A good Woden's Day evening and morning to all the early risers and late toilers out there. Today is the 211th anniversary of the Battle of New Orleans.

What are the chances that DDR7 is going to be like an Oven?

DDR7 and the "Blackwell" chiclet chips are supposedly much faster, but who knows. If it's just faster with the frame gen crap, consoomers are goona be pissed.

Consoomers want one thing from GPU's: Fast rasterization (no stutters) for their 1440p monitors. They don't care about path/ray tracing.

1: This is willfull ignorance. He's with his children a lot. They're mostly all adults now and his youngest is late teens. Dumb, easily refuted take.

2: Heh! If I wanted to keep protected from assassins, I wouldn't be wearing an 'X' anywhere on my body.

3: There very well could be an economic disaster on the way and it will be a long time coming. It won't be because of tariffs. It will be the sins of our ruling class coming home to roost.

37 An epilogue to having my car get totaled just before Christmas. I picked up the police report today and the cops completely exonerated me of having any responsibility and corroborated what I observed as those two nitwits totaled my car. As for nitwit one, his license was revoked, he had no insurance, and was driving a car that didn't belong to him. Nitwit two, sit down, had no proof of his insurance either. I think this goes a long way in explaining why I got such a quick settlement from the insurance company: it was paid for by my insurance company 100% from the uninsured motorist clause in my policy. I wish my insurance company good luck trying to recover any of that money from these nitwits. New Mexico literally has the worst and most irresponsible drivers in the country.

This is a point I would make: can the program do anything useful if it is not connected to the internet on a topic it has not already been fed information on?

I removed that ill-placed sticker like a ninja. Unfortunately, I also removed all the paint under it. So now there's a huge bare-metal spot on that STOP sign.

The Anasazi, the cliff-dwellers, in the Southwest knew about winter sun heating. They tried to locate their cliff towns on the north side of east-west canyons. That way, in summer the overhead sun did not shine directly into their enclaves, preventing them from getting too hot. In the winter, when the sun was lower, toward the south, it would shine in for at least part of the day, for warming.

When I buy my house, I will give extra points to a property situated like that.

111 "If you can handle a bit of a chill and want to save some money, just disable the emergency heat if you can or drop your set point temperature a few degrees. The HP is still providing heating but it's not enough to maintain your set point. "

Looking at the logs, I have 6 minutes of aux heat so far today, so it's not too bad.

Really cold nights like this, we drop and close all the blinds when the sun goes down, and open them about an hour after sunrise.

And with ceiling vents, I forgot for a while to take down the clear magnetic deflectors that we use during the summer. That was making a huge difference in indoor temps, as the deflectors just allowed the discharged warm air to pool around the ceiling.
Possibly the biggest thing that I had overlooked.
