Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | "Star" of Fake Captain America Movie: I Don't Think That Captain America Should Represent America, But Instead Good Things Like Truth and IntegrityBefore the new quote that will doom the already-doomed $350 million+ movie that's tracking on the same level as the bomb The Eternals, I'll just say that this isn't Anthony Mackie's invention. Marvel Comics is a leftwing asylum for untalented transgenders and fake lesbians (white women who get jobs by claiming to be LGBT, even if they're married to dudes), and they hate America and have long used Captain America to attack America. He's Captain Anti-America, and has been for decades. Like the time where he unmasked the head of the terrorist organization The Serpent Society and it turned out to be... then-President Richard Nixon. Anthony Mackie played Captain America's partner, the Falcon. But Marvel decided that for some reason the world needed a black Captain America, so they gave the Falcon the White Man's hand-me-down mantle. This failed in the comics, and it's about to fail spectacularly at the box office. And it will not help that Anthony Mackie is promoting the film -- or anti-promoting it, actually -- by saying that Captain America is too good a character to represent evil America.
MACKIE: This isn't about easy decisions, senator. SENATOR: You just don't understand. MACKIE: I'm a back man carrying the stars and stripes. What don't I understand? Every time I pick this thing up, I know there are millions of people out there who are gonna hate me for it. Even now, here, I feel it. The judgment, the stares, and there's nothing I can do to change it. Yet, I'm still here. No super-serum, no blonde hair or blue eyes. (...) MACKIE: You've got to do better senator!Even Pitch Meeting Guy, who is no conservative, but rather a center-left liberal Canadian who speaks good French, mocked the show's insistence that people who "used violence against civilians to advance their political agenda" were not terrorists. The fake movie, which opens next month (Black History month, natch), is selling very few advanced tickets. According to box office analyst Luiz Fernando (via ComicBookMovie.com), Brave New World's pre-sales since tickets went available last Friday are nearly one-and-a-half times better than the Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels. However, the fourth installment in the Captain America film series' early returns are on par with Eternals and "nowhere near" the maligned Phase Five opener, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Brave New World's struggles to surpass Eternals' and Quantumania's pre-sales are cause for concern considering how both films finished at the box office. Eternals ended with $402 million worldwide, with critics and audiences lamenting it as one of the MCU's most disappointing entries. Meanwhile, Quantumania, which stars the since-fired Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror, started well with $120.4 million domestically during its four-day opening in 2023, the best of the Ant-Man trilogy. However, Quantumania's momentum slowed significantly among middling reviews (46% critical rating on Rotten Tomatoes), ending with $476.1 million at the global box office against a $330 million budget, only earning a small profit. To hell with Marvel. To hell with Disney. To hell with ABC and George Stephanopolous and David Muir. May their stock price fall to $40. And to hell with the entire demonic media. Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

Another Marvel project is Armor Wars. To be centered around War Machine. It's been in development for 5 years. It's being rehauled completely because Secret Invasion, which came out in the last couple of years, was a huge disaster that everyone hated and it was supposed to lead into Armor Wars. Long pre-production periods get expensive. Writers, directors, art design that keeps going and restarting. Disney had a good 2024, but 2025 feels...messy. I seriously doubt they did that for free. And yet, there was never any follow-up on how much THEY got paid by the Harris campaign to spout their nonsense.

That was a calculated risk: you weren't supposed to like Azrael. From last thread:
--- [Nixon] did not even know about the Plumber's breakin until several days after. It was on the Watergate tapes and thus made him guilty of obstruction of justice, not the ordering the breakin. It was underling Dean that did that apparently without authorization from either the campaign (Mitchell disclaimed any knowledge of it) or the WH (Erlichman nor Haldeman knew anything about it apparently). ... Some suspect that the leader of the op (ex CIA) to break into the Watergate designed the op to fail by using shoddy tradecraft. One theory was it was done in part because Dean married an escort that had worked for someone at the DNC and the op was to get those records. Posted by: whig at January 28, 2025 04:22 PM (ctrM5) --- I'm pretty sure that Dean, or somebody, punked Nixon into a coverup with the idea that this would look "bad for his administration". I now think that Watergate was 100% setup by the IC for Nixon. Probably, the Dems promised that they would look away for a good 20+ years, if they could remove Nixon...or something. Bounding Into Comics has a large article on this, and how he's right to say this, and Captain America is about ideals, and not the nation. As one bit of evidence, they include a quote from him confronting an "evil rightwing alternate timeline" Captain America in the 1980s:
Listen to me, all of you out there! You were told...America is the greatest country in the world! That Americans were the greatest people – that America could be refined like silver, could have the impurities hammered our of it, and shine more brightly! He went on about how precious America was – how you needed to make sure it remained great! And he told you anything was justified to preserve that great treasure, that pearl of great price that is America! Well, I say America is nothing! Without its ideals – its commitment to the freedom of all men, America is a piece of trash! A nation is nothing! A flag is a piece of cloth! I fought Adolf Hitler not because America was great, but because it was fragile! But because it was fragile! I knew that liberty could be easily snuffed out here as in Nazi Germany! As a people, we were no different from them! Posted by: Intercepted DU Transmissions brought by the Intrepid AoS Liaison at January 28, 2025 04:31 PM (JCZqz) 134

156 People always, ALWAYS forget the box offices takings are split about fifty fifty between the studios and the theaters exhibiting the movies. Cut the box office take in half before you compare it to the budget.
Posted by: ace at January 28, 2025 04:33 PM (KRtlO) ======= The generic number I've always seen is 60/40, 60 to the studios. Smaller films won't see that. I remember reading the unprecedented deal that Lucas got for Episode 1 where he was getting 90% of ticket sales the first week. I really liked the One Piece live action, which surprised me. Apparently the One Piece creator was so devoted to the series, he did that Japanese thing of making work your whole life, and basically shunted his family to the side to keep up with demand. He had a breakdown and I think the Naruto creator had to come in and help him finish for a bit. Supposedly there is a real treasure that is the One Piece, it's not just "the treasure is finding friends!"or some crap. Force the creator to finish the series already! From earlier:
Saw "Wolf Man" yesterday. Kinda flat. Kinda Meh. Some good scenes. The opening worked really well. Not really a "Wolf Man movie" though. Leigh Whannell clearly wanted to film a re-remake of "The Fly" but not call it The Fly. Follows Cronenberg's film pretty closely. Also, "Wolf Man" doesn't look like a wolf at all. He looks like a diseased version of Jack Nicholson's werewolf in "Wolf" but with way worse make-up. Julia Garner also is terrible in this. I thought she was a pretty good actress when watching "Ozark", but I guess not. Wait for streaming if you're interested. Posted by: naturalfake at January 28, 2025 05:15 PM (iJfKG) 427

So it’s it’s illegal to freeze the raping of the Treasury by left wing unemployables? It’s so stupid that there probably is a law against it and it passed with Republican support.

May I direct Democrats to their previous playbook:
secession /sĭ-sĕsh′ən/ noun The act of seceding. The withdrawal of 11 Southern states from the Union in 1860–1861, precipitating the US Civil War. President Donald Trump ordered a freeze starting Tuesday on potentially trillions of dollars in federal funding to Americans, impacting everything from education grants to small businesses loans -- and sparking accusations that he is violating the constitution. The order was issued by the White House budget office in a memo a week into Trump's second term.It was not clear in the memo, signed by acting director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Matthew Vaeth, how such a pause on disbursements of funding will work or for how long.

Back when MAGA was only 20% of the country, when they deliberately told us to F*ck Off, there was still a measurable hit on their bottom line.
Now that MAGA is apparently 58% of the country, it seems like doubling down on a losing strategy is only going to cause them to lose money MUCH faster. I guess the HR people are now truly in charge of the business side. Posted by: Pillage Idiot at January 28, 2025 05:16 PM (HlyYF) 438

A few notes...
Keep in mind that the Secret Empire arc that had Cap as Nomad and Nixon as the villain led immediately to the writer getting canned for Jack Kirby to take over, all his other Marvel books taken, and him fleeing the country for a few years. And they still didn't replace him with Sam, but had Sam train a young white guy named Roscoe to replace Steve, who was promptly brutally murdered and Steve took the job back. Over and done in a few months. Sam has been Cap 3 times in comics. Once in the 90s in a times part story set in the 70s era written by noted liberal psychopath Mark Waid, once when Steve aged out due to being trapped in another universe for decades until that was fixed, which was a liberal shitshow that had the Red Skull be Jordan Peterson, Steve be replaced by a Nazi sympathizing version of him from another universe and led to an issue recalled for slurs printed about the Tea Party that violated decency codes, and now, when he's not the only Captain America but "co-captain" with Steve. Sales haven't been robust. I actually think this was Mackie pandering to the foreign box office, which Captain America is a tough sell for and he's a tougher one. US troops were raised from every US state IIRC even without counting the freed slaves that were put in the USCT. Posted by: Oldcat at January 28, 2025 05:28 PM (n7h9X) 450
