Actually, Fauci wasn't "wrong" about covid being created in a lab, dullard. He knew it was created at the Wuhan lab because he illegally funded the Wuhan lab to weaponize bat viruses. He lied.

And Cillizza was man enough to recognize its implications for his previous "reporting." Cillizza followed up the CIA assessment with this: "Which, if you're keeping track, is what Donald Trump and lots of prominent conservatives -- most notably Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton -- have been saying for a very long time now. And, candidly, they have taken a lot of s**t for it. Including from me." He even added: "My belief back then was that if this was a debate between Donald Trump and Anthony Fauci on the origins of a pandemic-level virus, I was going to go with the guy who spent his entire career studying this stuff, not the reality TV-star-turned-president." And: "Except, it now appears that the reality TV-star-turned-president was right. And Anthony Fauci was wrong."These are deeply stupid, ignorant, lazy, and most of all narcissistic people. It seemed weird to me that our soldiers would be war-gaming or whatever WITH Chi Nah, but then I thought "Hmmm, our military has its own bio-weapons research."
So I figgered that was a half-truth from the slanty-eyed commies. They were perhaps saying American military SCIENTISTS brought the woohoo virus with them, and it somehow got out of the lab.
I still think that's more likely true, that OUR scientists made the damn thing, and when it leaked, the Chinese were sorta left holding the bag, sorta unfairly.

It really is a perfect storm, because if someone does stick their head up to offer opposition, then that's the person who will end up taking a lot of the heat on what corruption is exposed going forward. No one wants that "Scarlet Letter" so they are all sitting around with their heads down, hoping this all blows over.
And, Trump is taking full advantage of the situation. He shouldn't have used a garbage truck as a campaign prop. It should have been a bulldozer.

I do know people who died from the Wuhan Flu, but it was kind of the last thing, not like they were perfectly healthy and then dropped off. They were all in ill health and/or very aged. My uncle in his 80s with alzheimer's for instance.

Among many things my dad was an Army Combat medic. He saw and went through a lot. Toughest man I ever knew. There are probably a lot of things that eventually killed him, but it was mostly the isolation from his family during COVID that did it. I haven't had a problem with an Uber driver...but I did have one who had the military demeanor and when I asked him if he served his told me he had been special forces and had served in "downtown Iran".
Now...I do assume he was in the military because I've known enough people that have...and he did something boring during his time which is fine of course not everyone goes off to fight. But if you are going to jazz up your service into something heroic why not at least make it believable?

I haven't had a problem with an Uber driver...but I did have one who had the military demeanor and when I asked him if he served his told me he had been special forces and had served in "downtown Iran".
Now...I do assume he was in the military because I've known enough people that have...and he did something boring during his time which is fine of course not everyone goes off to fight. But if you are going to jazz up your service into something heroic why not at least make it believable?
