Gimme the DIGITS, baby!
Evening and morning to all the late toilers and early risers! Yes, it's a Monday . . . but recall the ancient wisdom: Compared to being on the wrong side of the ground, even a bad Monday is pretty small kumquats, nicht wahr? A quick aside to Grumpy & Recalcitrant. I took your advice and penned the letter to the late ex-Mrs. Wolfus No. 2's mother (if you recall, I found out last week my ex-wife died of cancer almost ten years ago).
I told her mother, "She was the love of my life. Not only because she was beautiful, though God knows she was. It was the totality of her, her personality and thought and spirit. I recall the funny faces she used to make, how she told jokes -- often on herself -- with utter glee, her love for the animals in her life, and her kindness to others. . . . I cannot believe that the world no longer has her in it." All of which has the advantage of being true. I dunno if her mother will write back, but it should be interesting if she does. One week until Biden leaves the White House, if he hasn't left already for Delaware. Weather forecast is for very cold weather coming next week as the arctic cold (global warming) hits the eastern half of the country. Its seldom below zero here, but that is forecast. I hear its warm in Southern California, it never rains in Southern California as the song goes.

The number prize Biden could snatch from the White House is the Portrait of George Washington by Gilbert Stuart. A good reproduction could fool most, and Biden will have a prize painting for his Delaware man cave.

It's Day 14 of a bad cold. I decided not to play golf today. One on my favorite courses, but it may get up to 52 degrees today. I need to stay home and veg out.
Getting old sucks. But I have been given the opportunity to repent of all of my sins. So there is that. I, too, have bacon, eggs, and coffee. Posted by: no one of any consequence at January 13, 2025 07:11 AM (ZmEVT) 109

I still don't understand the whole "your AI can't read my books/webpage!" thing. You created it to be read, right? And the AI is reading it, right? Just like if a child was learning from your materials by reading them. And then regurgitating them when asked to write a paper about the topic.

I was complaining about the blast of cold and snow we received, and my friends suggested I make one of my trips to AZ. I was out in the Yuma area about four or five years ago, and CA had just experienced a large (nothing like this) wildfire. Had to drive about twenty miles out to Wellton just to find a motel room.
