The cooks in our brigade mess hall got pretty good at cutting up rabbit so it looked like chicken when they served it. Couple of mistaken selections, and I'm okay with rabbit on the menu.

Reminds me of the mornings before work started when I was a kid on the farm raking hay. I hated to start the little Ford tractor and scare all the animals.
Just a 10yo kid with a pb sammich and a frozen milk jog of water and 120 acres of alfalfa to rake.

I'll have to look around up here. Our brand isn't Pel-Freez. I've seen Gonsalves and one other I can't recall. We used to have an old Portagee in town who had a great fresh fish truck and occasionally had beautiful fresh rabbits, but he shut down a few years back.

That happened to my neighbor when I lived out in the country in Michigan. He'd dropped a very large oak tree and had de-limbed the entire thing, hauling all the brush to the burn pile. All that remained was for him to buck up the huge trunk with his chainsaw.
The trunk was laying on an incline and he was standing on the downhill side of the trunk (big mistake) to buck. The trunk rolled onto his foot, trapping him as it continued to roll, stopping on his chest. His wife watched the whole thing happen, but was powerless, of course, to do anything to save him.

Has the late '70s animated film ever been shown on TV? I can imagine it would frighten a kid -- the General frightened *me* as a grownup, just reading about him, and his depiction in the film is just as bad.
There was a new multi-part adaptation a few years ago, and I watched a few parts on YooToob. All the rabbits looked alike, the lighting was that dim greyish stuff you see in all the live-action films now, and the whole thing turned me off. I have no idea how they depicted the General.

I noticed that yesterday as well. Checked my X groups to find Jack Posobiec calling Nancy Mace a "fed" because she voted against the crap CR. And now his timeline for the past day has been full of him ripping into Nancy Mace and Mace ripping him. It's why I don't trust any of these "conservative" influencers anymore. Seems to be all about drama and clicks, instead of principles.
That said, Mace does have some pretty stupid takes on issues in her past. Including supporting sending money to Ukraine, praising Zelensky and pushing George Floyd racism nonsense.

I don't recall that. I do remember that one of Hazel's original escapees from the first warren is caught and killed (offscreen) by an owl in an early scene of the film, whereas in the novel, all the rabbits who followed Hazel out of their doomed home survived the adventure. As Adams's children specified, "None of *our* rabbits should die."
To me, such a small thing doesn't matter. The filmmakers captured the look of the rabbits and their world, they kept the oral traditions of the rabbits and El-Ahrairah, and it was *exciting.*

I think that's the direction, if they're forcing that shit upon us, they should go. Not full electric. That's just not sustainable.

The different factions have always hated each other, and the combination of the coup and the election loss is just making it obvious that there's no real reason to act like they like each other anymore.
Snubs are rampant. Sniping is increasing. Leaks are getting more interesting (like Jill wanting to burn the Obamas).
That's all to say: Biden and Kamala are not on the same side. I'd say it's more likely that Biden leaks information about some Kamala corruption than Biden trusts Kamala to help him in anyway.

We've never had a Kia, but have had five Hyundais over the years. We would drive one, sell it (cheap) to one son, then drive another, do the same for other son. Great cars, and not ridiuclously expensive. Wife's Elantra has almost 150k miles on it, and other than routine maintenance and new tires, has been a dream.

Europe has had this model for years--although not the suppression so much as recently. And this is the form that "progressives" in America have admired, the system where the government "has enough power to DO SOMETHING".
The American Left typically hates Checks and Balances and Separation of Power, because it gets in the way of its agenda.
But it's the lack of Separation of Power that has allowed the countries of Europe to become what they are. They moved from well-meaning Fascism (the symbol of strength in unity) to its more repressive form.
