France's Leftwing Failure Macron Considered Sending Troops to Greenland... to Fight America

Well this is the end of NATO then, isn't it?

France has discussed with Denmark sending troops to Greenland in response to United States President Donald Trump's repeated threats to annex the Danish territory, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said.

Asked about calls to send EU troops to Greenland, Barrot said in an interview with France's Sud Radio that France had "started discussing [troop deployment] with Denmark," but that it was not "Denmark's wish" to proceed with the idea.

Barrot's comments came as Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen was in the middle of a lightning tour of European capitals to drum up support from allies in dealing with Trump.

The newly inaugurated U.S. president has become increasingly focused on claiming the huge Arctic island, and has pointedly not ruled out using military force or economic coercion to take it from Denmark later in the day.

Frederiksen was in Berlin and Paris Tuesday morning to speak with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron, respectively, and is set to meet NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte in Brussels.

"If Denmark calls for help, France will be there," he said. "The European borders are sovereign whether it's north, south, east and west ... nobody can allow themselves to mess around with our borders."

Barrot also said that during a European Union foreign ministers' meeting in Brussels on Monday, his counterparts had expressed their "very strong support" for Copenhagen and "were ready to consider [sending troops]" if needed.

The French foreign minister, however, said he did not believe the U.S. would invade Greenland. "It won't happen, people don't invade EU territories," he said.

Okay, you convinced me-- now I want to invade Greenland.

Macron gave an interview with an "influencer," hoping to ingratiate himself with the Yutes.

It didn't go great.

Macron's TikTok disaster: Bid to look cool backfires after president chats with 'influencer' who calls him a 'dwarf married to his teacher' who 'runs a country the size of a potato'

Emmanuel Macron's attempt to look cool online backfired after he was spotted chatting to an influencer who previously called him a dwarf who is married to his teacher.

In a clip that is making its rounds on social media, the French President is seen chatting to a content creator known as S4iintt on TikTok.

In the video, the man can be heard complaining that he had been fined £75 at a motorway toll booth for using his phone to pay at the terminal.

Facing his camera, he recounted his experience a few days earlier near Tours where he had three points taken off his driving licence because he had violated highway code which forbids holding your phone in your hand at toll booths or red lights.

The video, viewed hundreds of thousands of times, gained so much attention that it eventually reached the ears of Macron, who took the time to respond to it on TikTok, in a short video taken in selfie mode.

'I think that by 2025, you should be able to pay tolls using your phone,' Macron said coolly.

'I've passed the file on to the interior minister and we're going to sort it out collectively. Thank you for the alert.'

Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau has since confirmed that he has received the order and intends to respond positively to the president's request.

But little did Macron know, the social media personality also once dubbed him a 'dwarf married to his French teacher' at the helm of a 'country the size of a potato crisp', among other insults.

The spectacle drew sharp criticism from commentators.

One radio host quipped: 'By offering a presidential platform to the first imbecile who comes along, Macron undermines the credibility of France.'

Others accused him of prioritising social media stunts over pressing economic and political challenges.

President Macron's decision to collaborate with the content creator was intended to bridge the gap between the political elite and the younger generation.

However, the choice of platform and influencer has been met with skepticism and ridicule, and the initiative, aimed at connecting with younger voters, has spectacularly backfired, leading to a significant decline in his approval ratings.

Critics argue that the move appears insincere and highlights a disconnect between the president and the public.

Oh, apparently the European press is hiding something about this influencer.

Big shock.

Turns out he's Islamic, and he didn't just call France a "country the size of a potato." He mockingly added, "...and which is going to come to change Islam?"

In other words, he's defying this GILF-marrying dwarf to come get some from his Islamist, terrorist pals.

It's time to pivot away from Europe. It's lost. It's gone.

Meanwhile:

Federal workers say they'll sabotage Trump's plan by coming into work but then just basically sitting around and posting extremist talking points on the internet.

Which is what they do at home, and what they did before they were allowed to "work" from home anyway.

98 France's Leftwing Failure Macron Considered Sending Troops to Greenland... to Fight America

Recall... Macron was reportedly considering sending French troops to Ukraine until Putin said he'd target them first and the Legislature asked if he'd lost his fucking mind. Apparently Macron just really wants to get a bunch of troops killed.
Posted by: I used to have a different nic at January 29, 2025 05:35 PM (ExV1e)

That started when Putin decided he was tired of the French troops hanging out in Kharkov and put a missile into their HQ killing the son or relative of some French brass. After he started speaking on this and visited Odessa he struck a drone factory a half an hour after Macron left the facility.

its such a joke, the French plan was for his 20000 men (if he has that many) to have little bases on the Donets river which is hundreds of miles long. Russia could just drive around them and take the rest of the country.

The fear is that China will make deals to mine there. This would be appealing to Denmark since it does not have the cash or interest to deal with Greenland and support it, it would also be appealing to the Greenlandites (Greenlandies?) because they want development.

But if China mines, they will use Chinese labor, and they will build ports and infrastructure, and they will import security. And they will start (over) fishing, and in two years they will control the place with a full military port and airfield.

So the only solution is to keep China OUT, but the only way to do that is to push USA in.

180 I find this hilarious. We already have a Space Force base there. The reddit corpse was reeeing last night about Emperor Trump.

I can see them lined up like it is WWI with bayonets. Shoulder to shoulder. Probably 2' shorter than our Marines seen laughing before mowing 'em down.

My family noted in Austria that some of the EU countries, other than Germany, make short and tiny men. My American men are all at least 6'3" and not tiny. In line to Marie Antoinette's family summer home one of my sarcastic men commented on they could see why they were invaded by Germany.

Get real, Macron. Eat a macaroon and soothe your elderly wifeman. Have some wine.

I honestly think President Trump threw this out to set their hair on fire: obtaining Greenland, the state of Canada, and the Gulf of America. Sort of a smoke grenade first before the big one.

I don't mind invading Greenland but don't really want to deal with Canada on the payroll. No offense to Canadians as I like Canada...even Quebec City. Don't like poutine.

As far as the Gulf of America is concerned I don't care.

President Trump, in one week 2 days, has set everyone's hair on fire while I roast marshmallows and make smores. I love it!

The Frog Army is gonna have to go to Greenland via boat, because they don't have ANY strategic airlift, they have less than 30 of the Airbus A400, basically a C-130 on steroids for tactical airlift, with a max capacity of about 35-40 tons. They have almost as many VIP Transports as actual combat transports.

The US has about 230 C-17s with about an 85 ton capacity.

243 You have to look at things from the perspective that the US is currently being watched very closely across the globe. Those countries teetering towards nationalism who aren't quite there (Austria, Germany, Georgia, Romania, even the Netherlands) are fixated on what happens here next. Those currently in power in those various countries are scared shitless. Those looking to re-invigorate their sovereignty are cheering us on. But, those countries (like France, UK, Italy, Greece) that are portraying the status quo all know how fast it can all go to hell.

Personally, I think the EU is a collection of teetering dominos at the moment. The second a few start to fall, it gains momentum, and even Macron's France isn't safe from full blown nationalism. The arsehole cop I talked to lied to me about where I could catch the stopped Metro for this march. He was shorter than me and I did not know he was lying.

If I knew I would have stripped him of his little shoulder pad things. Their riot uniform was tres chic. Yet I have seen them in real riots hiding behind what looks like the tops of garbage bins. They have to pay for their own gear, radio and shields. Or did during a time of riots.

Possibly, but a meeting engagement in the Benelux area that would of resulted would probably favor the Germans and they could use French gas stations for their tanks. Most of the tank encounters in the real war resulted in victory because the resupply service in French sucked and even the big Char tanks had to fall back to reload and the Germans didn't and moved on. High command was extremely clunky and any retirement would extend the line defending massively.
