The Morning Report — 1/27/25

PritzkerFlies.jpg

Good morning kids. It's been one hell of a week, hasn't it? One non-stolen election where for the first time in my lifetime it really seems as if we at a minimum will slam on the brakes and perhaps even have a shot at throwing the crazy train of America's 200-year swan dive towards dissolution into reverse. Much as I loved and appreciated the Ronald Reagan years, it was because he at least halted the incompetence and ineptitude of Jimmy Carter while engendering a sustained economic boom time. And yet, we back slid for a generation. Yes, "it's the economy, stupid" but so much more goes into our security, sanity and lives that we collectively let slip away beginning with the cultural rot that took hold in the 60s and metastasized right up until the present day. Despite that and the brainwashing of several generations of Americans to hate their heritage, country and even themselves,

Somehow, some way, a very large swathe of the citizenry, across generational and cultural/racial divides have taken a good look around and decided that what they are living through and witnessing is just not right. Maybe that explains in a profound way why Trump won and maybe more importantly why Chlamydia dip Harris and the Dems Lost. Even with that, my glass half empty side still reflects why I'm not so sanguine about Los Angeles and California in general even after an entire city has been turned into a smoldering run that the citizens will perhaps at best change deck chairs on the Titanic by blaming Newsom and Bass and not on the madness between their ears, which is of course the same madness between the ears of whoever might replace them.

But I digress because this story alone is indicative of the Trump effect and what it portends for enemies foreign and domestic alike, please God!

President Trump vowed to launch a trade war with Colombia and impose an “emergency 25% tariff” on Sunday after the South American country turned back two US military deportation flights.

“I was just informed that two repatriation flights from the United States, with a large number of Illegal Criminals, were not allowed to land in Colombia,” Trump wrote Sunday.

“This order was given by Colombia’s Socialist President Gustavo Petro, who is already very unpopular amongst his people,” he said, adding that Petro’s decision has “jeopardized the National Security and Public Safety of the United States.”

. . . He also called for a travel ban, visa revocations on Colombian government officials, visa sanctions on party members and government supporters, enhanced customs and border protection inspections of any Colombian national and banking and financial sanctions.

Update, the tinpot greasy bastard has knuckled under.

The Colombian government “agreed to all” of President Donald Trump’s terms regarding the “unrestricted acceptance of all illegal aliens from Colombia” who are being deported from the United States. In a press release, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt explained that based on the agreement, “fully drafted IEEPA tariffs and sanctions” would be “held in reserve” and not signed unless the Colombia government failed to honor the agreement.Leavitt added that “visa sanctions” issued by the State Department would remain in place “until the first planeload of Colombian deportees is successfully returned.”

Leavitt also noted that “today’s events make clear to the world that America is respected again.” The press release comes after Colombian President Gustavo Petro backed down on refusing to accept two deportation flights from the U.S. and said he would “send his presidential plane to personally pick up the deported migrants.” “The government of Colombia has agreed to all of President Trump’s terms, including the unrestricted acceptance of all illegal aliens from Colombia returned from the United States, including on U.S. military aircraft, without limitation or delay,” Leavitt said in a statement. “Based on this agreement, the fully drafted IEEPA tariffs and sanctions will be held in reserve, and not signed, unless Colombia fails to honor this agreement.”

And speaking of tinpot greasy dictatorial bastards. This kind of shit cannot go unpunished. Over to you President Trump!

Pritzker said, “Well, let me start by being clear that when we’re talking about violent criminals who have been convicted and who are undocumented, we don’t want them in our state. We want them out of the country. We hope they do get deported. And if that’s who they’re picking up, we’re all for it. They show up with a warrant, and we’re going to hand over people who are in our prisons or in our jails who fit that description. Now, what they’re also doing, though, and it’s quite disturbing, is they’re going after people who are law-abiding, who are holding down jobs, who have families here who may have been here for a decade or two decades, and they’re often our neighbors and our friends. And why are we going after them? These are not people who are causing problems in our country. What we need is a path to citizenship for them. We need to secure our border. We need to get rid of the violent criminals, but we also need to protect people, at least the residents of Illinois and all across the nation, who are just doing what we hope that immigrants will do. He added, “We also have a law on the books in Illinois that says that our local law enforcement will stand up for those law-abiding, undocumented people in our state who are doing the right thing. And we’re not going to help federal officials just drag them away because somebody pointed at them and said, oh, that person’s brown or that person’s not from here. Check it out. Maybe they’re undocumented.”

This schmutzig, greasy blob of Pus, lipids, gall and tyranny's "state law" is in complete contravention of not only sanity but of several hundred years of established judicial and legal precedence. And, it makes zero difference how long an illegal alien has been here and not committing crimes, their mere presence here is a crime in and of itself, regardless of what this insipid cloud of flatus and halitosis spouts to the contrary. Preventing federal authorities from doing their duty is also a Federal offense and PRitzker, should be arrested and tried on every single count with the book thrown at him for each count. however many years times each illegal alien he harbors and obstructs the apprehension of. If it means revoking Illionois' statehood and the dissolution of the state government and being turned into a territory to be governed from DC by responsible individuals. Non-leftists.

On this issue alone, the political wind is at Trump's back and is the primary reason he won a landslide victory. To stop this madness.

Sitz-Pritzker is a prevaricating lying tub of goo when he talks about criminals vs non-criminals. He and his party have done their best to shield even the most hardened murderers, rapists, thugs, drug smugglers and human traffickers from arrest and deportation.

Despite Colorado still having to suffer under the rule of Jared Penis, maybe Coloradans can breathe a bit easier thanks to Donald Trump.

Federal agents rounded dozens of members of Tren de Aragua in an overnight raid on a “makeshift nightclub” in Denver — after the vicious Venezuelan prison gang terrorized the city and the suburb of Aurora.

The DEA said agents in Colorado interrupted an “invite-only party” where dozens of the gangbangers were cutting lose in Adams County — just outside Denver city limits.

The busts netted cash, weapons, guns and drugs — including Tusi or “pink cocaine,” a powerful narcotic that the gang has played a major role in distributing across the US.

Video released by the DEA’s Rocky Mountain Division showed a white bus full of the busted gang members being escorted on the snowy roads by law enforcement vehicles. . .

. . . Similar enforcement operations have taken place around the country in recent days, rounding up some 600 illegal immigrants in sanctuary cities from coast to coast including New York state, according to ICE.

ICE New York agents took several migrant criminals into custody, including Gokhan Adriguzel, a 30-year-old Turkish national who is a “known or suspected terrorist,” according to a release from the agency.

On Saturday in West New York — across the Hudson River from Manhattan — officers stormed an apartment building near 61st Street and Harrison Place around 7:30 a.m., surveillance footage showing them peeking at mailboxes and then heading upstairs, ABC News reported.

Of course as the saying goes, personnel is policy, and Kristi Noem has been confirmed as the head of DHS, under which ICE and CBP operate, so hopefully she will be ruthless in the continued round up and repatriation of every single illegal alien in this country, regardless of how long they've been here and if they are portrayed as American as frijoles and molé. Send them back. Let them get in line like my mother and my grandparents did, and then prove they are not a burden nor a threat. Meh, we should now require basic proficiency in English as a requirement to entry.

And while we're at it, pet peeve: can we end bilingualism once and for all?! Unless every single language and dialect is required on all signs, packaging and everywhere else the insane law dictates an option for Spanish, then English only everywhere.

Interesting and infuriating piece up top.

The bloated nonprofit sector feeds off American wealth and abuses fundamental freedoms to undermine both liberty and prosperity. Time for some political chemotherapy–but so long, and thanks for all the mushrooms!

While certainly people and companies have the right to back any cause or group they want. It then behooves us and our elected officials to designate some or in many instances all of those causes, subversive criminal enterprises, i.e. Black Lives Matter. And that would take political will as well as the will to fight it ut in the courts which as we know all too well are corrupt all the way to SCOTUS, and also lack the will to do their duties, for a number of reasons.

In any case, who gets to decide who and what is a subversive criminal element? Well we've seen that picture in the wake of the stolen 2020 election and the establishment of an American gulag archipelago that Trump's re-RE-election please God will dismantle.

2 Good morning, one and all! The weather is getting slightly warmer and we have a group of vultures at my house who have decided that the trees in my yard are a great area to nest in overnight. Honestly, I don't mind but once in a while they drop their food in my yard and the dogs try to get it.

The news about the forced deportations are great to hear. Sadly, we don't live in a more ideal world where awkward questions would be asked of officials from the previous administration why this was not done since it was so easy.

4 JJ, you should look into the smears against Trump and Hegseth regarding the removal of training classes in I think the USAF about the Tuskegee Airmen. It was irrelevant DEI material but it's racist to remove.

11 Hegseth was quickly confronted with a USAF kerfuffle, when they decided to eliminate training segments on Tuskegee Airmen and Women Pilots, and then use their own action to leak to the press what a racist misogynist Trump is. Hegseth restored the videos to training, and now has an investigative path to follow. RedState has more on this, including a closed command facebook group discussing how to "resist" Trump.

25 What I have found interesting is the relatively lack of leftist protests — so far — for these actions. It will happen, of course but it also appears the general public won’t buy into it. The leftist propaganda press will highlight those protests, but since very few people trusts or even pays attention to that propaganda press any longer these protests will carry little weight.

Zimmerman (Behind The Black) makes a good point, and explains why Margaret Brennan is so obviously frustrated. She (and the activist leftist Propaganda Press generally) wants her "reporting" to be echoed in the streets, and it is not happening.

I suspect "not just right" was a feeling of discomfort. High prices, high crime, etc. I've always said no real change will ever happen until the right people experience personal discomfort and make the connection to its source.

Whether that connection was actually made is debatable. But unless it can be proven Trump stole Kamala's election from her it seems like enough people did.

    For now. YMMV

In one of Santenello's videos he's doing a ride with Glendale AZ cops. He mentions the "defund the police" nonsense then goes on to talk about how he was out of the country for a few years, traveled several countries, etc. He then went on to say something like, "I've seen bad policing. You've no idea how bad it is in other countries."

The busts netted cash, weapons, guns and drugs — including Tusi or “pink cocaine,” a powerful narcotic that the gang has played a major role in distributing across the US.

Since this happened a week after Trump's inauguration it means the Biden Junta knew about these sorts of parties and decided to let them happen.

And I suspect soon we will find out that some elected Dems are members of these gangs and many more are getting a paycheck from them.

The insanity in CA ER's been going on for at least a decade if not longer. Urgent care requires cash up front, generally $20, though it may be more, now. Funny thing, that up front cost seems to be enough to weed out the people who see the ER as a way to get a free doctor visit. I might add, CA ER's, you see the illegals, they all have really expensive cell phones but, somehow, they don't have the cash to pay to see a doctor.

I think two things are operating here:

    1) There's no denying that Mahomes is a great QB, but there's also no denying that he's now the fair-haired, golden child of the NFL. He makes them a lot of money. So maybe he gets some leeway to operate in. Between him and Tay-Tay the Chiefs are the New and Improved "America's Team".

    2) There's no denying that Andy Reid's a great coach, but there's also no denying that his teams tend to play kinda dirty with general play involving fouls and stuff that should get penalties. But, often don't. I think it's as simple as this. He's the kind of coach that lets his team know it's okay to commit penalties rather than let the other team score or make a good play. Make the refs make the call. If they don't, great. If they do , meh, the other team didn't score or get a first down or whatever.

194 Sorry, awarding the catch to the Chiefs player when he clearly had no control over the ball and not overturning it on replay was huge error.
Posted by: Chuck Martel at January 27, 2025 08:45 AM (fs1hN)

I don’t think that call was Chiefs-specific… the modern NFL stinks because no one knows the definition of a catch and you see that kind of nonsense in almost every game (complete the process of the catch lawyer type BS). The NFL painted themselves into a corner years ago when they said it can be a catch even if the ball touches the ground as long as the “receiver controls the ball” and it doesn’t move…. That started us down this stupid road. It should be: if the ball hit the ground it’s not a catch, period

195 Getting young people to get passionate and advocate for what never was and never will be, a weaponized youth. They are impressionable, which is why the focus. They want $20 an hour for entry level jobs, and they want open borders. They can’t grok the connection. Schools “teach” them how to emote, regurgitate talking points and thought ending cliches. Everyone gets a trophy. No coherent world view, just a mutual admiration society on how “special” they are. They are taught what to think, not how to think.

One of the best things you can do for children is to teach argumentation or rhetoric. The Art of Persuasion. Logical errors. They can’t always find the Truth, but they wil be able to spot Bullshit. This is a critical skill. Make a game out of it. “Spot the Logical Fallacy” when they watch the usual suspects on TV. Once you know what to look for, they will find it everywhere, because it is a firehose of bullshit everywhere you go.

It happened because of electoral fuckery by the failing conservative government. They were hated for talking a big game but governing like leftists; but they were able to sabotage support for Nigel Farag’s Reform party. They split the conservative vote, many were disgusted and just dropped out, and the far left took over with the support of only about 20% of UK voters.

How do they get away with hiring only males? The federal government was “nudging” employers to hire females as far back as the 1970s. Government contracts, had to have a certain percentage or no contract for you.

They have a carve out, obviously. But why? Let’s make it 50/50 male female. Give everyone what they want, good and fucking hard. Basketball too. Baseball. Etc.

All politics is local. Can't help but feel - or is it be? - pensive as I read about all of the Biden-Harris "programs" put on steroids - formerly O&Joe programs - through the American Rescue Plan Act (2021) & Inflation Reduction Act (2022).

For example, the Affordable Care Act was greatly boosted by both:

    >KFF, Inflation Reduction Act Health Insurance Subsidies: What is Their Impact and What Would Happen if They Expire? Published July 26, 2024

    >And, HHS dot gov reports - Over 24 Million Consumers Selected Affordable Health Coverage in ACA Marketplace for 2025

In part, "...many middle-income people and families who were previously ineligible for financial assistance have access to lower premiums after tax credits, and many modest-income Americans now have more help paying for premiums. Due to a court order issued on December 9, 2024, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients and consumers with certain other immigration statuses listed below are no longer eligible for Marketplace coverage if they live in these states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia."

In the meantime, states such as PA, which can offer such Medicare/Medicaid coverage, have had mobile outreach and other sources enrolling people in 'affordable care' like crazy.

And so, the progressives have woven yet another huge, troubling financial web. And, between the ACA battle and Foreign Service v. Defense funding, their supporting nonprofits and foundations shall join in against the new administration, at least in part for their own very best interests including defined benefit plans and medical care/insurance, and it will become 'messy.'
