are troubled may find solace and peace for a time.

It's no accident that the Left chose that word to describe cities where illegals can hole up and commit more crimes.

I admit I was absolutely wrong with regards to the second Trump administration. I thought there would be a lot of tough talk, but no real action. I also believed that no matter what Trump or his crew ordered, the DC scum would laugh and say, go ahead, Drumpf, try it!.

But what I have seen since January 20 blows me away. I can't drop my natural cynicism long enough to believe his changes are permanent and that the left will not reverse everything he does when they inevitably return to power, but I am guardedly optimistic that he's going to slash and burn his way through the swamp.

If Rubio, Vance, and DeSantis run their campaigns for 2028 together, as three separate candidates. Do events together. Have little debates everywhere they go. This has always been part (at least since Obama) of the nebulous reason that the border is open. It is meant as an obligation to somehow make up for the chaos we caused by making guns and that means we should let in whomever Mexico wants to let through their country.

Lost in this is that it begs the question of why didn't Obama or Biden lock down the border to prevent these weapons getting into the Eden like paradise that is Mexico?

Trump's superpower is making everyone fold like a lawn chair and kiss his ass. I truly have never seen anything like it. Trump is now the dictator of North and Central America.

Neither Canada nor Mexico bowed down to him. Trump is the one that folded like a cheap suit. Mexico already supplied the border with their national guard and the deal with Canada was signed under Biden Dec. 17th.

America is always looking to crown someone the next god. After 911, all Bush had to do was climb on a pile of rubble with a bullhorn and idiots in the media like Chris Matthews was comparing him to Churchill. They’re always looking for the next Audie Murphy.

Trump folded twice, especially to Canada, who was ready to fight. The media might be spinning Mexico like it was a win for Trump, but it wasn't. China is giving Trump the cold shoulder. Only Denmark's behavior is questionable. He's only succeeded in distracting the media from his dismantling of the Fed Government.

The hostages would NEVER come home under Biden. Biden's government chose their pieces of silver in kickbacks and slush funds over stopping evil.

I wouldn't put it past them to have worked with Israel to get info on their plans, but then let Hamas know where those attacks were, so they could ferry hostages into another tunnel or town.

And with the money siphoned off to actual, literal terrorists, the war would continue, and more money would be needed, and then the Big Guy and/or the cronies would get their 10% or more off the top.

The Die Hard films had it right so long ago. It's always about the money.

Years ago JPMorganChase conducted a survey of their employee passwords. The (predictable) results showed approximately 45-50% were '1234578', 'Idontknow', and the like. Another 20-25% were written on Postit's and somewhere close to the computer keyboard.

They changed the password requirements very shortly after that.

279 The people who pick our crops and clean our office buildings, who labor in poultry farms and meatpacking plants, who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants and work the night shifts in hospitals. They may not be citizens or have the proper documentation, but the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals.

Every one of them committed a crime by illegally crossing the border.

Imagine the border is like...the door to the Capitol Building. And crossing it illegally is like walking through the open door in DC and parading there.

The real news is a new ascending star was revealed at the meeting. Kamala Harris and Stacy Abrams are cooked, done, over, as the leader of the stronk Black woman with a puffed up resume wing of the party. Behold Doctor Quintessa Hathaway. It should be noted she's a doctor exactly like Dr. Jiggly Jill. I did some reading about her and she's a complete loon. And comedy gold. I'm really looking forward to her antics for the next couple years until she's replaced.

I think there is a gap here that isn't being addressed. Hackers cause enormous social upheaval and are punished as minor criminals. The production company credits were just average. I gave up after them and spun up a BBC documentary Royal mating habits.

429 Fascinating how no one in the media can grasp that breaking the federal law and entering the country illegally makes you a criminal by definition.

It is similar to illegal parking - just being here is an infection every moment being here. Not like you get one ticket under the wiper and then you get to stay as long as you want.

430 A password wallet is probably the best solution. It is far from a good solution, but there aren’t any. Ultimately, what we need is a logical impossibility: a means to know someone we don’t know.

Password lists on a post-it note stuck to your monitor is the best security - requires access to your computer which likely requires B&E to get to in the first place... and the invader working you over with a spanner if you didn't have the pw's posted.

431 I like all the random internet surveys designed to get your answers to this question. Yes to know what kind of tree you would be...if you were a tree...the survey needs to know your first car, mother's maiden name, and street you grew up on...

You can answer all than with a 128 random character string... But stick to about ten or twelve if you have to enter it manually.

I do that with user names if given the option.

Once broke my bank's system because I used a "pipe" in my user name and the system choked on it
They tracked me down and asked me to change it.

My last 15 years of a 35 plus years as a television broadcast engineer was wrapped up by working for the largest Spanish television network. I loved visiting the weather center to address the female meteorologist's computer issues. Uh, yeah.

433 Good morning, all, and thanks, J.J.

There's so much fear RFK, Jr. can become Secretary of Health & Human Services, i.e.,

Forbes, February 4, 2025, 'RFK Jr., Cites Problematic Paper In HHS Senate Confirmation Hearing, Bruce Y. Lee, Senior Contributor, Bruce Y. Lee, M.D., MBA, covers health, medicine, wellness and science

But, I wonder how much fear is actually related to healthcare enforcement in this second Trump administration, as it was also a centerpiece of his first??

438 Part of me wishes Trump would imply that he would respect sanctuary cities just to see them get overrun by illegals. Would also serve to have them all self congregate making deportation easier.

439 I like the deals with El Salvador, have been recommending it myself. All that expense they did to solve their own crime issues can be turned into a profit center, and they could easily enough adjust conditions to match any regulation by a state using them as a partner. Could be quite a profit center for a country without a ton of size and resources.
