Posted by: Ben Had ==== Our pup came from the breeder with diarrhea pre-installed. Can't remember the name, but the vet told us it was an inevitable exposure. So we gave her some sort of powder, started adding pumpkin to her kibble, and haven't had issues since she was 6 months. Biff, We have had several Danes. Absolutely love the breed. The last two we had were half sisters and we also had two Teacup Chihuahua sisters. They would all sleep together and the littles would stand under the Danes when they were eating and they would eat the food the sloppy Danes dropped on the floor. No one ended up being a Scooby snack, lol. We still miss them to this day. Posted by: four seasons at December 18, 2024 08:49 PM (3ek7K) 111
Biff. Along with the rescues I had 4 Wolfhounds , then 4 mini wire haired doxies and I love certain breeds. I have raised quarter horses forever and am a lineage snob on that front.

With the bears, Werner has much experience. They are walking dispensers of chaos, retribution, and irony (see my work "Grizzly Man" for further exposition on the last one there). Also, they are furry and enjoy pick-a-nick baskets with their understudy/apprentice Boo-Boo. Their hunger is a mixture with their capacity for mischief, if you might term disemboweling as mischief. Here Werner speaks not of himself, but of the bear, for whom fangs and claws are their tools of expression.
I had read that standing up straight and waving one's arms would express dominance, and the intimidated bruin would flee. While in pre-production for "Grizzly Man," I sent Klaus Kinski out to try this with the Kodiak Grizzlies. "I am become your Doom, the Destroyer of Bears," Klaus screamed, then screamed much more as a Grizzly laid into him. After getting some fairly good footage of this, the cinematographer and I rushed to Klaus's aid. With bear spray, tire irons, and knives, during a prolonged wrestling, we finally persuaded the bear to retreat. I comforted a weeping and bleeding Klaus with the news that we had some good footage. That Klaus - he was definitely a trouper. Posted by: Werner Herzog Has Opinions at December 18, 2024 08:56 PM (tmPIh) 117
