Bluebell, the snow stopped about the time the sun went down. Estimates vary by location, but the city proper reported 9.5", while the suburb just to the SW of me had about 7. I stepped out about 3 pm, when it was still falling, to get some pics, and I'll bet there were 5 inches outside my door then.

Temps are going to plunge tonight. I'm work from home again tomorrow. But there may be ice on the roads on Thursday, and I don't want to chance driving on that.

I bought a used 4runner on Nov 30th. I introduced her to it and told her, "this is your truck". I've been regularly taking her in the 4runner on short trips and adventures to local parks. Mud, rain, snow, cold... we are out at least twice a week since I got it. She has never had this experience before.

Last week I left Lilah at home and took my wife for a trip to the store (first time we've done this).

It seems that Lilah took me at my word when I told her it was her truck. After we got home, she wouldn't approach my wife for a couple of hours. She wouldn't even look directly at her, just doing squinty side-eyes from across the room.

Oddly enough, when dinner time rolled around, all was forgiven.

138 117. I have very easy keeper horses and lots of pasture, so they all go out in grazing muzzles. The muzzles have a hole in the center so that the horse can eat a little grass instead of gorging themselves. I have never had a horse that didn't easily learn to accept the muzzle as part of turnout and learn to eat with it on. Because everyone is in a muzzle, I don't have other horses pulling it off.

That video is simply two horses, geldings, doing what they always do. Head sabre with each other like twelve year old human boys.

Also, IMO opinion based on 20 years of muzzled horses, that fat pony's muzzle is too small for him.

184 So I've been telling the folks in the tech thread about a little pamphlet I found in the church that was written by a Quaker woman-Mary Channell Stevens- in the early 1900,s. She was apparently a Quaker Bible teacher of adults and she had a very nice way of talking about her love of The Bible and had suggestions on chapters she considers particularly inspiring. One portion she particularly likes is Psalm 4 which she says is "an evening prayer of trust in God and is helpful to read before retiring. Retiring as in sleeping not in retiring from work. 195 I've been to that church. I took my wife to Norway for our honeymoon. I know, not the traditional beach or cruise, but I have family there and we had a really good time. I highly recommend Norway for a vacation.
