Police: It Doesn't Matter If the Deranged Killer in the Christian School Shooting Was Yet Another Trans Assassin

No matter at all. Police should just pretend this epidemic isn't happening and take no new steps to avoid such shootings in the future.

Wisconsin's capital city is in shock after a 15-year-old girl pulled out a 9mm pistol Monday morning and shot up her study hall, killing a teacher and a fellow student at the Christian school she attended before turning the weapon on herself and ending her life, Madison Police confirmed.
Natalie Rupnow injured six others, including two students with life-threatening wounds and a teacher and three other students who suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the attack on Madison's Abundant Life Christian School, according to police.
While Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes wasn't commenting on motive Monday evening, an unidentified law enforcement source told the Associated Press that the shooter "had been dealing with problems and expressed some of those in writings," CNN reported. There were reports that Rupnow, who police say liked to go by "Samantha," had penned a manifesto, although Barnes said police had yet to verify the authenticity of the document. "The good news," the chief said, is that Madison police have shared the information with its partners at the FBI.
There's no doubt the suspected killer was disturbed, as evidenced by her violent outburst at the K-12 private school with a mission "to develop students who are committed disciples of Jesus Christ through an excellent, comprehensive, Biblically-integrated educational program."
She planned the attack in advance, a "law enforcement official familiar with the investigation" told CNN.
'I Don't Think That's Important'
There was speculation Monday that the shooter was transgender, although other sources disputed the claim. Some said she had an "online obsession with school shooters."
Barnes insisted that he doesn't care whether Rupnow was transgender, as some reports indicated. It's not important, he said, when asked by a leftist reporter about "misinformation" online. The Madison journalist effectively wagged her finger at parental rights group for claiming the shooter was transgender, "which is a reaction that we see across the country linked with mass shootings to claim that trans people are dangerous."
Barnes, a far-left police chief in one of the most LGBTQ agenda-pushing cities in America, said he wished people would "leave their own personal biases out of this."
"I don't know whether Natalie was transgender or not and quite frankly I don't think that's even important. I don't think that's important at all," the chief told reporters at an evening press conference. "I don't think that whatever happened today has anything to do with how she or he or they my have wanted to identify ..."
Barnes subsequently acknowledged that Rupnow's gender identity "is something that may come out later."

When I wrote "Again" in my headline about this yesterday, my "again" was meant to suggest my suspicion that this was yet another trans murder spree. I didn't want to say it because it was just a suspicion, and we still don't know the facts, but we do seem to be heading to that conclusion.

Police take an interest in boys who show a particular profile indicating a propensity for violence.

But they're going to studiously ignore the grim reality that mentally-ill children indoctrinated into the trans cult have been murdering their fellow students at an alarming rate.

Biden, meanwhile, is calling for, you guessed it, gun control.

After pardoning his dirtbag whoremonger son for committing a gun crime.

43 I am trying to think of a single "common sense gun law" that might have prevented this event. There are storage laws that apply to limiting access to guns for children 14 or younger. The shooter was 15 so those laws wouldn't apply.

I know I always kept my guns locked when at home except for the one I was carrying. And even my adult children didn't have unfettered access to the stored guns.

Now that we have young grandchildren I am locking my guns again after a few years when we had no minors in the house.

But, it appears the shooter may have somehow gotten access to a pistol by duping her father in some way. I would think I might have responded very differently to a young teen asking about access as that would have been a red flag for me.

But, nothing I have seen proposed thus far would have prevented this event. Crazy people are willing to kill their own parents to get access to guns to commit murder so "safe storage" isn't really a solution here.

I know private Christian schools in my area specifically state that they reserve the right to deny entry to any student who doesn't believe in the tenets of the faith, is disruptive or unruly, etc.

Institutions for the homeless/insane/disabled in the 80s were often cruel, very "One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest" in their treatment. I know a women that was disabled and confined to a wheelchair, the state put her in an institution and operated on her without her consent so she could never reproduce. She said one of the best days of her life was when the ADA passed, and she could get out of the hellhole institution she was stuck in.

We can't return to that. But there needs to be more facilities for people with severe mental illnesses who aren't safe to themselves or others.

NYC needs mental health clinics on every corner at this point, and they refuse to even address the problem. I know a mental health worker student that graduated, and finding any available clinics to work in was impossible. She had to schlep on the subway two boroughs over for an inferior job, hoping a clinic job in Manhattan opened up. Meanwhile the need grows.

Yeah, I get that. I'm asking, though, why would the school accept students that have serious mental or emotional issues that could present a danger to other students.

If I were a parent sending my kids to a small, private Christian school, I'd want them to have very firm policies to keep out the public school rejects.

The point of allowing faculty to arm themselves is that it eliminates the "Victim Zone." None of the teachers have to actually carry for the shooters to worry that one of them is.

Say, has anyone heard of military base shootings lately? They used to happen all the time, but after Knoxville the standards for carry were loosened on base (and in many states, National Guard troops were authorized to carry).

Funny how that one weird trick stopped it in its tracks.

Mental Hospitals were really the last holdout of the depression era state/county/city institutional hospitals that were all made unnecessary with various advances in medicine.

They were a throwback and very poorly run. Just imagine, the people who worked there were those unable to get a job at the prison or a private hospital. (Not all certainly, but they attracted low achievers.)

Their conditions were also sensationalized in the news and media.

So yes they were very bad, but there is no reason to think we can't do better. It would be like saying we can not have clothing factories because in the 1930s they were cruel sweatshops.

Deinstitutionalization nationwide in fact resulted largely from a Supreme Court decision (O'Connor v. Donaldson, 1975) that made involuntary institutionalization difficult. As a consequence mental institutions were forced to release many inmates who did not want to remain there.

Medication to control mental illness "in the community" (as the leftist phrase went) depend on the patients' taking their medication. /1
