So let me get this straight… Three of Trump’s cabinet picks, Kristi Noem, Doug Bergum, and Tulsi Gabbard, have all had their confirmation hearings postponed due to paperwork issues?! They’re blaming both FBI background check delays and a failure of the Office of Government Ethics to complete their reviews. What could possibly be more important for these bureaucrats than completing paperwork on the incoming president’s cabinet secretaries?! This is outrageous. "The man that Schumer and Biden rushed into an 11th hour appointment to head the "Office of Government Ethics" is doing the job he was hired to do:"
There may be a way around this. When Trump tried to install Ratcliffe as the DNI, the Dems stonewalled the confirmation hearings. Trump then appointed Ric Grenell as temporary DNI. He kicked so much butt when he was there that the Dems begged Trump to get Ratcliffe in there to replace Grenell. Can't Trump do this again? Day 1: Either whoever is in charge of these agencies fires the malefactors - or - if that person has not been confirmed yet, Trump fires them on the basis that they're preventing the citizen elected government from doing their job.
Day 2: Launch a class action lawsuit on behalf of all US voters against the malefactors - personally - for damages. I think $1K each should cover it nicely. From RollCall,
"The Intelligence panel bill would reauthorize Section 702 for eight years and would implement a prohibition on the FBI conducting searches of Section 702 information solely designed to find evidence of criminal activity that is unrelated to national security. Privacy advocates argue that provision only encompasses a small fraction of the searches. Those provisions sharply differ from the House Judiciary Committee, which on Wednesday voted on legislation that would renew Section 702 for three more years and would insert a robust warrant requirement when it comes to information on Americans, with certain exceptions." Turner drafted the Intel Cmte Bill. Note the difference between it and the reforming bill from Judiciary. Good riddance. Posted by: whig at January 15, 2025 06:20 PM (ctrM5) 120

Anyone know what would make a truck, in this case a large dodge ram I was driving by, sound like a jet engine?
It would idle with a sound like a jet on the flight line, then when it accelerated from a stop it sounded like a jet spooling up for takeoff. A turbo? Manifold leak? I've never heard anything like it from a ground vehicle before. And it was loud, I could hear it from a half block away. Only at higher driving speeds was the sound level lower than its loud exhaust. I hate all Democrats with the heat of a thousand burning suns. And I include in that hatred everyone who votes for Democrats.
===== There's really no reason to take anyone who votes for the left seriously. Once upon a time Democrats reluctantly tethered themselves to some mild form of reality--they wanted "a safety net" but still understood there were limits on what a nation could spend without recking the game. They also knew that there were 2 genders and that anyone playing the "other" card was either mildly sick or seriously unstable. Finally, they knew at some level that abortion was not ideal, and certainly not something to be celebrated. But today's leftists are economic marxists and cultural destroyers--they are deserving of no respect. Posted by: Crusader at January 15, 2025 06:32 PM (TN0g+) 160
