Mike Pence and Tim Walz, rub-a-dub-dub
Nothing wrong with two manly straight men
having a bubble bath and enjoying each other's musky strength

That's a fake picture but, you know, it's True in a Deeper Way.

Trump might pick his officials based on how well they do on Fox, but here's a big upside to it: Apparently Trump's officials will now be briefing the public directly on important matters. Here's SecDef Hegseth updating us on the DC airport crash.

Direct communication from the government to the governed is fantastic. A government that hides is a government that lies.

As a small, tiny, almost insignificant bonus, the corrupt media is cut out of the loop 100%. They cannot monetize access to high officials when those officials are offering the access for free to the public.

I heartily approve.

Remember the media claiming that Trump and Musk were on the outs, and Trump wanted to bannish Musk from Mar-a-Lago?

Well, thanks to @ComradeArthur/@ArthurKimes, the Daily Mail reports that Trump has offered Musk a bedroom at the White House, because he was camping out at DOGE.

RFKJr. pointed out that Champagne Socialist Bernie Sanders receives huge donations from Big Pharma. Sanders claimed that he doesn't take donation from CEOs or PACs, and that all of the millions he's taken from Big Phama came from "the workers." Sure, "the workers" maxxing out donations to Senator because they're so concerned about Sanders promoting the corporation they work for.

Senator Liz Warpath has taken $5.2 million from Big Pharma, and she earned every penny of that bribe when she demanded that RFKJr. agree to never again sue Big Pharma, after he returns to private life after serving as SecHealth.

Kash Patel promised Marsha Blackburn that he, unlike Christopher Wray, would deliver over all the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Patel confirmed that he and Trump attempted to deploy the National Guard on January 6th but Nancy Pelosi blocked the move.

Patel's best moment came when literal goon -- I mean a literal goon; she comes from the race of Goons as seen in Popeye cartoons -- Amy Klobuchar said she wanted five hours to question him. "You have two minutes," Patel said.

Unfortunately Maizie Hirono persists. I wouldn't trust this developmentally-disabled obese woman to buff my toenails.

Senator John Kennedy to Patel: "Sounds to me we've got to get some new conspiracy theories because all the old ones turned out to be true. Conspiracy theorists are up something like 37 to nothin'."

Tulsi Gabbard explains why she said that paying terrorist groups to overthrow Syria's Assad would result in a terrorist taking power in that country. The reason she feels justified in predicting this is that this is exactly what happened -- a terrorist is now in charge of Syria.

But apart from that, why did you say that, Tulsi?

"Those that oppose my nomination -- are accusing me of being Trump’s puppet, Putin's puppet, Assad's puppet, a guru's puppet, Modi's puppet -- what truly unsettles them is I refuse to be THEIR puppet." -Tulsi Gabbard

That video here.

The New Outrage is that JD Vance said that Christianity teaches people to love their family first, then their neighbors, and then the world. You know, much like inalterable human psychology and instinct dictates.

The left claims no, Jesus said love strangers more than your own children.

JD Vance notes the Growing and National Concern of dullard Democrats who aren't smart enough to know they're dumb.

Auron McIntyre discusses the backbone of the Democrat Party -- the Mid-Wit, the person who wants to be smart but isn't so he joins the exploitative, manipulative party that tells him he's smart even though he's a dummy.

Like pedophiles, Democrats prey on the vulnerable.

I think JD Vance made a mistake calling this guy a 110 IQ. He was trying to be nice, but note that by talking about an above-average but very common IQ, he's inadvertently knocking all people of average intelligence and somewhat above-average intelligence.

Like I said, he was just trying to be nice -- the guy he's talking to is probably mid-high nineties at best.

He shouldn't have done. Being nice to a dum-dum resulted in knocking a lot of average-to-clever people.

Speaking of Mid-Wits who are very impressed with themselves for having accomplished nothing in college for four or five years:

This guy says that the Democrats' major problem is that they, unlike the right, do not have a media network willing to shill for them.

No, he really says that.

The UK may be approaching its MAGA Moment.

More on that Chicago murder committed by two criminal aliens.

Note that it appears this man was lured to his own murder via a gay dating app.

So the illegals are murdering the LGBTs. Who wins?

The illegals.

Details remain sketchy and incomplete, but this is shaping up to be a potential blockbuster of a story. Just hours before ICE raids commenced in Chicago -- for which Trump Border Czar Tom Homan was present -- a resident was murdered in a neighborhood known to be generally nice and safe. Fox News correspondent Matt Finn was based in Chicago for years and is therefore very well sourced in the city (he broke a lot of news during the Jussie Smollett hate crime hoax saga). He flagged this new development yesterday afternoon, noting some of the early facts I've mentioned. A killer or multiple killers were on the loose, he reported, having "brutally" killed a 63-year-old man, who sources told Finn was "bound and gagged." The body was discovered just ahead of the Homan/ICE operation commencing.

Finn added that the murder was "aggravated" in nature, featuring especially "upsetting" specifics...

Rumors and reports are swirling that at least one of the alleged killers (it may be two men) is an illegal immigrant -- possibly Venezuelan -- and that he (and perhaps an accomplice) targeted the victim through a gay dating app. Early and unconfirmed indications suggest that the killer or killers tied up and gagged the victim, possibly subjecting him to sexual assault and torture in the process of murdering him. If, in fact, one or more illegal immigrants used a dating app to lure or entrap this victim, whom they proceeded to brutalize and kill, that is obviously barbaric and horrible. It's also politically atrocious timing for the Mayor of Chicago and the Governor of Illinois, both "progressive" Democrats who have made a big show of opposing the ICE raids targeting criminal illegal aliens.

Below: this concerns a different illegal alien sex offender that Brandon Johnson chose to allow to prey on Chicagoans.

As most jurisdictions comply with Trump's deportation orders, criminals will flee to the sanctuary city Soros Zones where Democrat mayors will let them murder and rape as they please.

Look for an extinction burst as crime becomes so common in the Soros Zones that even the latte-sipping AWFLs begin to cry.

BTW, NBD, but the mayor of Chicago is more crooked than Al Capone.

Chicago cops blocked city inspectors from entering a curious "Gift Room" filled with designer bags, Hugo Boss cufflinks, a personalized Mont Blanc pen and other ritzy goodies that were accepted by Mayor Brandon Johnson, according to a bombshell report.

The trove of pricey giveaways is part of an "unwritten arrangement" that dates back 35 years, under which mayors can just write down gifts they receive in a logbook and store some of them on the fifth floor of City Hall instead of reporting them to the Board of Ethics, according to the Office of Inspector General.

But the new report issued Wednesday outlines the numerous times investigators were rebuffed from learning more about the 236 gifts given to Johnson "on behalf of the city" since he took office.

An investigator initially posed as a member of the public to request the gift log while visiting City Hall last year, but was turned down and forced to formally make a request.

The covert official then filed the paperwork, but was ignored. Eventually, the mayor's office handed over the information after the inspector general made the official request for all gifts given between February 2022, when Lori Lightfoot was mayor, and March 20, 2024.

The log had incomplete information, but still listed hundreds of luxury presents, including the cuff links, Mont Blanc pen, bags and purses from Gucci, Kate Spade, and Givenchy and Carrucci burgundy shoes that are a men's size 14.

When OIG officials requested access to check out the room, they were met by Chicago cops who told them to wait in the elevator lobby, according to the report.

After wrangling between the OIG and the mayor's office, inspectors were told they would not get inside the room, the report states.

21 IQ seems to have a range of boasting and then people stop. I remember a guy in my Russian class in high school who was pretty smart bragging about his IQ ... which was 10 points lower than mine. I never brought it up because I was always skeptical of the value of an IQ rating and felt I kind of cheated my way into it (the tester gave me extra points because as a very little boy I drew more details in a sketch than kids my age usually do -- because I am at least somewhat gifted with art).

But it feels to me like people who are over or under a certain level of IQ just don't talk about it much but those within a certain range are always on about it.

There are different ranges for different tests, too. They are not as you note, objective. I question the validity as well, because people who are good test takers will do better than those who have test anxiety. The subjective part is supposed to help smooth that out, but it’s subjective!

65 5th Circuit says US ban on handgun sales to adults under age 21 is unconstitutional. The appeals court had previously upheld that same ban in 2012. But that was before the 6-3 conservative majority U.S. Supreme Court handed down a landmark ruling in 2022 that established a new test for assessing modern firearms laws.

The 5th Circus is at it again. I can't wait until another 18 year old loser sprays the entire neighborhood with gunfire from an AR-15.

Or better yet, a four year old finds a loaded gun in mommy's purse, pulls it out, and kills mommy. Or two year old sibling. Either way, I love how guns make us safer.

This is exactly what our founding fathers dreamed of. Toddlers killing their parents. So when do 10 year-olds get their Constitutional right to have an AR-15?

The 5th Circuit's answer would be from conception.

What about "life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness?" That's in the constitution too.

Apparently, the pursuit of happiness with a gun outweighs anyone else's right to remain alive.

Democrats hammered by ugly unpopularity numbers

J.J. McCullough @JJ_McCullough 21h
The big issue facing Democrats is that no one shills for them but there’s a giant ecosystem of media and influencers who shill for the Republicans. Who goes around saying “Democrats are cool and based?” Left influencers prove coolness by NOT liking Democrats and that’s a problem.

J.J. McCullough @JJ_McCullough 21h
This is the whole problem with “Joe Rogan of the Left” discourse. People just want a cool left-wing guy, but the problem the podcast bros have solved for the GOP is that they’re cool AND partisan. It’s not their ideology that’s useful, it’s their outspoken love for Trump.

J.J. McCullough @JJ_McCullough 21h
Is there any popular conservative influencer who aggressively dislikes Trump the way, say, the Chapo boys aggressively dislike the Democrats? I don’t think such a person exists, but there are so many creators like that on the left.

103 IQ seems to have a range of boasting and then people stop.

Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at January 30, 2025 06:27 PM (2VST1)

Now it seems the helicopter crew were using NVGs.

The route the Black Hawk was using has an altitude cap of 200ft.

There was an American Airlines flight directly behind the incident aircraft. Lirio thinks PAT25 mistook this AA jet for Bluestreak.

As the moment of impact approached, the passenger jet was descending from 500ft through 400ft. And the Black Hawk was busting the altitude cap, readings of 300ft and 350ft were seen.

I'm trying to remember, but I read a piece by somebody a while back about the midwit problem. And he made the case it's not the literal midwits, the average IQs that are the problem, but the slightly above average.

So, a 110 IQ would be about peak midwit as he defines it. These people are smart enough to be dangerous as they old saying goes. Smarter than average and have the most sway over the most people.

The author went on about this communication range. Take a 100 IQ. I can't remember exactly, but it goes something like that person can communicate with a range of 80 - 120. But say, a 150 or 160 is well beyond the 100. They can't communicate. A 110 is like a retard to the 150.

Have always...knock wood...looked younger than my age. When I graduated from nursing school, BSN, during Florence Nightingale's training, I wore my cap proudly to tell my patients that I was charge nurse. I looked about 16yrs and they'd otherwise worry.

I can be deadly calm, the only tell is the tips of my ears turning red, as I say a few words of dissent. I've had doctors and friends (in my prime), after a verbal skirmish with someone, tell me, "I did not know you had a temper." Yes, I do. It is there and I hide it well.

If people don't see you lose your mind often, when you rise up it shocks them mute.

My husband is no longer ever shocked, nor my sons.

My DIL's, however, have never seen that side of me and I hope I keep it that way. My sister-in-laws also don't know what lurks beneath my calm exterior. Let us hope they never do. I ignore a whole lot, by the way, from sister-in-laws on both sides. I am surrounded by idiots, and some vote Dim.

There was something about that I remember reading. You get the "peak of Mt. Stupid" as some called it. The progression goes like this. You start learning something. Once you've learned a little, you get to think you're really smart, and everyone else is dumb. Wow, I'm good. That's the peak of Mt. Stupid.

And then, as you learn more, you begin to realize, wow, this is much more complicated than I thought... You reach the valley of despair. And then you learn more, and reach sort of an enlightened, "a man needs to know his limitations" stage. I'll call that the Feynman stage, "I'm smart enough to know how dumb I am".

Midwits never make it past Mt. Stupid. Only a few get to the Feynman stage.

For the the first part of my life grade school through high school I felt everyone my age was an idiot. I couldn't even understand how they managed to go about their day, successfully breathing and eating for subsentence. I mostly cruised through everything using a few of my braincells.

And then I hit college and very quickly realized, I'm not really that smart. Wow, there's a lot of people smarter than me. My rise to midwittery at that point really required great effort.

And I've just hung on to that mid level throughout my career. There are easily just as many aerospace engineers that are absolutely brilliant and smarter than me than maybe those that aren't. Probably more. I've had to work on other skills, "I'M A PEOPLE PERSON DAMNIT!" to stand out. Also being rigorous in my documentation and notes which some of the real smarties forget or disregard.

I had to snort at people fretting turning 45yrs. I was just hitting my stride. Old age is for the stupids. When I hit 45yrs an ex friend moaned about being middle aged, I informed her that both of my grandmothers lived into their 90's and that did not apply to me.

I don't know who this Rory Steward dope is, but clearly he doesn't know what the Greek word philos (which is translated by some as "friend" or "dear friend")

To equate a total stranger as a dear friend is not just a stretch but a lie. Furthermore, if Rory bothered to read a few more verses he would see that "friend" is defined by an example and distinguished from "servant" which is still a form of familiarity.

Rory should give up trying to be a theologian, the demons within him aren't helping.

322 Can you make a guess at your IQ from your kids' scores?

The oonly reason I even got an IQ test is that the guy who administered it was working on his doctorate and noticed all four of us boys were smarter than your average bear. He had a theory: when this happens, often its one smart parent and one dumb one. So he tested all of us and um, both my parents were skyscraper smart, even my dad who dropped out of high school. I am not sure what he did with his thesis after that.

All I remember of him is that this dude looked a lot like meathead on All in the Family, but was a nicer guy. Like I said I was like 10 so I was pretty young.

Anybody remember the aptitude tests they gave in high school to determine a career path?

Once I learned those had no bearing whatsoever on your grades, I would just make random patterns on the scantron sheet, then read the rest of the time period.

Depends what is causing the back pain. If it’s nerve impingement Lyrica or Gabapentin will give some relief but won’t give you the pain relieving endorphins. Won’t help muscle spasm /muscle pain issues.

I once worked with a flock of nitwits. The job was not stressful, but being around strange women was. One went on her first trip to NYC, ever, and came back bragging and showing off an ugly "designer" bag she snagged for a couple of hundred. I had been to NYC many times.

I patiently asked where she found this deal. Yep. On a street. I tried to explain to her it was a fake and she got upset and said it was not. I gave up as this is how I deal with nitwits and don't like to make them weep. Sometimes it is not worth my time.

Vox Day popularized the term, which refers to someone with an (approximate) IQ of 110, which is smart enough to do well in school, and to act as a hall monitor. This marginal level above average is what fuels the arrogance, as well as the desire to stamp out all non-conformant thought.

WE have evolved ... beyond older tribalism (a necessity in older times?) to the new "no more Jew or Gentile, all one body" of Christianity.

BUT there is still good and evil. USA was a unique (divine?) opportunity for a Christian nation founded in Liberty. (philos is "brotherly love"?) Yet not a nation that demanded Christianity (at the federal level, state level kinda did demand church attendance in early days as I understand it)

Hopefully a return to more state power will make red states prosper, and blue states continue to fail. But it's a long road ... to that nirvana.

That's not to say you have to hold a credential to get there, but it's a decent, procedural marker to determine if you really understood a major plank of getting credentialed in the first place. Going through lots of study to conclude you really don't know sh*t but have acquired some tools to pick your way through sometimes is an invaluable lesson.

389 >the tester gave me extra points because as a very little boy

IQ used to be measured as "intellectual age over chronological age". Children develop at different rates, and precocious children often revert to the mean by adulthood. But by then they've been told their entire lives that they're The Smartest Kid in Class and it becomes their identity.

>That scrunt, Lorelai from Gilmore Girls

Shows like that are always, always, always author self-insert. Lorelei Sr. is who Amy Sherman-Palladino thinks she is, Lorelei Jr. is who Amy Sherman-Palladino thought she was in high school, and in the crypto-sequel Bunheads the Kelly Bishop character is who Amy Sherman-Palladino thinks she is now.

Also, Buffy is Marti Noxon and Joss Whedon is whichever vampire she's banging at the time.

393 FedEx is a pain in my ass. I swear they are terrible company. It’s damn near impossible to get a live person on the phone and their virtual assistant is useless.
