When Ajax was a puppy he chewed partially through a power cord. Once.
I kept hearing something that sounded like sparking and looked under the desk to see what the hell it was. I lost it. Just the thought of him electrocuting himself like that (he was maybe 6mobths old) sent me through the roof. He never did it again. DoD might be excluded in the end like they were from the hiring freeze. I know some who were hired under 100% telework because they have no more than a couple projects in any one State and the work-load constantly shifts. In their case 'going to the office' serves no purpose.
Posted by: Itinerant Alley Butcher at February 03, 2025 07:37 PM (/lPRQ) Local base the head honchos raced to D.C. to get clarification about that. There are folks who have a contract that specifies telework. They don't want to quit but it would be impossible for them to be in an office. That's what has my son all worried. He can go into the office, but some of the best people on that team are teleworking contractors. I figure they'll get it sorted out soon. Like you, I kinda think DoD will be exempt. Posted by: gKWVE at February 03, 2025 08:01 PM (gKWVE) There's a Jack Vance story where 2 planets almost meet every so often and they invade. The invaders were dragons and some were captured. On the next invasion the people had combat dragons armed with sidearms, swords, maces .... and the Dragons had combat humans in similar roles. Demoncrats... They want slaves They want money They want power They thought they had it all. Forever. And then Trump happened. They had to back up, regroup, and force him out. They got Biden, the brain damaged puppet and dumped the brakes. Going balls to the wall, trashing every single norm to finally achieve that golden goal. They would rule forever! And then Trump happened. Again. This time he isn't playing nice. This time he is a wrecking ball hell bent on destroying their infrastructure for power, greed, and hatred. This time it's personal.
