Hello, all. Hope you're feeling better than I am.
I noticed someone mention Jackie Mason in connection with the cartoon shorts The Ant and the Aardvark. One of the few pieces of trivia I can usually remember is that the voice of the aardvark was not Jackie Mason - it was the impressionist John Byner, who did a Mason impression for the Aardvark and a Dean Martin voice for the Ant. As well, Byner was the original choice for Mork in the series Mork and Mindy, but turned the part down because he thought the show's premise was ridiculous. #FBINewOrleans thanks all our new friends/Swifties who provided a little extra gear to our folks this weekend! Everything goes with camo. MAG1775 @Mar50cC5O 25m Replying to @FBINewOrleans The FBI’s track record is downright embarrassing when it comes to stopping actual threats, yet they have no issue using every resource to target political opponents. They miss terrorist attacks and multiple mass shooters, but somehow can track down 1/6 protesters using geotagging? It’s crystal clear where their priorities lie, and it’s not with the safety of the American people. KernolSooner @kernolsooner 1h Maybe should've been looking for jihadist that have came across the border and not grannies/mom/dad's at school board meetings! @Kash_Patel @realDonaldTrump ☮️ Teresa @WalkerTeresa007 3h THIS is why we hate the FBI. Whoot!
I feel somewhat guilty about having had a peaceful, lovely day when so many are hurting and traumatized. I went for a dunk in the 47 degree Puget Sound in the morning, went home and drank some coffee, then went for a 4 mile walk on the beach and saw 6-7 Orcas across the water. They were awesome! Came home and have been puzzling for a few hours. I got myself a 1000 piece funky puzzle with dahlia flowers and a kitty. It's nice to work my brain in a different way. Fasting as well, had my coffee, lots of water with ACV and a big mug of turkey broth. Will have some tea later on. Best to you all! Back to work tomorrow. Off topic, but a New Years suggestion to all that might land you some extra cash:
Go to the govt. website of each state you worked in over the years and do an "Unclaimed Property" search. Also, do one in the home state of any corporation HQ you might have been employed by over the years. You might be surprised. I did this recently and received a sizeable check just recently from the State of Connecticut (seriously, enough to purchase a car if I so desired). I have another still pending in another New England state. These were funds owed to me that I didn't even know existed. Hey, when you're young and inexperienced, you miss some of the nuances of corporate work, but the employers don't. Posted by: Orson at January 01, 2025 07:49 PM (dIske) 47

And yet the organization goes on, confident that no one will have the stones to touch them. This is why I believe that Patel is bound to fail. He might succeed in weeding out some high-profile bad apples, but I am willing to bet that the FBI will survive and, in fact, expand its power by the end of Trump's term. A fine New Year's Day luncheon with the kids. Black-eye pea stew, cornbread, followed by pantatony or whatever it's called and coffee, with a generous shot of whipped cream and Bailey's.
After the family left, after clean-up, MiladyJo and I took a long nap to catch up on the sleep we didn't get last night. Woke up to the dark and the New Year Zoo was already posted. Cafe. Whatever.
