Paul Ryan REFUSES to congratulate Trump on his COMEBACK election win

Rebel News CEO @EzraLevant attempted to scrum former Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan in the streets of Davos, Switzerland, at the World Economic Forum. He refused to congratulate U.S. President Donald Trump on his election victory nearly four months ago.

"You refuse to congratulate the president," Ezra said during his heated exchange with Ryan. "No, I refuse to talk to you because you're being obnoxious," replied Ryan. "I'm not being obnoxious, I'm asking a very simple, easy question," Ezra countered.

After repeated deflections when asked about the President, who addressed the Forum Thursday afternoon, Ryan articulates he "does not like 'walk-and-talk' interviews."

"Could I ask you for your thoughts on Donald? Give me a word on Donald Trump," said Ezra. "I'm good," replied the former house speaker.

"Are you optimistic that he'll be a good president?" Ezra asked. "I'm good," he said.

Ezra attempted to seek clarification on why Ryan was a WEF attendee, but did not receive an answer.

"Who are you meeting with? Where's that secret?" No answer.

Posted by: melodicmetal1 at January 23, 2025 08:32 PM (XLfSN)

It wasn’t a pardon. Trump pardoned the convicted J6 hostages, but told Dept of Justice to move to dismiss charges on the prisoners who were not convicted. That gives an opening for fuckery in our Hawaiian judge-ocracy.

Trump got some bad advice on that one. Even if they were dismissed with prejudice, that wouldn’t protect against a future Dem administration from resurrecting the charges and adding new charges. A pardon is stronger.

108 Can anyone explain the small business transparency act that the Supreme Court upheld tonight?
Posted by: Jen the original at January 23, 2025 08:53 PM (Q9Ayt)

The Court didn't uphold it on the merits; it stayed the district court ruling against the Corporate Transparency Act. In a nutshell, the Act requires LLCs and similar entities to provide the names, addresses, and ID of each of the "responsible parties" to the Financial Crimes federal authority (FineCen). It's supposed to be a tool to fight money laundering, but it only applies to businesses with less than 25 employees, so in practice it's just a petty harassment of small businesses, a piece of bipartisan idiocy. I agree with the reasoning of the district judge who struck down the Act, namely that LLCs are creations of state statute, and the feds shouldn't have the power to dive deeply into their membership, but I suspect it will ultimately be upheld.

The USSC declined to permanently block its implementation but it is still on pause nationally anyway due to a separate texas ruling.

As far as what it is, it looks like a large amount of financial reporting rules being placed on small business owners in order to prevent "money laundering" like what the dems do every freaking day anyway.

205 There is a crucial difference in the Wong Kim Ark case in 1898 and the modern challenge. Wong Kim Ark's parents were in the United States legally and the modern challenge is about illegal aliens. As well as being born here the 14th says "and subject to the jurisdiction of the United States". People in the country legally are here under the jurisdiction of the United States, illegals are not. Crucial difference. Even Wikipedia's discussion of the case concedes that.

Amy Comey Barret is not a liberal. She is an institutionalist. In preliminary challenges she votes with the agency which allows "I'm always on the winning side" Roberts to join the libs. However in final rulings she votes with the Constitution and that is why you rarely see 5-4 wins for us, they are almost always 6-3.

This is the basis for the argument by Lysander Spooner in the 1850's that slavery was not constitutional, and could only be considered so by so torturing the language as to make it unintelligible.
I have suspected the omission was due to a compromise between the Southern and Northern state delegates to get an actual conclusion to the convention, however Spooner argued that even if there was some hidden agenda agreed upon by the various delegates, we were stuck with the actual language as written and ratified.
