The Morning Rant: Minimalist Edition

punk-monkey.jpg

"Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f*ck things up."

Even in his last days, the drooling, incontinent retard is damaging America. Or more accurately, the shadowy cabal of progressives, greens, anti-white activists, Jew-haters and America-Last adherents are busily pumping out pestiferous manipulations of our environment, our economy, and our foreign policy, all in service to what is obviously a vicious hatred of America and Americans.

But this one is so transparently ridiculous that it defies an easy explanation. So now America has to buy less efficient water heaters simply because they produce less CO2?

New Biden water heater ban will drive up energy prices for poor, seniors: expert

Customers will be pushed towards buying models that are more expensive or lean on non-instantaneous storage tank water heaters, which are generally cheaper but tend to be less efficient than the ones that are facing a ban, per the report.

This is government meddling at its worst, and the Biden/Obama junta is lashing out at America in its anger that we had the effrontery to toss them into the dustbin of history. They love to cause us pain, and mandating this sort of crap is their masturbatory fantasy.

Or...some manufacturer has greased the wheels of the bribe machine in D.C., and Joe Biden will be getting his 10%.

Or both.

The environmental movement in America has been co-opted by the rabid leftists who see it as a powerful tool to destroy the economy and drive us into poverty. Sadly, the Democrat party sees nothing wrong with that plan, and is happy to take their votes in exchange for their insanity. Go back 45 years to the Three Mile Island accident. Contrary to the carefully manipulated media reporting, the accident was trivial. Pretty much everything that could go wrong...did go wrong, yet the amount of radiation released via vented steam was minuscule. It was a testament to the reactor design, rather than a catastrophic accident.

Yet the watermelons (green on the outside... red on the inside) used it to destroy nuclear power in America. But that was okay with most people because we had lots of other energy options...at least that is what we were told by a compliant media. But coal was demonized, then oil, and now natural gas. Perhaps people should remember Martin Niemöller, quotation!

What the watermelons want is an America without any energy options except solar and wind. That means the destruction of our way of life, and a future of densely packed urban poverty.

Sounds like fun.

But President Donald Trump and his merry band of young, aggressive, unapologetic, America and market economy-loving colleagues might do some real damage to the grand plan of our enemies!

I can't wait for January 20th!

Actually, this has been the works for at least a year, back when the regime was sure they would be in power forever. It it part of the eco-fascists plan to make life worse for everyone, like banning gas stoves and making washers, dryers dishwasher expensive pieces of crap (but very efficient!)

Just wait until everyone finds out about the new refrigerants the EPA has mandated in the past year (they are flammable, similar to lighter fluid but have less global warming impact!) 36 China's coal burning is putting more CO2 into the air than the US and India combined.

More importantly CO2 is plant food with zero externalities. There's more of it in the air because the Earth is getting warmer in a natural cycle. As they warm, the oceans can't hold quite as much O2 and CO2 so there's more in the air. It's a lagging effect not a cause. And this is all measured in parts per million because it's all so marginal.

But don't let Reason get in the way ...

That is ideology.

1. What is our theory?
2. How do we make people comply with our reform indicated by our theory?

Daniel J. Flynn was the first person I heard that said that "conservatism" is really NOT an ideology. Because you first have to have an abstract, overall plan to become your idea, and then create a doctrine of that idea, often which prefers not to hear back from the Real World.

The further I get into my 29th year, the more that resonates with me. Ideology is almost intentionally not pragmatic--and not diplomatic.

Posted by: geoffb at January 07, 2025 11:20 AM (r//c2)

I suppose the idea is that everybody recognizes the legitimacy of the vote and uses the time to turn over power in an orderly manner.

Not purposely use the time to try to hobble, cripple, and generally fuck-over the incoming administration and country as the Democrats do.

And the reason Election Day is in November is because it was after the harvest, back when most of the population lived on farms. Not necessary now.

So I say we move Election Day up, then move Inauguration Day up. As it stands now, we can't really move Inauguration Day up much because the Holidays are in the way. So, make Election Day in, say, mid-September and have the inauguration shortly thereafter.

You can't pardon people. You can't sign laws. You can't enact EOs. You can't sign treaties. You can't confirm judges. You're not allowed to fuck over the American people because you lost an election.

But 1933 was not in the 18th century.

The delay between election day and inauguration day could be shortened a bit (by amendment), but it would still have to be after the new Congress is sworn in, so I'm not sure how much it could be moved up.

You hear all the left drool over how everyone in Europe takes trains and how sophisticated that is. Uhm no. They do it because the government has made driving unaffordable for the lower and middle classes. You have to be fairly well off to own one car. Own two cars? That’s for the very well off.

And we’re slowly getting to that point here. They’re never going to outright ban cars, or dishwashers or hot water heaters. They will however make it so expensive to own one, that only a small percent of people - the ones who are enacting the bans, funny enough - will be able to use them.

And half the country will happily go along with it to save the erf from warming up a degree over the next 100 years.

Speaking imprecisely is actually a pretty shrewd tactic for a politician and never assume that Trump's public persona is the same as the private man. Another, who was no dummy either, that spoke similarly (unless he chose to do otherwise) was Dwight Eisenhower.

On YT, you can find old Eisenhower press conferences and public speaking videos and his method of speaking is generally similar to Trump's.

The trick is that you let people fill in the blanks with what they want to hear from the president rather than the president's exact intentions.

Ike, having dealt with world leaders for over a decade after becoming president, was a crafty fox often called by the MSM of the time, dumb. Fred Greenstein set the record straight much later with his hidden hand history of the Ike administration.

The federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on Tuesday issued new regulations barring medical debts from American credit reports, enacting a major new consumer protection just days before President Joe Biden is set to leave office.

The rules ban credit agencies from including medical debts on consumers’ credit reports and prohibit lenders from considering medical information in assessing borrowers.

These rules, which the federal watchdog agency proposed in June, could be reversed after President-elect Donald Trump takes office Jan. 20. But by finalizing the regulations now, the CFPB effectively dared the incoming Trump administration and its Republican allies in Congress to undue rules that are broadly popular and could help millions of people who are burdened by medical debt.

Dem politicians have little to worry about with the MSM coverage as they can say outrageous things but the MSM will hide, obfuscate, or explain how what the Dem pol said was not really what they meant. Essentially the MSM is the White House Press office during Dem administrations. And in opposition, they carry the Dems on Capitol Hill and elsewhere's narratives to the proles. They don't even hide that anymore.

Administrative law is not well taught in law schools nor is it reported very well in the media. For the most part, law schools (and media) treat the whole constitutional powers body of jurisprudence as ancient and dead constitutional history.

That means, administrative law, more or less, is left to specialists that talk in vague terms like intelligible principle, delegation doctrine, separation of powers, guidance legislation, and so on. Then you have to marry that body of law with the older constitutional powers doctrines in applied cases. So it is ill reported, ill argued by appellate attorneys generally except on their specialties, and ill decided cases by most trial judges federal and state. Administrative law is a plodding and frustrating exercise in the art of the possible and vague terms.

236 And recall that while reflective of the fact that, essentially, "the US *is* NATO", the budget %s understate the situation.

Actual capability to conduct significant sustained operations, and the will to do so, exist almost only with the US. UK/France have vestigial capabilities, Italy some but only Med/naval ones. But even those members generally lack the will/mindset to do much - if there's any risk or cost.

Before some commenters here were born, a senator from MT made the "burden-sharing" issue a signature on for him. And that was with a Europe (and Canada) with generally "normal" 20th century post-war mindsets and serious fear of/opposition to the Soviet menace. Of course almost all of that is gone (and of course the Soviet menace is long gone, and has not been replaced).

It's almost - almost - like the real issue with NATO, going on 30 years, is it's very existence. Not meaningless spending %s.

Unfortunately we would lose a lot of cattle land and cropland and mineral benefits...

So I can tease about California floating off to sea, but it would really hurt.

leftist judges will definitely rule that Trump didn't follow proper "procedure" in reversing Biden orders, but that will get overruled by SCOTUS

243 It's perhaps one of the few cases where I agree with progs about the Constitution's being "outdated". But it's build on 18th-century travel and communication times. And there's no way of getting around that.

More to the point there's no solution that can be codified to the underlying problem of people acting in bad faith, largely because any such provisions would themselves inevitably be invoked--wait for it--in bad faith.

I suspect if we asked the Founders how to deal with it, they would reply, "We expected you to take the needed efforts to deal with it before it got to that point. Why didn't you?"

You learn to be devious when you are dealing with FDR, Churchill, Stalin's minions, and the assorted generals of the Allies including a stint as chief of staff to Douglas MacArthur. Occasionally, the real Ike spills out such as his vicious dressing down of George Patton on occasion. But generally, Ike preferred to leave the dressing down part to his subordinates to professional assholes like Bedell Smith or his chief of staff Sherman Adams.

250 >>> This is government meddling at its worst, and the Biden/Obama junta is lashing out at America in its anger that we had the effrontery to toss them into the dustbin of history. They love to cause us pain, and mandating this sort of crap is their masturbatory fantasy.

Speaking of... Biden is doing more federal land grabs in Utah and CA in the name of "conservation." TWO new monuments, the largest tracts of protected land in history. This effing guy. I hope Trump rolls some of it back like he did Bear's Ears monument.

"President Joe Biden on Tuesday is set to designate two new monuments and, in doing so, establish the largest tract of protected land in the continental United States by expanding a corridor out West, the White House said.
The proclamations Biden plans to sign would create the Chuckwalla and Sáttítla Highlands National Monuments, with the first in southern California and the latter in the northern mountainous part of the state. The two new monuments total nearly 850,000 acres, according to the administration."

255 You know how Greenland looks absolutely yuuuuuge on maps? That’s a distortion because it’s so far north and the further away from the equator, the bigger land masses appear on flat maps.

Greenland is in reality much smaller in size. About 1/3 the size of the continental US. Still a good chunk of real estate but not what most people assume it is.

258 Heya! I understand this is kind of off-topic but I had to ask.
Does managing a well-established website like yours require a lot of
work? I am brand new to running a blog but I do
write in my diary everyday. I'd like to start a
blog so I will be able to share my experience and views online.
Please let me know if you have any kind of suggestions or tips
for new aspiring bloggers. Thankyou!
